On the off chance, is someone driving to the port real early 5-6 am on Saturday with room for one body and no luggage.

I have flip flopped on the idea of getting there early to take my chances in the upgrade sweepstakes. The stories I read of 4-5 category upgrades for a few hundred dollars sounds mighty tempting.

The biggest obstacle for us is my mother, whose knees are not up to standing around for 4 hours until the doors open. So that rules out taking the whole gang over so early.

It would just be me and the rest would follow with the luggage by Taxi latter.

I'll gladly pay the tolls and help with gas etc. and liven the journey with my Witty repartee.

Depending on how you are traveling, Beach/Bee-line or 417 I can be waiting at the Narcoossee off/on ramp to either road and would delay your trip less than a minute or two. I would be in my CafePress B2B Tee Shirt for easy identification. (Narcoossee Rd is the first exit past the Airport on 417 and the second exit past the airport on the Beach/Bee-line)

Maybe I'll even bring the DIS Banner we painted so we can get an early start with the cast off party.:cool1:

If this meshes with anyones plans please let me know. If not I will just stick to plan "A" and come with my family at the regular time.

PS I don't smoke or cuss and I'm fully house broken... And I promise not to say "are we there yet" more than eleven, make that thirteen times..

OOPS! Well I see that I wasn't first to post the room number for the Wine & Cheese event....but I'm glad it got on here earlier in the evening so that people could see it. Again, sorry that I couldn't get on earlier...but we had a very full day today......

I let my parents sleep in this morning (they've been really run ragged on this trip...poor things! *lol*) and then we met Kelly and her husband, Jonathan, and ADORABLE daughter, Zoe at the Crystal Palace for lunch....LOOOOOOVELY!!! It made Jason and I even more excited for this cruise because we've been posting so much on here that Kelly and I were like we knew each other already and we just talked like old friends at lunch....and so I bet that all of us who've been a part of this awesome group are going to have a GREEEEEAT time together on this trip!!

Anyhow, after that we hung out in MK for the rest of the afternoon...a few attractions, a parade, then home to change for dinner at Fulton's (which my parents LOVED, by the way...so thanks to everyone who suggested it) and then to Cirque...which my floored my parents (of course it floored me, too, and I've seen it 4 times before!!).

I know I haven't posted full trip reports or any pictures on here.......but I just haven't had time...and now I need to go downstairs and help Jason with the laundry so we're all set to board the ship on Saturday..PLUS my parents leave tomorrow afternoon......so here's the deal.....

....if you wanna know more about our trip or see some of the pics we took, come and chat me up on the cruise...it'll be a good conversation starter!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

(...BUT we didn't get any of our photopass pictures because we found out we can keep our same photopass card and put more pictures on it during our Memorial Weekend stay AFTER the cruise and then get them ALL on one CD for the same price).

OK....I'll see some of you in less than 24 and ALL of you in less than 48......Jason and I can't wait!!!

:tigger:

Bon Voyage everyone :thumbsup2 Have safe flights and the best time ever! Tell the Magic I said "HI" and will be back on her next Summer...

Have a Rockin great Time!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Wow, 5-6 am??? You guys are planning to start the terminal line THAT early? Wow!
We will be driving to the port the night we arrive (tomorrow). We want an early start too.
Just wanted to post my last post, since we will be traveling all day tomorrow. We will be just arriving in MCO at 9:00 so maybe we can by chance catch Ken there and get our lanyards early before heading out to Country Inn and suites that night. :thumbsup2
Maybe see some people tomorrow, and if not, see everyone in line at the terminal Saturday morning---or at the DIS meet, whichever comes first!

That sure would be awesome if extra CM were there to wave us off. I have never been on a inaugural or "different" Magic sailing before. I love the anticipation!

Okay. This really is my very last pre trip post. I was just thinking about those of you whose significant others are cruiseing with us while you are stuck at home working. The kids and I travel some when Dave is worknig hard and it is always bittersweet for us. We love traveling, but we really hate to miss the time with a loved one (and miss sharing those experiences) and we always feel guilty about leaving him behind. I imagine it is how we all feel. So a big TAHNK YOU to those of you who are left behind for sharing hte most important people in your lives with us. We will do our best to take care of them for you.

I read this to DH and it choked me up. I've been so busy, I haven't really had time to think about missing him for two weeks:sad1: .

I'm in that "I don't have time to think about it - throw it in" frantic state of packing. So overpacked now....

I'm one of the spouses who is NOT going along, although I would like to. I'd like to track the cruise online, so if somebody creates an online thread, would you drop me a PM? Gracias! Vaya con Queso!
Curt

So hard to believe that after a year of dreaming our "ship" has arrived!

The pollen has been soooo bad here this year that its really zapped my energy and reduced my well thought out packing and pre-depature routine to a simple panic attack. :confused3 whats a girl to do?
I know, have a drink and RELAX!:goodvibes

We land in Orlando around 2:50 and are having a sedan pick us up for the transfer to the Cape,

We are staying at the Radisson and are booked on the first shuttle to the ship at 10.

We are both going to be wearing green. You won't miss DH (jeff) in his very lime green shirt! ha ha I will be wearing green pants. ;)

I have all the fish extenders with dowl rods cut and drilled. I also have the ties and zip ties for all. I will bring them to the port and also to the sailaway party.

Safe travels to all.....

Have a great time all of you :goodvibes
I've loved reading your preparation and excitement and now it's time to go!!:cheer2:
Smooth sailing- post soon:wave2:

Heading to the airport in two minutes. Dave is worried he will maek a bad impression because he is not shaved:rotfl: Razor was packed last night. Told hoim not to worry.
Goot run catch a plane.
Can't wait to meet.

Good Morning Everyone.
Finally getting around to things.
Had my Kahlua and coffee in the
ht.gif
(one of my many vices).
No Krispy Kremes. (another vice ignored since Valentines Day) Will enjoy them on the ship.
Will catch up on the boards and e-mails.
Next up will be mowing the grass.
Then finish the packing. I know, it should have been done already.

Hope that all of you that are traveling have a safe trip.
And that all of you going to the Wine and Cheese thingie have a great time without me.:sad1:

Looking forward to seeing Bob and Cheryl tomorrow at MCO and the rest of you on the Magic.
Can't wait for our trip to "The Farside of the World" to begin.

Mañana

It's time! It's time! It's time!

I couldn't stay in bed anymore. The shuttle service will be here in 2 hours to take us to the airport, here in Phoenix. And then it is one long day, as we won't be arriving at MCO until 8 PM, Orlando time.

My parents pulled a last minute transportation switcheroo on us. I thought we were taking the DCL bus from the airport on Saturday morning, but no, we're taking the bus from Port Orleans instead. You guys know what time the resort buses finally get to the port. I'm trying to tell myself, it's not worth getting upset thinking about you guys getting on the ship so early. We already have all the reservations we need, and aren't looking for an upgrade since we are Cat 5 already. I just want to make sure we have time to eat lunch, pick up the lanyards and be hungry again for dinner!

Have safe flights eveyone and see you tomorrow morning!!!

Though I'm a little sad that the wait is finally over. IT has been so much fun planning, preparing, reading this board...:sad1:

NOW LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!:yay: :yay:

Called IDG this a.m., and they received the box we sent on ahead to load tomorrow a.m. - they said they had a pallet shrink wrapped with about 10 passenger boxes ready to load tomorrow morning at 0645.

Assuming good flights and car rental, we'll be at the Country Inn & Suites tonight. I see the boarding line will start at about 0700 in the morning - good luck if you are one of those people waiting. We'll be there about 0930-1000. We'll have on our CafePress Transatlantic shirts.

We look forward to putting faces with those people we've enjoyed reading about for the last few months.

I'm bringing a DVD burner that can be hooked up to a camcorder or any A/V-in port. If you have blank DVD disks (-R, +R, +-RW, or DVD-RAM), we can hook-up to burn off your vid's.

See everyone tomorrow!

Kurt, Marlea, Kyan Grace, Kristopher

This is it!!!! Hard to believe, but we too are about to head out. We get into MCO around 6:30 and are driving to the port and staying at the Residence Inn.

See everyone tomorrow!!!!!!! I'm sure everyone already in Orlando is having fun already. So safe travels to those making their way there, and best wishes to those who will be watching from afar.

 C.

OOOOH! The posting's getting slow....cause the cruise is getting close!! We're in our resort hotel room now waiting on my parents to finish up the last of their packing...then we're off to rainforest cafe for lunch and then Disney's Magical Express will be picking them up for their flight home. Jason and I are all packed for the cruise except for the clothes we're wearing tonight and tomorrow..and we're just carrying on our swim stuff (to maybe hit the pool once we board) and our computer and all our paperwork and stuff.

See a bunch of you in a few short hours!

Safe travels to all who still need to get to FL and for the cruise! I am so excited for all of you. I am looking forward to seeing your Trip Reports, as I am on the 1st Med cruise. (Hi to all you B2Ber's!) 12 more days for me until my vacation starts.

hi, Scott, I have a question. I don't know if you have your computer up and running, but I have a question: Is your room at OKW on the first floor? If not, does your building have an elevator? We don't know whether to bring Pat over for the Wine and Cheese event. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
