Just before we got back home I got the call from my brother. His wife passed away shortly after 3 today. She was in the hospital for 4 months, they were not hopeful for the past week and Sat. night told him they did not think she would survive the night. This is so sad for him, they were completely devoted.:sad1: Services will be sometime later this week.

Angie, :grouphug: for you and your family, and especially your brother.

Angie and Dennis.....so saddened to hear the news that your brother lost his wife. You're all going to have to stick together and support and love each other to help him get through this rough time in his life. I'll be sending you prayers and pixie dust to help soften the hard times ahead.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Off to the airport to fly home after the wedding. Talk to you all later today/tonight depending on time zones.

Ciao for now.

Noel

Cheri(Not so little mermaid) MIA too.

She is working on her reunion, wonder when it will be over?

Just popping in to say Hi. I try to keep up but haven't been very successful lately. Have dealt with a leg infection that required IV antibiotics (not fun and not something I want to repeat!), bronchitis that still won't go away, Mom's surgery, Dad's visit and tests for Jim -- it might be his gallbladder. Hoping to be healthy by cruise time. :goodvibes

Fiona

Sorry to hear of your illnesses. Hope things tunr around for you guys soon.

I've had a late morning, MIGRAINE!!! Holly did you send it to me?:sad2:

Just kidding, the weather change hits me too. Usually it's the warmer the weather I have to watch out, but big changes, like Karen has mentioned in the last few days here can do it too. I guess I could premedicate for these, but that would be smart huh? The ah just came on for why I couldn't sleep last night....

V sorry you and Sam are sick. Do you call her Sam? If not sorry....:guilty: I have a sister named Sandra her nickname is Sam. I like that nickname.

Thanks for the well wishes. It's just been one thing after another here which is unusual but hopefully it's all coming at once and then it will all be over quickly!

Fiona

Fiona - :grouphug: s to you and your family. Prayers being said for everyone. Hope you get better soon.

Monica, thanks for the info on Fultons....I've been there before and it's very formal....I wanted something more casual since we're only doing cocktails together. Mandy is doing dinner with her entire family of 11 that she is traveling with....it will be their last night.

I called Planet Hollywood and they serve cocktails at happy hour and they have a champagne list too. So I thought that would work for us. We can sit in the lounge at the bar or at a table in the restaurant. It's also convenient to DTD.

Thanks for helping us decide. We'll still see you at 7:30pm at Pleasure Island right! Or do you want to make it earlier. Don't want to rush you after work. You can pick a good time that works for you. We'll probably stay at Planet Hollywood and do dinner after Mandy leaves, so we'll already be next to Pleasure Island and can meet whenever it's convenient for you. Do you know what time Pleasure Island opens up for the night.....I don't know. I didn't even think about it. Maybe we'll have to wait until 7:30pm or even 8pm. If that's the case, you can always meet us at Planet Hollywood first for a drink and then we can go to Pleasure Island when they open. Let us know what time is good for you then we can work it out from there.

:hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

PJ- I love the magnet!

Gydell- I had no idea about the time change in Acapulco. VERY interesting! I’m sorry about your DH”s flight though- I hate when they move things around like that!

Holly- I love all the pics. WooHoo on booking your cruise!!

Angie- Glad your camping weekend was fun! I’m so sorry about your SIL. My condolences to your brother and his family.

Deb- Sorry about your grandson being in boot camp- that sounds miserable to me! I love the door magnets- they came out really cute!

John- I hate the Yankees too!

V- I hope you’re not getting too sick! I’ve been sneezing and coughing all day, and I’m miserable about it.

Kathe- Are you meeting up with us in Epcot on Oct 26?

Kim- OMG snow?? I had the air conditioner on again last night! I’m just hoping for more moderate temperatures this week.

Kaylee- I’ve been to WDW in October and November, and they’re both great times to go. I think the first couple of weeks in November are a LITTLE less crowded than the end of October, but the weather is usually a LITTLE warmer in Oct. I don’t think you can go wrong with either decision though!

Marilyn- Oh if DCL goes to Alaska in 2009, I’ll HAVE to do that. DH and I have been talking about cruising Alaska for years! The bad part is that I’m not sure I’ll have enough money for a deposit this winter since I have to pay the balance of this PC cruise!

Fiona- So sorry about all the illness in your family!

DBro’s wedding was nice, and now he’s a newlywed. He and his new wife are down in WDW now, honeymooning at the WL before getting onto the Disney Magic on Saturday. I’m jealous, but not TOO bad, since I’ll be down there within two weeks now!!
BUSY BUSY work week around here, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be around.

I’m taking my sisters to the “So You Think You Can Dance” concert tonight. They’re so excited!

John- I hate the Yankees too!

Are you a Mets fan?

I was honestly worried I might get you mad since you are from the area, but I just can't STAND the Yankees! Not their fans (well at least not all of them!) but the team!

It's our 40th wedding anniversary that year so I would love to do something special. We'll just have to see if it is true.

So who will be doing the Alaska cruise?

If I can find ANY way to swing it- ME!!

We're BIG Mets fans (and hate the Yankees). Of course after their September performance, "Mets" is a dirty word in NY.

Well, all my plans just got changed! :cool1: I think we will head down to WDW in October (maybe just Scott and I) for a week at most to hit Food and Wine and still have it nice and warm!!!! Then, we will head again in May 2009 for 2 weeks when we take my niece there for her first visit (and my sister and BIL's first visit too). They are visiting (got here today) and told me that she wanted Emma to have her first trip to WDW when she was 3. We will need to book a grand villa so we need to make the trip shorter in October and stay in smaller units then. I am sooooo excited to be the one to take her on her first trip. So, now, after the let down from the cruise, I'll still have a few trips to think about.

Alaska cruises...I would certainly go if it left out of Seattle, but would have to think about it more if it left out of LA (which is more likely)

Kaylee - let us know if/when you decide to confirm for October....I think I have the dates when most people will be here so we can all coordinate. If not with others....just you & me  (we'll add more pics to our never ending pile of pics to scrap :rotfl: )
