CA Cruisin - it's called Land Sickness, an inner ear thing.

I love that landsickness feeling. When I am back at work I can just close my eyes and feel like I am back on my ship. :goodvibes

It's great to see so many familiar names on this cruise--almost like a PC reunion!! Mechelle and I are excited to be taking the Magic to the Med!! I still have lots of planning to do for the 11 night cruise in September so the planning for the repo will have to wait a few months.

Thanks. The inner ear thing makes sense. From reading the thread on the main board it sounds like I can minimize the symptoms by continuing to take the Bonine on land for a few days.

HAppy Easter one and all, hope ya find all your eggs.

Here is a taste of that!!! It was a blast :cheer2:

You have to click on the picture to make it play. In the lab!

Debbie, Thanks so much for sharing that film - that looks too cool. I can't wait. Did they announce that in the navigator or did you have to have kids there to find out about it?

It was in the Navigator. They were a bit overwhelmed by how many of us showed up!! They actually scheduled another one later on in the cruise.

The counselors had so muchfun with us

We felt the landsickness dizzy feeling too. It was frustrating. We also felt the dizzies every time we went to the front of the boat esp. in the theatre. The cast member in the store told me that they hear that a lot.

As a drug & behavior expert I know quite a bit about getting high. I believe that as you move forward on the boat you get that euphoria... it makes you so giddy when you see the shows... the leftover feeling makes you a better Disney shopper in the Treasure Ketch and Mickey's mates... you buy more Mickey chocolate covered peanuts at Preludes. Something comes over you as you happily skip from place to place purchasing and then you wonder if you're a little sea sick or are you high from the experience? You pass by the line of excited little faces waiting to see Cinderella and Pluto in the Lobby on your way to see the smiles at Shutters. And the feeling starts to wear off and you think maybe it's because I ate so much today! Oh look at my watch, it's time for the midnight dessert buffet...

As a scientist, I'm just saying that maybe it's the Disney high, not the inner ear.

Happy Easter everyone.

I knew there was something they put in the water. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

happy easter! i finally got a night off this week!

i updated the first page (thanks epcotkilterfan for teaching me how!) so for convenience everyone can just click on the first page to click to the cruise roster.....

just let me know as we gather more info what other links you would like to see there....i know how frustrating it may be to search the thread for important links!

Well, I don't think you're nuts. Yesterday I bought a fancy dress at Marshall Field's that I've been lusting over for a long time. It was finally on clearance. Sure, the only place I can wear it is on the ship but it was half off regular price. I mean how nutty can it be to buy a dress now that you can't wear for 13 months? It was half off!

OMG I did the same thing last week. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I got mine on clearance AND an extra 20%. I hope I fit into it in 13 months :teeth:

Is it black and off the shoulder? I was drooling over it since it first arrived.

Sorry - I'm on the cruise after you guys so I popped over here to see what y'all were planning for the crossing so we didn't copy it on the inagural med cruise.

You are going to have so much fun. Some day I'll be able to cruise for 25 days but for now I have to be happy with the 11 day.

I am fairly new at posting to the boards, but I have been lurking for a few years. My GF and I just booked the May repro cruise and I thought it would be cool to meet a few folks before the cruise.
