Ken - I saw PrincessTToo on the PC site and their signature does not mention this cruise but does have the WB PC 2008 listed. If you want me to hunt for others let me know and I will help with that.

Thanks gydell - the more info the better. PrincessTToo opened my PM asking about the cruise, but didn't respond.

Hi Everyone,
it's been a couple of weeks since i've had a chance to post and that seems to be about 25 pages!
to back track to a few past posts...
about us:
Me: SAHM, Chris: Airline Pilot, Nick: active preschooler, Lilly: apparently indestructible toddler (who thinks she 4)
we currently live in Dubai in the UAE we have been here about 2 1/2 years now. prior to that we spent many years in Singapore - however Australia is still home.
we love Disney and have made the around the world trip 4 times so far starting out at ten days in the world and extending to almost three weeks last time. this is our third Magical experience. the first was a western, our second an eastern turned western (Rita was in the area) and this was planned to be next years Christmas cruise but this one seemed too good to turn down!

Fav Characters:
Me: The Beast
Chris: Hades
Nick: probably Lightening McQueen or Leo from Little Einsteins
Lilly: Pooh Bear and Tigger equally

Fav romantic movie (Disney): Beauty and the Beast

I'm sure there were lots of other questions i haven't answered yet...
oh excursions and Palo... don't laugh but nothing booked yet we seem to be having difficulties with our castaway number and living 12 hours time diff away makes sorting it out amusing!
oh well it will all work out in the long run - it always does!

hope this post wasn't too long...
:)michelle

Hi Michelle, welcome back! We've watched so many tennis tournaments and shows about the land development about Dubai and all I can say is WOW - what a fascinating country!! I'll be anxious to meet you and hear more about your life there. How old are Lilly and Nick? We have only a few little ones onboard and are excited to have some more join the group. Kelly

OK....I work in a field that is just RIDDLED with acronyms for diseases and germs and agencies and everything....it took me a few minutes to sit here and try to intuit what a "SAHM" was...hehehe:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OOOH...you also just reminded me of something else I love about Disney, both the cruises and the parks themselves.....all the international travelers!!

How is it living that part of the world right now? My brother is in the Air Force and just returned from a tour in Saudi and Iraq...which are obviously over there although I woudl assume very different from Dubai. Also, we were just watching a TV special on Discovery Channel (I think??) about the creation and building of Palm Island which is there in Dubai, isn't it? FASCINATING!

And how FABULOUS that you're from Australia!! I missed a chance to travel there (to Sydney for an international athletic event) 4 years ago and am still kicking myself!! Australia and Antarctica are the only two continents I've never been to....but hope to check them both off my list sometime in my life!

After being indecisive about this cruise for months, we've finally decided we just have to go! We're new to posting here, but have used the Dis boards for years as the best planning resource for DCL we could find!

We have two guaranteed cat 12 staterooms, though we're hoping for an upgrade!

Our dinner seating is late

Our daughter will celebrate her 10th birthday in Gibraltar, and our sons are
14 and 15!

This will be our fourth Disney cruise;

December 2004--4-night Wonder
December 2005--7-night Eastern Caribbean
September 2006--11-night Southern Caribbean

Hey guys....

So I have a question for those of you who've done one of these very long repo cruises before.....how do they work the Animator's Palate "show"? I konw that on the 4 night Wonder cruises and the 7 nights in the Caribbean they say that your night to see the "light show" will usually be your first night in Animator's.....is it the same way aboard a repo cruise? I assume that on a cruise this long we'll be scheduled to eat in Animator's at least 4, maybe even 5 times....does that mean that they do the show the first time and rest of the times you eat there are sans colorful extravaganza?

(Part of the reason I ask is that we LOOOOOOVE that...so we don't want to miss it....so if my Palo reservations are not in the first 3 nights of the cruise AND we know they do the show on your first visit then I shoudl be pretty much guaranteed that we won't miss it, right?)

Erik,

Although we have never done a DCL repo, we were on last September's 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise. The regular *shows* in the restaurants were spaced throughout the course of the voyage, but there were some Disney surprises thrown in along the way, too! At Tritons, Ariel and cast made a musical appearance, and at AP there was a tribute to the original Mickey Mouse Club! The regular AP show occurred during our second dinner there.

Hi all!!
Been trying to catch up reading all the pages on htis thread. DW (Sherry) and I (Jerry) are on board and ready to join the fun.
We'll be in the main seating for dinner and in cabin 6594. After the cruise we're going to Paris for a few days, then to DLP. I need suggestions for getting to Paris from Barcelona, Please.

Welcome Magical_Dreams and jw2736!!!!

You may want to check out the first post on page 143 of this thread for some general info. We have a cruise list and I'm taking names for free name badges and lanyards. We also have t-shirts. So check out page 143.

I think we have always had the show in Animator's the first night we were in there. I would plan on that and then ask your server the first night when you are on the ship and make sure that on the rotation you are on it will be shown the first night.

Just one of the worries about flying overseas.

Speaking of that. Anyone heard of, or flown on Easy Jet.. Trying to get to Paris from Barcleona and found this airline.
