Lisa

pictures please :goodvibes

ok, how did I double post with Holly in the middle, that's just weird.....

Our first cheers tonight at Grills was the fact that I was dressed and out without a bandage wrap on either of my legs for the first time since early summer. WOW! The last of it came off today and underneath is all new skin and no yuckie stuff. The surface is clean and dry and healed. This is such great timing coz now I can use the pool and the hot tub....no open wounds. I'm ecstatic!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Oh, YEAH! I'm so happy to hear that you'll be able to fully enjoy your cruise!

V, this is the 'most telling' picture I've ever seen of Disney food, you should post it on the 'food porn' thread!

Went to an early movie ($5 before noon) and saw "Dave in Real Life" VERY GOOD and funny! I had to talk my brother in law into it and he agreed it was a good choice.

Lisa, I haven't seen the news in two days...how are the fires? Are they out yet? Is life normal yet? How are you and Darrell?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Hi Deb-I know you were asking the other Lisa, but I thought I'd offer an update...the fires are not out yet, they don't expect containment for a few more days. One report I heard said full containment would be around 11/4 or so. Not sure if that's still accurate. Blessings did come our way today though....it wasn't forcasted but it RAINED today.:cool1: It wasn't a lot of rain but it was something to help out. There are still many displaced people in CA and at last report I heard about 1,500 homes have been lost. :sad1:

That's the update!

Have fun on the Wonder!!!!

Sandi and I are back from our mani/pedis and John went back to sleep....he's not feeling good....he has a tummy bug that just won't quit....he took some meds and went back to bed. I sure hope he's feeling better by tomorrow.

Thanks to all of you well wishers. Yes, I do plan on having a great time, although I can't speak for poor DH. It's no fun being sick on vacation.

Holly, I got your PM and I'm hoping that you can work it out with Tyler's dad and take him with you on this cruise. We would all love to meet him too. Sending you good luck and pixie dust that it all works out!!!

:tinker: :tinker: :tinker:

Deb and John,

I hope that John feels better soon! DD had that horrible stomach flu last December during our trip to WDW and then DH got it a couple of days after Christmas!

Have a great trip!

Karen

Been trying to catch up on posts while I help Holly plot to bring Tyler.

Hubby says there is NO WAY we are cancelling this cruise so Im really happy about that. Bethany is doing much better in school and with therapy so I think it will be fine to take her out. I cannot wait to meet everyone especially Jan :flower3: who has helped me so much with beth in the past few months getting her diagnosed. She explained to me about dysgraphia and motor skill problems and bethany is now in occupational therapy and progressing well. We her parents and her teachers all just chalked it up to laziness, even though she was a 2 lb preemie who has been healthy and we never thought this could be a problem. The school has been working with us and adapting , which is good for a private school as they really dont have to.

The funny thing is she is a chatterbox like Holly and will be talking and say "this nice lady on the computer figured out what was wrong with me"! LOL Well that really starts a conversation and then I have to explain but tell everyone its unbelieveable the truly nice and caring people you meet on here.

Great news and yes, great people on this thread!

Glad that you are still going on the trip!

Karen

John1 too, though I can't remember if he is at DL or WDW.:confused3 What a lucky guy!!!:lmao:

Almost bed time here. We are going out for a late lunch tomorrow to a Carvery. Do you know what that is?

They have fresh roast meats and chefs carve from the joints for you there and then, and then you fill your plate with Yorkshire puddings and all types of vegetables. Yummy, my favourite meal I think.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and the veggies were carrots, mashed carrots and swede, red cabbage(gorgeous, slow cooked with apple and onion) white cabbage, cauliflower cheese, creamed leeks, green beans, courgettes in tomato sauce, parsnips, roast and new potatoes. Meats that day were beef, pork and lamb. Usually they have a whole turkey, so I did miss that.

Oh, and the desserts were to die for.

Marilyn,

This sounds like our Hof Brau's. What is a Courgette?

It all sounds delicious!!

Wonderful photos V and Deb. Lovely to share your vacations.

Deb, today is the day - great news about the legs and that John is feelin g better. Enjoy everything now.

OH, GOOD LORD, am I in trouble now! :rotfl2: After I left Tyler's dad's house, on our way home, he was asking me stuff about going to Disney World, down to visit Heather, Tom, and Bethany, etc. So I HAD to tell him about the cruise because I had to break the news to him that we're not going to Florida in November. Needless to say, after I told him about the 15 day cruise, plus about his "Florida girlfriend" Bethany going too, he told me he'd rather do that than the Florida trip anyway.

So now Tyler's packing. :scared1: :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: What fun now with Tyler being so excited. Glad we are going to get to meet him.

I think a courgette is a zucchini.

Our clocks went back an hour last night so we aren't as far in front of you at the moment.

Ours don't go back until next week...

Isn't it funny how you and I were up late/early talking last spring during the last time change?

Time flies, doesn't it!!

Have a great day Marilyn!

I'm off to bed!

Karen

Sorry I missed you Karen. Can't wait till the cruise and face to face chat!!!

:rotfl2: I've been patiently waiting for you to figure it out! :lmao: Yes, indeed! Cindy cancelled and I decided I just couldn't cancel, so he's slipping into her spot. I was hesitant at first because now my costs have doubled, but I'll make it work! :goodvibes
Yeah!!

Fires are closer to being contained. I think most are in the 30 - 40% contained range.

We've gone back to work and everyone we know who was evacuated is back in their houses.

Air quality is still really poor though and will probably be for at least another 10-14 days (according to the news).

Thanks for asking! Have a great cruise!! Take lots of pics!!
I am glad to hear you are all safe.

Oh, YEAH! I'm so happy to hear that you'll be able to fully enjoy your cruise!

Yes, John would have probably licked the plate if I would have let him.

Samantha just had to climb up here. She was dying to get her picture everytime we passed Ariel!

We went to the Magic Kingdom on Thursday and it was pretty crowded. We didn't wait for Pirates, Haunted Mansion, the "horsies", they were all walk on.

I made the mistake of telling Samantha about the horse with the golden bow...well, the CM took the first child in line directly to that horse so there was no chance for anyone else to get it. She was upset about it.

I do haev to say this trip Samantha was really not herself. I am not sure if it was all the sweets and sugar or what, but she could barely keep still, especially around others....it seemed she needed to show off or something.

We got to Barnstormer anxious to see if Haley was tall enough. The CM said nope and she was about to sit on the ground and cry when John said can we see again? Her head was fluch with the wooden bar....yeah! Haley's first Roller Coaster!
IMG_6334.jpg

They gave her a special card at the end that said first time roller coaster rider. It was pretty neat...we did wait 20-30 minutes for that ride which is a first, but we had too!!

I think since last year when they started the parties beginning at the same time as the park closing they don't take down any of the decorations. MK was really decked out.

IMG_6344.jpg

I didn't get to pictures at 50;s primetime until dessert! We had very nice neighbors who were from California and they were telling us all about DL!

Haley had to give a Seminole a Gator Chomp!
