I found a website that has a throwing up smilie but I don't know how to get it in my post.

here's the website if anyone can figure it out...

Gosh, I hate to admit that the cruise we are taking after the Trans Atlantic is on the Carnival Freedom! don't worry about us, we'll tough it out! Just found out tonight from my friend Faith that both the Disney Magic and the Carnival Freedom will be in Monte Carlo on the same day!

Hey we are the the 1,1,1 mark!!!

1 month, 1 week & 1 day until we are all on our cruise!!!

Chris--We plan on being at the port early and I will try for brunch ressies. I'm not overly worried about it aurely there will be some left--it is a long cruise. Then again, I keep feelign DCL has something against me :confused3 David has never been fond of brunches so we have always stuck to dinner and tea (love their scones) but I have decided I am dragging him along anyway. Maybe I'll just leave him behind and tag along with you;)

Fish Extenders--Can someone measure theirs and tell me how wide it is??? I am trying to guess at the size of the fish, but I never really paid that much attention. Thanks

Sounds good to us! Like Laura said, it's every bit as good as the dinner, and DO not eat anything beforehand.

As for Fish Extenders--we tried the dollar store today to no avail. Maybe we didn't know what to look for exactly. We didn't think asking the clerks for "fish extenders" would lead us in the right direction either. Anyone have specific advice on where to get one? I thought someone somewhere back posted a link? Or maybe I'm crazy. :headache: Ahhh--still so much to do. Started the door sign last night though! :cheer2:

We have a friend who loves to take Carnival in the Med and says it is 180 degrees different from Carnival in the states. MaryAnn won't sail Carnival here, but loves them for the Med. She is going back for her 3rd cruise with them this summer!! So I hope you have as good a time as she has had!!

Look for or ask for:

Hanging Organizer or Hanging Wall Organizer and tell them you want the kind in fabric. Some people get hanging shoe organizers too.

Hope that helps!!

I can make you a fish extender, if you need one. I am going to Joanne Fabric tomorrow to look for Mickey mouse or some kind of Disney fabric. A friend of mine wants a Barbie ticssue box cover.

I heard the Freedom is very nice. It's the older ships (Sensation/Fantasy) that make me vomit:lmao:

Roserae, you are right across the hall from us. We have a 5 year old boy (and with 6 older sisters, girls are not a problem for him!) We'll try to keep our partying down--LOL--no difficult considering the two little ones with us!

I think you are very brave to go on a two week cruise for your first cruise! I'm sure you will have fun, though, as it is Disney!

Yes, my dh noticed you guys were right across the hall and had a son the same age as Emily. Cool! We will be trying for a cheap upgrade at the port, but if we don't get it, we are thrilled with the one we have!

Why brave? Something I should be concerned about? I can't imagine not loving anything that Disney does.

Barcelona, I volunteered to organize this one, but have been a little busy with taxes this week... so I promise I will get on it.

Fish extenders, I'm stopping into the dollar store tomorrow and will look for them. Maybe in the non cruise world they are door hangers - weirdos!

Will let you know tomorrow.

Oy....fish extenders....I saw some fun nemo fabric today....and i've seen some nice tink fabric...maybe I"ll get around to making one for our cabin but at this point we don't even have any door decorations. I've no time for such crafty projects. I finished making Jason's Pirate costume this afternoon before coaching. And I just made jason's tropical mickey shirt earlier tonight and still have to make my own. I'm so strapped for time that we decided not to bother with making button holes and sewing on buttons and the bother of trying to get it to line up correctly. We are just going to wear the shirts buttonless and open wiht a coordinating color t-shirt underneath. For those of us who might be able to make our own fish extenders before we go....what are the dimensions of the pockets in Deb's? And are they the perfect size or would they be better a little bigger or a little smaller??

:tigger:

OK, mine is a five pocket one. It is 27 inches from top of dowel pocket to bottom of lowest pocket. The pockets are 8" by 5 1/2 ". The pockets have a 1" pleat on each side to make room for goodies. there is an 3/8" dowel in the small pocket at the top which is 8" long. There's a small hole in each end of the dowel with a cord running through it to hang the fish extender up by the fish. The pockets are very siimplly made, using bindinng tape instead of hems all around. The fabric is stiffened with some kind of an iron-on thin batting, but I think heavy iron on interfacing would do the trick.

Kissimmee,

Any news from your TA? :yay:

Yes Mame, He called around 5 pm and said I was all set $200 refund on the 4 person and $175 on the single. Nothing changes. Same cabins and all reservations intact.

If you haven't already, I think you are safe to go for it. Just tell your TA that he/she must verify that all things are to remain the same...

The only caution he had was that Disney said they were very backed up issuing the refunds and to not expect it to show up for 5 or 6 weeks.

I was out all day did any of the other categories get a reduction too?

If not it must seem unfair to them.
