I haven't been too good about posting here the past week....but doing so just reminds me that the trip is over...and I'm still in TOTAL denial!!:goodvibes ;) ;)

I am so thrilled to hear that so many of you are back safely and to be able to continue to hear about your lives (even if so many of us...that's right US...have colds...what a souvenir!!! :lmao: ). I've started becoming active on the thread for the Double Dip but Jason and I can't help but compare everything there to this cruise, this thread, and all of you.....you've all ruined us for every other trip!! :lmao: (well...not REALLY...but you've sure set the bar pretty high for all future trips!!)

xoxo,

Oh I am so glad that I am not the only one with a cold!! I am finally feeling like I am in the land of the living :)

Miss you all!

Oh... and to everyone... if you see a picture in the album that you would like, just let me know and I would be happy to send it to you.

Debbie

Love the pics! Especially the phins to the left, phins to the right. Bummed we missed out on all the fun. I think we were probably eating dinner!

Thanks for taking scrapbook photos too. Boy, we had alot of people in there, didn't we.......Hope everyone had fun!

Can't wait to see more.

Hi everyone! It is great to "hear" all the familiar voices again! We had a wonderfull trip and we will never forget our 25th anniversary! Thanks to everyone of you for adding a little magic to our experience!

I am sitting in another airport waiting for a flight home and looking forward to getting to my own bed. We arrived home, dumped the laundry in the machine, repacked the next day and I have been on the road in Asia since. So I feel like I am finally going to get home from the cruise!

The cruise was wonderfull but the trip home, like many others it seems was a nightmare. We were on the first shuttle to the airport on Saturday, dropped off at terminal 1 with no porters or carts and made our way to terminal 2. Check in for our flight to Frankfurt went ok and we left BCN on time, arriving FRA a few minutes early. Those of us connecting to SFO were put on a bus and taken to the other side of the airport. There were about 20 of us and they litterally made us run through the airport to our gate. We arrived about 20 minutes before the departure time and were told that the flight had closed 40 minutes before departure time. Even though they new we were coming it didn't matter! We made our way back to check in where it took nearly 5 hours for them to tell us that we could not fly out that day. They agreed to put us up in a "really nice 4 star hotel", give us food vouchers and book us direct to Vancouver the next day. We then had to claim our bags back, a major hastle as we had already cleared customs, and found one bag missing. Our hotel shuttle turned out to be a city bus with no lugggage facilities and the hotel might pass for a two star hostel. Meals were a buffet about the size of the dessert bar on the magic, the temp in the room was 83 and the aircon was a small portable fan! We repeated the trek back to the airport in the am on the "shuttle", checked in to find we were not sitting together and arrived into Vancouver missing another bag (down 2 now). Had to file the paperwork and missed our connecting flight home so waited for 5 hours for the next one. Total time to get home from BCN was 47 hours!

It was a nightmare but we all decided we would do the whole thing again if we had the chance to do the cruise once more!!!

I sure hope that we get the chance to meet one and all sometime in the future and even now wondering when I can surpise the girls again! Double dip, hmmm - will have to check the dates.....

Regards to all,
Greg:)

Debbie--we just went through your photos  WOW! Fantastic! I can't believe how many great shots there are. We are especailly amazed at how good the photos of people on stage came out (much much better than mine). We will end up ordering several. But, I will just order them directly frmo the sight as I would pay just as much to havr them printed here. THANK YOU for being the BEST photographer and for sharing.

And Greg--Welcome home. Say hi to the girls from us. Yes, surprise them with the Sept. '08 double dip. We'll need you at ROckin' Bar D!

xoxo,

Its spoiled me as well Erik. Im booked on the return journey just because of my amazing time on this cruise and Im worried now that any other trip will pale into insigificance compaired to this. This was a trip of a life time. Thanks to everyone we met from the group and all the nice presents we got. You helped make our trip even more special!

Lindsay

Eric, It is good to be spoiled....Ahh the stories we can tell.

Debbie, I know the pics are great and will have to look at them tonight.
There aren't any ones of me playing with my food???? Tee Heee.

Got the new gate in and the Jungle mowed yesterday and a few other chores, with a nice run. Today was weight thisd morning and will run latewr today, that 1/2 marathon looms.

I gained three pounds on the cruise, got the courage up to get on the scales this morning.

Later kids have a great week.

I gained 4 pounds on teh cruise....but I have to be honest...I'm EXCITED about that....i was sure I'd gain 10 with all the eating so 4 pounds feels very lose-able to me!! We've already started trying to increase our walking/working out and decrease our eating a bit now that we're home.

All those stairs and dancing at Rockin' Bar D seems to have paid off for us. Dave came home exactly the weight he left at and I actually lost 2 pounds:woohoo: But I am still looking to loose a bit. I didn't quite get into that pink barbie dress for this cruise but I figure I have more than a year to get into it for the Double Dip. The sad thing is I could loose all I need and then some by just dropping drinking COke I bet, but I haven't had the willpower to do it yet:rolleyes1

I loved the pictures! I did realize that I missed some pretty cool stuff, like when (it looks like) you made flubber. When did you all do that? And what were those round pink/purple balls you made? Fun stuff. I miss everyone.

No colds here and I've been losing weight since the cruise--I can't figure out why. Either (1) I ate so much that I feel I never need to eat again (2) Everything I make now tastes blechy (3) I forgot how to cook during my 14 days of pampering.

Anyone else feel like they forgot how to take care of themselves? I mean really, I have to make my OWN bed, put my OWN napkin on my life, clear my OWN dishes, clean my OWN bathroom, and drive MYSELF? Puh. I have become very spoiled and reality bites.

Last day of school tomorrow. Always a sad day for me--transitions. I don't like them.

I am rebooked to take my 6 girls, minus the boys and hubby, on the return. I can't recreate the last cruise (pout) but I think it will be a great thing for the girls to see all the places we saw, and maybe this will begin a yearly "girls only" outing, where I can steal them away from hubbies and kids (in the future) and just have fun with my favorite girls in the whole world. Gotta train them to expect this outing, right? Ah, justification...

Gotta work on those run-on sentences!

Oh my HOW exciting! So you're gonna get back on the Magic way before most of us you lucky dog!!

Erik, I was just reading about your double dip. I think you are very lucky to be cruising with the gang again! I'm debating bagging the PC cruise and going on the double dip--it would be more cost effective and time effective AND a guaranteed good time with all you guys. I do miss seeing you daily.

Hi all! We finally made it home too!

I can't thank all of you enough for the great times and wonderful memories and new friendships we've made.

I also came off the ship with the cold that everyone seems to have. It is not much of one. At first I thought it might be an allergy. Then a couple of days ago I got the cough. Like I said, it's not much, but it's keeping me from being able to hold my new grandson.

We're taking the other grandson to Disneyland on Wednesday. He needs a little extra attention right now (little brother is taking up all of parent's time).

Deanna--I think the girls' trip for you and your darlings sound awesome. Plus, how lucky are you to get to take another 14 nighter so soon? Of course, I think you should bag PC and come with us on the double dip:rolleyes1 BUT I don't blame you for going for the longer trip and cool itenerary. One of these days I hope we get to sail again with you though, and meet your girls.

Susie--Congrats on the new Grandson. What a bummer to not be able to hold him (but probably good for big bro to see that not everyone has his little bro all the time). Have fun at DL.

Anita--Glad to see you are home safe. Thanks for working on the kid goodie bags with me; it was fun.

DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!! :lmao:
