PJ...can you send me a link to this page or tell me how to get there? I went to the ship of thieves website and all I got was the discussion board and the meets section was empty. I'm lost. I want to see all the pics. Please help. Thanks.

Wow, Christmas at WDW and NY on a cruise - wonderful. Have a great time and a big Happy Christmas. See you here in 2008!!

Thanks Marilyn for your warm thoughts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and John!!

:thumbsup2

I got an email back from DU. They said they put in my request for Deck 5 Aft with DCL. I thought if I have to wait so long to get assigned, I might as well get my preference.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!! Take lots of pictures and have a wonderful Bday     bon voyage:dance3:

Off to Molly's class, her teacher called me to join them in "Extreme Makeover
Ginderbread Edition" Glad to go in her class, just wish it wasn't when I was so under water at work...yes still bad here on that front. V, wanna come and reconcile a few accounts for me :lmao: capitalize legal perhaps :rotfl2:

ok, that's sad accountant humor...gotta run.

Nan, we are going to have a blast!! You, Paul, Molly and Wilson have an absolutely fabulous Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

I hope to have a peaceful and safe trip Monica and see you Friday at Friday's!!!

Take pics and post please....we all want to share.

Are you so excited Noel....just one more wake up. Is Samantha going too?

It's past midnight and officially your birthday....Happy, Happy One to you! It'll be awesome!

Cheers and Belinis!!!

You know, I did have a thought today that Tyler is going to grow up just like everybody else does, and will be fine. His mom will have WAY too many grey hairs WAY too early, but he'll be just fine. :rotfl2: But seriously, once he starts seeing the psychologist, I'm fully confident that things will stabilize as we all learn different ways to cope and ways to help him through his rough days.

Regarding Blake, it just dawned on me that he's probably going to be out Christmas shopping after work all this week, and I think he didn't realize that in his eagerness to go out. I do remember him saying he still hasn't done his shopping yet, plus I need to get the whole house cleaned, de-cluttered, and organized before Santa drops his load of gifts on us (Santa's coming a day early because Tyler will be at his dad's on Christmas), so I'm running out of time too. I think it will just be better to wait to see him until after Christmas, especially since with almost a 3 hour roundtrip drive, it would require lots of time, which nobody has the week before Christmas. :thumbsup2

Have a great time on your trip and a very Happy Birthday! :yay:

Holly, thanks for the trip and birthday wishes.

I think you have a very confident and sensible attitude about Tyler and Blake. Things like you say have a way of working themselves out if you just give them enough time.

Tonight we went and said goodbye to Sandi, Joe and the boys. We did Christmas with the boys and birthday with Joe, his is in Jan, but I already had the gift....so I saved the postage. We basically listened to their plans, ate pizza, said goodbye and left. That was it. I think it's a good thing that they are leaving now. I don't want to be that close to Joe anymore. I've had enough of him. I'm glad we settled our differences, but I lost a lot of respect for both of them in the process. Better to put some distance between us....phone calls and emails will work just fine.

Were those CHOCOLATE HORSES on that carousel?! And if so, WHO GETS TO EAT THEM?! :scared1: That's a TON of chocolate and I would sure enjoy that chocolate eating frenzy! :rotfl2: I'm learning that the PMS cravings in the months where the actual "M" of PMS is skipped (you ladies catch my drift) are worse and longer lasting than normal! :rotfl:

Deb, that's a great way of handling your feelings about the situation. I'm sure it's very hard for you and John.

It's absolutely insane for me to still be up, but I couldn't sleep. Can't shut my brain off. Gonna go read in bed now to help me fall asleep. I love how a good book can take my mind away from reality. :cloud9:

Tomorrow I get my new Ibizza....I can't wait to play with it and put all my music on it.

All the Christmas gifts have now arrived. There's going to be a lot of wrapping getting done this weekend. Then we can put them under the tree. That's the part I love the best.....oh, and then there's opening them.....I love that too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOEL :dance3: Hope you have a wonderful birthday, vacation and Christmas:goodvibes

Kathe

Kathe:

My DD14 has a concert tonight, so I went to the hospital this afternoon. Frank was sitting in a chair. He really seemed awake for the first time. He did not remember our conversation yesterday.

OT, PT and ST all came in and worked with him while I was there. No food yet, maybe tomorrow. Looks like about 2 more weeks in the hospital and then a rehab center. I think the worst of this is behind us now.

When I told him I had to go feed the kids, he started to cry and begged me not to leave him. It just broke my heart. The 24/7 nurse pulled me aside and said not to pay attention ....I had been there more than most family members are and I should not feel guilty at all. I took her advice. I will burn out, if I haven't already......

Things are looking much better for Frank. Now, you must take care of yourself.

Look kind of like popovers - big sort of airy pastry/roll.

They are softer than pastry. Sometimes they have a crispy outside though.

Not so. I've been the world's worst mom these past couple days because I just lost control and have been angry and yelling and just not nice to him. I know those are the worst things in the world to do, so that makes me feel awful, but I just ran out of patience. It just got him more upset and I lost count of how many times each day he screamed, "I hate you!" or "I wish I could go live with my dad forever!" or "I wish I never had to see you ever again!" I ignored each such comment of course.

You are not the world's worst mom! You're the best! When I look back to how I was when mine were little I cringe!

One of our grandson's(age 9) has mild Aspergers and some of the behaviour is very similar to Tyler's. He can't cope with change, change to routine that has been planned etc. It has taken a long long time for his dad to accept it isn't all bad behaviour, his mum had accepted he was different and worked with him well, but it was getting worse. We had noticed many years ago some more odd behaviour such as he had to go on a certain route to school and touch certain things or he threw a paddy or wouldn't move! A couple of months ago they received a letter from school saying he had been naughty in a maths class. Apparently he just wouldn't do the work and wouldn't say why. The teacher got cross. Joel just said he didn't know what to say to her as he didn't understand and wasn't being naughty. Last year's teacher understood him more, but this one was a new. The other week his mum tidied up his bedroom and he came home and tipped everything out and made it a mess again! They have had a few meetings at school and hopefully they have a few things in place to help him and the teachers. He isn't bad enough at all to receive extra help, which is good and bad. They are beginning to worry about the change of school in 2 years though.

We just watched that movie Monday on our snow day! Well.....actually, Tyler watched it while I pretended to watch it and took a nap. ;)

Aaaaaaah, naps.:)

I got an email back from DU. They said they put in my request for Deck 5 Aft with DCL. I thought if I have to wait so long to get assigned, I might as well get my preference.

I put in a request some time ago for a plexiglass verandah and not the solid ones. I had no idea which deck to ask for at that time. We did like deck 7 though, but I don't think there are any Cat 6 on that deck. Liked aft too as straight up to the buffet and drinks station. Thought if I requested aft we might get the solid verandahs.

I'm so happy....I just weighed myself and I lost the 5lbs that I gained over Birthday and Turkey day plus another 2lbs for a total of 7lbs in the last two weeks. Slow but steady we're making progress. YEAH!!!

WOW, Deb!! So Cool!! I am so happy for you!

Still behind...:sad2:

I am seeing more and more "white" hairs coming in. One of the only good things about being a natural blond... No one can really see them but me, but I still know that they are there!!:confused3

Karen

Amy,

Still very far behind...

When is your Birthday?

I know that Noel's is the 20th. Mine is the 22nd. Are you a December Birthday girl too?

Karen--

My birthday is December 11th.

Happy Belated December Birthday!!!:dance3:

If I were closer, I would give you a present wrapped in Birthday Wrap that is not a combo "Birthday and Christmas" present!!

Cheers!

Karen

A quick driveby as I am frantically getting all the last minute things done before I leave on Thursday. Karen, both my grandfather and my nephew Erik are on December 22.

Thank you to everyone for birthday wishes and bon voyage thoughts.

Lisa, sorry to hear that Frank is back in the coma. Hope that things will turn around soon for him and he will be back on the road to recovery. Tell Vanessa congrats on straight A's.

Holly, sorry that you had a bad day with Tyler but it sounds like he was geared up for school and didn't adapt to the change in schedule. As for Blake, I am sure things are going to work out. Sometimes if someones answering machine is off, it will just ring and ring. Just hang in there!!

Marilyn, CES is the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas. The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a trade show held each January in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association. At the show, many previews of products are introduced, or new products are announced.

The show is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center with additional venues used for specific specialties. The CES is now considered one of the major technology-related trade shows, following the cancellation of Comdex.

See the link: http://www.cesweb.org/

One of the things I want to see is the new Sanyo Underwater Digital Camcorder.

If I have missed anything else important it is because I am skimming the posts.

Noel

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOEL!!!:dance3:

I'm sending you Birthday thoughts wrapped in Birthday wrap and not combined with a Christmas present!!:thumbsup2

Have a great trip!!

Cheers!

Karen
