Angie:

Sorry to hear of your families health concerns. I'll have you in my thoughts and prayers for comfort.

Thanks Noel, I'd be happy to hear from a local on their thoughts on this issue. Truely bats in the bellfry.

Lisa, you have the right to opt out of the test as a parent. I understand that the principal may not want this as I'm sure your kids are top scoring kids. As I suspect that most of the kids in Woodside are. I'm pulling my kids out knowing it will hurt the school they are in as we are the minority that score on the top end, but frankly this time with our family is my priority right now. Might sound a bit selfish towards our school community, but I'm more thinking of what is right in the big picture of my family these days.

The Kingdom was very thought provoking. I just don't get the terror concept. It solves nothing.

Nite all

The service at LACC that was recommended to me by Rick was Gary's Bat Removal at 530-258-2811.

I think you are absolutely right to think of your family first at this critical juncture. School is important but family always must come first.

Noel

I am praying for a miracle. God's will often allow for that. It really sounds like this is a case for his intervension.

Thank you for the anniversary wish...can't believe I have been married to this guy for 20 years......:goodvibes :goodvibes

Where were you going in DL.....from CA...?? I can't believe you would fly across the USA for a weekend?? If you look at the CAM you can see the beach replenshment going on. All the earth movers......pretty cool. I can't wait to go see it!!

Happy Anniversay Lisa!!

Karen in northern California is only an hour flight away from DL!! I think you are thinking of WDW!!

We do believe in miracles and I said just that to my brother last night. His wife did survive the night, her respiration rate is up from 11 to 15 per minute and with a c-pap on her oxygen level is up. Kidneys still not functioning and irregular heart rate. But she is alert and talking with him. That is a good thing.

It sounds like a little better news and I am glad to hear that she is at least alert and awake. We will keep praying for them.

We walked around a little bit---stopped by the Ireland booth (had to have the frozen Baileys Irish Cream :rotfl: VERY YUMMY!!), and the Argentina booth (wanted some Norton's Malbec). I didn't end up eating anything, but enjoyed those 2 drinks.

WHAT??? Why have I never heard about these?? Definately putting this on my list for Dec!:thumbsup2

I had a fun, WET time at Epcot last night....I met my friends near Germany a little bit before 8pm - we walked around....after I bought myself some Mickey Crocs (I've been procrastinating on buying these). My shoes were soaked just walking from Germany to the African Outpost so I bought my Crocs and wore them out of the store.

We then camped out to watch the show---it was delayed due to the weather, but at least it wasn't canceled. I love Illuminations! I love the music. The add on was good too....will try to see if I got any decent pictures tonight when I get home. Got home about 1030pm. A great way to celebrate Epcot's 25th!

Sounds like you guys had a blast!! Hope to some pics soon!!

Thank you for the anniversary wish.

No, I was not thinking of WDW. DL is DELAWARE and I could not imagine someone would fly from CA to DL for the weekend!! (never even thought of Disneyland).......

thanks Noel, I'm thinking this might be the guy that we have a quote from already, (my sister is working on this) but it was so high that we needed to get a 2nd to confirm it was accurate. With your word on him, I'll tend to believe that he will be good to do the work.

Hi Angie - hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these booths are only going to be around until the 11th of November (as part of the Food & Wine Festival). I can offer you though some Malbec or my own version of the Frozen Baileys if you want! :lmao:

Kath- It looks like we're going to WDW the same day! I'll be there the 22nd-27th (doing a mother daughter trip with Olivia). No special events for us, because I'll have the baby with me all the time, but I'm planning to test out a bunch of the F&W booths! Maybe we'll see you guys there!!!
I you want to try to meet up, even for just a few minutes, let me know. You must be getting excited too! Hope you're feeling better soon, but better to get it over with before the trip and not during!

I seriously think I'm getting sick. I feel like my head is underwater (and it's not). Work is driving me crazy! I'm going to bed early tonight and hoping things are better tomorrow.

I don't remember what we had for appetizer or dessert. But we love salmon and rib eye steak and compare them wherever we go and I do remember that Spoodles salmon is right up there with our very favorite ever!

mmm... salmon is one of my favourite foods too. My favourite places for it in the world have been AP and Le Cellier. I think I've read that the greek salad is good at spoodles too, so I might try that. I never have enough room for appetizer and dessert.

We have gotten bad news here this evening. My brother's wife is not expected to survive the night....without a miracle. She fell over 3 months ago, lay with her leg under her for hours with the circulation cut off. My brother got her up when he got home and by morning the leg was not looking good. They got her to the hospital and she was sent by life flight to Seattle. Her leg eventually had to be amputated, and it seemed she was doing ok except for an infected bed sore on her back. My dear sweet brother was able to stay with her for the first 2 weeks then had to go back to work to pay the bills. He was spending his 2 days off driving the 5 hours to spend some time with her. This afternoon he got a call saying her heart was "doing funny stuff" to quote him, her breathing is labored and her kidneys have been shutting down for the last few days. They have moved her to intensive care again and told him needs to get there ASAP. My niece who was just here visiting this weekend is driving him over and their other children are also on their way. I am just so sad for him. They are the only couple we know that are more devoted to each other than we are. He absolutely adores her. He told me early on that without her there is no reason for him to live. Although I know he will keep going on, I also know he will be lost and I don't know how to help him. All prayers for them will be appreciated.

Then I also got a call that my favorite uncle is at the hospital in Spokane with his wife. She too is in intensive care. They are in their 80's and married only 3 years. They are just so cute and in love. It did not sound like she was in imminent danger, but she does have a blood clot in her groin area. That can be very dangerous, but she is getting treatment to dissolve it. I called and talked with my uncle and he sounded so very tired. My cousin said he was at his door at 5 am this morning with the dog for them to watch. He has over a 3 hour drive from his house to my cousin's so I know he was on the road before 2 am. I told him he needs to get over to the hotel and get some rest and then get a fresh start with the docs in the morning. He said he would do that.....I hope he did. Prayer for them too please.

I am so sorry to read this. Sending hugs and prayers

thank to everybody for saying Happy 13th Anniversary

Yesterday was lovely day - Sunny!! My husband gave me a brunch of flowers and lovely card then he ordered take away Chinese mmm it was lovely. I was full last night. My mum and dad in law gave us a lovely card with money!!

I spoke to Rick and the LACC office who both recommend him highly. You might want to call him back and ask for some local references to double check. I suspect there aren't too many people who want to deal with bats. The LACC office number is 1-530-596-3282.

Yes, I wonder how far folks will travel. There will probably be some foreign languages onboard(not CM's) which will be fun spotting.

Well, we already know of 2 different languages which will be spoken onboard - American English and British English! :rotfl:

Or in the case of Scottish Wee, Scottish Gaelic. If we have any Irish friends about, the we have Irish Gaelic . Last but not least, how about the Welsh Celtic language. Did I miss any?

ok, I have to make an emergency stop for wine on the way home, it appears I will be doing wine shots in the kitchen as the Outlawz are coming.

The one thing I truly hate in the world is arriving home to company...I like to at least have a few minutes to get out of my work clothes and to get my mind in the home mode.....they will be there when we get home....
