Why are the parks closing so early? 6pm on a Friday night seems crazy!

May 12th is showing as gradventure night but May 13th is showing as IOA closing at 8pm and Studios closing at 9pm.

AAARGH , Thanks for this info I had not seen this thought I had my plan all figured out coming off a RC cruise FRI and was going to hit up the parks Fri and Sat.

Does gradventure make it a busy weekend or only Friday night? We are checking in Saturday just wondering what to expect crowd wise.

We've been there that weekend several times. It's busy. Race @ WDW has many avoiding that area. Mother's Day in US too. However, it does start to clear out late afternoon Sunday, Monday low crowds.

What race at WDW is that weekend? There isn't a runDinsey event in May in WDW this year. I believe Tink is that weekend but it is DL.

OP Grand nights will be a little more busy. I don't think Friday morning will be that bad but as the after noon progresses and the groups arrive it'll get busy.

I was confused about the Tinkerbell 1/2 marathon as well. I googled events in Orlando for May and it shows up as an Orlando event that weekend. I think it's because Run Disney has their HQ in Lake Buena Vista? However the details for the event say DL.
