Oh, I'm very familiar with Match.com! :thumbsup2

ya, I think I remember you saying something about match a while ago....:rolleyes1

It is really a funny story on how Gary started the company/concept. He wanted a date (still does) and wasn't having much luck. Since he was such a techno geek it made total sense that he'd create a way to find himself a date and make a business too. In the early days a few of our close friends used it and it worked! I think we all thought it would be a good thing, but it's funny seeing it on tv and with Dr. Phil now, what a morph it's gone thru.

Dinner arrived I'm going to eat!popcorn::

Well, the only experience I ever had meeting somebody online was Tyler's dad and I'm thinking Match.com was who I met him through. :thumbsup2

then I'd call that sucess, ya got yourself your little gift from God...Tyler. Even if you and his dad aren't together you still ended up with a good deal.

Good luck with the appointments next week. I've been reading the story. I can't offer any constuctive advise as I'm so hard headed that if my children's father and I didn't agree on something like this I'd smack him. Not productive to offer you that suggestion so I've kept my mouth shut, okay not so much now, but you can see with my comment that I have no patience for attitudes such as his as you've discribed when it comes to finding resources and help for ones child. So good luck I'm praying for answers to come for you and Tyler on this soon. I know it's hard when a mom is hurting over her child regardless of what the issue is.

Dinner wasn't that good. We have decided to hold up on this resturant for a while.

now I want some desert...hmmmm...what to have....what to have....

That's exactly how I've always felt! :goodvibes

Thank you! It bothers me that I know his dad won't come to Tyler's pediatrician appointment tomorrow morning because he's not open to considering every possibility, only his own opinion. And I'm bothered that he doesn't want me coming to the counselling appointment Tuesday. I just trust that whoever he sees that day will tell him that he needs to speak with both parents. DUH! I could be wrong though, so I'll just have to go with the flow. The problem is that he's just going to be telling the guy about whatever behavior he sees when he's with Tyler, which is only a couple hours a couple days a week and 1/2 a day on Saturdays. I asked him if he could please show the counsellor everything the teachers wrote up about Tyler and he feels that's not necessary because they're nothing more than normal kid behavior for that age. So I'm quite worried about the effects of this counselling since he's not going to bring everything to the table. My only hope is that the counsellor will be able to sort things out a bit when he talks with Tyler. :sad2: What a mess.

But fortunately, after church today, I was able to just let go for a while. I just sort of left all my worries behind for the day. I had no thoughts of Tyler's issues, other than a fleeting thought that would creep up now and then, until a little while ago.

Can someone supply me with the person's name who is coordinating shuttle transfer from MCO to the port? A long time ago I put our name on the list to share a shuttle. I wanted to try and finalize some of our plans and thought I would start there first.

Thanks!!!!

ANYONE???????

OK....I'm jumping on the bandwagon!

1. Are you married or single? Single
2. Do you have brothers and sisters? 1 stepbrother, 2 stepsisters, but my dad actually adopted them since their dad abandoned them, so I suppose they're technically half sister and half brothers, just not by blood.
3. Are they older or younger than you? They're all older.
4. Have you ever met a famous person? Alan Jackson -- VERY shy guy!
5. What countries have you visited? Canada, Mexico, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Spain.
6. What do you do on Sundays? Go to church, relax, laundry, clean, or go somewhere fun with Tyler.
7. What kind of people do you not like? People who brag about money, how much they have, and how much they paid for everything they have.
8. Who has had the most influence in your life? My best friend Shelly.
9. Would you like to be famous? No way! I like my alone time too much.
10. How many different towns or cities have you lived in? 4
11. Which do you prefer, sunrises or sunsets? Sunsets
12. What was the last book you read? Blaze by Stephen King writing as Richard Bachman.
13. What's your favorite food? Mexican!
14. Do you live in a house or an apartment/flat or other? House
15. How tall are you? 5' 4"
16. What are your hobbies? No time for hobbies.
17. What's something you do well? Multitask and work under pressure.
18. Which sports do you like to watch/play? Hockey
19. Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person? Night
20. What is your motto? Let go and let God.

I am usually a night person but I could not stay up past eleven yesterday.:confused3 When I got up for a drink of water at about 1:40 I thought that DH had fallen asleep with the TV on then I heard baseball and DH yelling "they won".   I am so glad they won. DH and DS have tickets for tomorrow's game. Hope DH is feeling better by then as he is sick now.

I will be there tomorrow night too!

Go tribe!

The game was great....! We had a blast. The seats were awesome! Soooo awesome! We were in the South End Zone, Party central...and funny - the people around couldn't believe the girls. I told them this wasn't their first rodeo.

I kept thinking of you guys when I saw that score - low scoring game . . . NOT like the game on Lake Erie! Scoring all game long, but the Brownies came through too! I went to the game by myself because I could not find anyone else to go, and Alex was in Columbus for the OSU game yesterday and could not go.

I was afraid to sell my extra ticket though - my luck it would be some 400lb guy, or a Dophin's fan, or someone who would throw up on me. Have to tell you though V, Sophia is NOT ready for the NFL. Indians game - yes, whole different atmosphere. NFL - not yet.

It is a great time to be a sports fan in NE Ohio . . .

- Buckeyes come out ranked #1

- Indians tie up the ALCS

- Browns are 3-3 (which no one believed would happen)

- Defending Eastern Conference Cavaliers will soon be starting

Could it get any better?????

Jaide does that one as well. Her best friend from toddler years moved to Aromas, CA and that is how they keep in touch...

Great pics! I love the last one...what disney kid doesn't have one of those pics coming home from the parks?!

If anyone is searching...a local store just started carrying them and when I was in there on Monday night they had well over 100 of them, all different types, including some they are retiring...PM me if you want me to look for something. Jaide has 4 and Taylor has 2...for me that is enough. I am still the one who has the 2 huge storage boxes filled with Beanie Babies:scared1:

I have some friends who are going to donate their BOXES beanies to a local children's hospital or take them to GIVE KIDS THE WORLD when they go to Florida next summer. I remember getting to pick one when I had out-patient surgery even though they were the gifts for kids. That was special.

I wonder if Kaylee is at the Hawk's game?

The hapless Saints are beating up on the Seahawks 28-10. Keep cheering Kaylee, we need to make it a DIS sweep in the NFL today!

I keep flipping between that game and the Rockies game where it looks like a very cold rain is falling in a 1-1 tie.

Well I spoke too soon . . .

Rockies Home run and it is now 4-1 Rockies.

Not looking good for the Dbacks in this series.

The Rockies have been absolutely unbelievable - first to make the playoffs, and now up 2-0 in the NLCS and with a lead now in game 3.

But the Raiders lost and the Giants don't play until tomorrow for my teams and for Karen the Niners didn't play.

Glad this sports season is doing right by you John. GO TRIBE!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

So I decided that I was going to get on the scale this morning and not wait until Nov 1st....coz I'll be off the cruise and at WDW....don't want to weigh in then. This morning I weighed in 9 less lbs. in almost two weeks. Good! diettogo is working well. Of course, I'll be way off diettogo food while on the cruise and vaca......so here's to starting over when I get back home.

Wow....I have lost 25lbs in 6 weeks. That's a diet I can do!

:cutie: :cutie: :cutie:
Way to go!:thumbsup2

Open House today....I've got to get my brother out of the house for two hours. The Auction is next week. Please send lots of positive thoughts and pixie dust that it sells...otherwise we will go into forclosure and not recoup any losses and have to still pay the lawyer, the auctioneer, the advertising, etc. It could be devistating financially. One more week and we'll find out. It's got to sell!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
How did the Open House go?

My daughter had a shock 3rd pregnancy and had twins! :cutie: :cutie:
I think that would be me!
19. Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person? night by choice, morning by need to pay for vacations
:rotfl:

when I was younger I had a part time Job as an airport security guard, one late night I was working the boarding gate at NW airlines and the costumer service lady escorted Dom Delaweis (not sure of the spelling) and Gene Wilder up to the gate. Gene was in a wheel chair so of course I had to use the hand scanner for the check. right after I passed them through and stepped back, Dom grabs Gene by the arm drags him out of the chair and jumps in himself. "my turn" is all he said and Gene starts pushing him down to the boarding gate. The costumer service lady and I just stood there and watched. :dance3: :dance3:

Having pizza and syrup sponge and custard for tea.
I love hearing all the different names for food -thanks for posting those links!

In defense of the well endowed girl, many dresses for young teens fit the "well endowed" girls differently. Being a well endowed teenager myself and having the same "problems" with my daughters, I can sympathize with the mother. A dress that is just as revealing doesn't look as revealing on someone who is not as endowed.

Just my thoughts....
This is an issue we have come across at work. We have some employees who wear clothes that are more revealing but it is just because they have more to reveal! It's hard to tell someone their V-neck shirt is too low when the person next to them can wear it with no issue.
I know Kaylee (fourmcds) is coordinating the Hummerzine group. I don't remember if someone else is working on group busses.

.
I had posted some information on a group bus, but never organized it. We are still up in the air as to where we will stay so don't want to take the lead with that one.

So family movie night right now. It is fun to have all the boys together. I can just imagine what movie they will pick when they get older being all boys. No doubt action/adventure!

I took DS 7 yr old today to the music store, Starving Musician, to rent a violin. So as we are driving home, he asks if you have to have holes in your ears and rings in your nose to work at a music store. I say no, but sometimes musicians do have those things. He then proceeded to tell me he really didn't want a ring in his nose. I think he thought he would have to if he was going to be a musician. I told him he didn't need to and he was quite happy. And so was I!

Not looking forward to another week of work. It has been very busy lately and a bit stressful. I think we need a vacation!

Tell me to shut up or just ignore my comments if you want....

okay, have you thought of reaching to the counselor on your own to give him/her the other side of the issues with Tyler?

I would hope that this counselor would of course ask to see both parents, as you said DUH!!! but counselors are people and they can be motivated for reasons that we don't know or understand, so I'm a worrier...and nosy and bossy and must be in control.

Sorry, I know this may not help, but just my mom gut tells me to stick my nose in (or it would if this was my issue)

okay, back to baseball or football or whatever it is that John and V talk about that goes right over my head.

I was at the Sharks game last night and the whole place loss power. It was pitch dark. http://www.mercurynews.com/sharksheadlines/ci_7175729?nclick_check=1
What was interesting is that it didn't appear as if any employee had emergency prepardness training. I asked several of them (being in healthcare I'm always a bit curious how other industries perpare for emergencies) and all of them said they have never had any training for any type of emergency. That just seems odd - they must have some training, but whatever the training is most be completely ineffective. I'm tempted to write a letter but not sure who I'd write it to. Seems to me that all the employees should have a good understanding as to what there job would be in an emergency given the amount of people the arena can hold.
