I was just getting the house under control from being away two weekends in a row, patting myself on the back.
I'm relaxing a little bit after my morning shower, and the power goes off. I jump, get dressed, and run outside. The yard guys are flicking the power on and off trying to get the sprinkler timer working.
I open the controller, take out the 9 volt battery and put it to my tongue, dead. I go in the house, bring out a fresh 9 volt battery, plug it in and the controller is working. I look at the pool, it's green and I check it's controller, it's all wrong and not turning either.
So I open up the electrical panel, and sure enough, the pool circuit was off. So I switch that on, clean out the pool filter, throw in some chroline and go in the house.
The oldest was home from school yesterday with Pink Eye, so I go grab his mattress cover to put it back on his bed and I hear a crinkle and one of the dogs barks. I look out my beautiful custom 9 ft tall french doors and all I see is cracks.
So I go outside to take pictures of it for the insurance company, and the glass starts to fall from the door.

So I call the insurance company back to say "I need someone to come and help me with this 9ft tall piece of fractured glass coming down." They ask, "Are you going to be there today?"
"Yes", I reply as I'm still doing the laundry from yesterday's Pink Eye decontamination.
I need a spa day.
