Any word on when they'll start you on the hydrotherapy yet?

They said they would send me to a local physical therapy place, but that they are not all that gentle and considerate of the pain element. I said no thanks....I'll do it at home. John just rigged up a "hydrobath therapy" at home that I can do in the tub. I haven't tried it yet coz I need him here to unwrap and rewrap when I'm finished. I'll try it over the weekend and let you know how it turns out.

A bit of trivia for you Star Trek Buffs, One of the main writers on the Next Generation, and Star Trek Voyager is Brian Braga, and Jeri Ryan was (may still be for all I know) his girlfriend. Well, he graduated from the same HS as me, Canton McKinley, in Canton, OH. He graduated in my brother's class, five years after me.

As for Jeri Ryan, at age 39, she is expecting her second child, due February 2008. This is her first child with second husband Christophe Émé.

So the news of the day is that DD and DSIL and both DGKs will be moving to FL around the first of the New Year. I'm so sad about this. I love having them live down the block and rely on them quite a bit. DSILs grandparents are both elderly and sick. There is really no one else in the family able to help them. So Sandi and Joe are thinking of moving there and living with Joe's grandparents in their house to help them out. I'm soooooooo going to miss them. We'll see them everytime we go to FL which is at least 2 to 3 times a year....but it's not the same. I'm so sad.

Do any sci fi lovers watch 4400? It's on USA on Sun nights. They just did the season ender....but I'm about 7 episodes behind....on TiVo. They will probably repeat them if anyone is interested....the premise is that 4400 people were abducted then returned with individual unique abilities....John got me hooked on it and now he doesn't watch it.

I did watch the first couple of seasons of 4400, I loved the first year, but I actually didn't see much of it last year. I should get it on DVD from the Library and catch up.

WOW...I just realized...I'm going to be alone in my neighborhood....mom, Sandi and I live within 5-10 mins. of each other. Mom is gone, bro will be leaving right after the Auction on Oct 20th, then Sandi and family will be leaving after the New Year....I can feel life changing again....drastically! Things will get very quiet...with a lot of free time! More cruises!!!!!! More DIS!!!!!

So DH John has off again tomorrow to drive me to the Dr. I'll be taking two Vicoden before the appointment and can't drive. Since John is taking all this time off he has to fill out an intermittant disability in the family temporary leave form or such....so they can't give him a hard time. I'm on page three of like 20 filling it out for him, since it is about my current illness....at least he has off to take me....otherwise I would have to drive, it's further than I normally go now, and not take the pain meds. Ouch! Thank goodness he can be with me now.

Lisa/disneylover5....I started my first meal from diettogo today. Thanks for the referral....it's more like real food and tastes much better. I only ordered two weeks of the B, L & D and some snacks. It cost me $130 per week, that's not bad.

I've been on Nutrisystem since the first of the month and I'll weigh myself on the first of next month. I don't want to weigh too often and get bummed if I didn't lose anything. I'd rather do it from month to month and keep track.

I like the diettogo menu, so I'm hoping it works!

Just popping in to say 'Hi'. I tried catching up on the past posts, but I can't even find the last post I made. I remember it has something to do with the new baby, Serenity.

DH is out of town this week in Vegas, so I have time to DIS. I miss DH when he's out of town, so I dream of DCL vacations to help pass the time.

I hope the full moon finds everyone in good health and happiness. I think I'll go back and try and catch up on most of the posts.

I just got an email from dinnermates on my first cruise in 2001...we cruised with them again in 2006. They said they're booked for Sept 2008 and did we want to join them.....hmmmmmm cruising in May 08 can I do Sept 08 and Jan 09 also???????????? Decisions Decisions!!!!!!!!!! Sweetie, what do you say????? Want to cruise with Kat and Jim again????????

Just stopping by with a quick note.

Can't remember if I updated you with the last info on mom...the surgeon detected an irregular heart beat. After a visit with the cardiologist on Friday it has been decided that surgery is still on for Thursday. The hard part on this is that she has a much higher risk for stroke/heart attack during the surgery and mom has a DNR. Much worry I'm afraid until it's over. I'll try to check in between now and then, but I'm feeling a bit outta my mind, so not sure if I am up to it.

We ended up going to the AG store on Friday and spent the rest of the weekend at Disneyland. Paul & Wilson gave up their race. I needed some away time. I have to say even the Happiest Place on Earth didn't make me happy. I was missing my mom's company the whole time.

Just popping in to say Hi also...school has started and we've been busy! I haven't had a chance either to read back. Hope all is well with everyone. I'll be lurking about until november when it slows down.

Today must be the "pop in and say Hi" day because I'm doing the same. HI everyone! Things have been so busy with school activities and after school activities. My part time, at home job has me swamped...so much for 10 hours a week! Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi" and I'm still around, thinking about everyone, praying for those who are not well, sending good wishes to cute new babies and of course, happy belated birthday to PJ (oh and happy UNbirthday John)!!!!!!

I taped those, and snuck over to watch most of Chuck, seems interesting, quarky switching between low budget public access feeling and spy show.


I have had two birthday dinners in two days, last year they all forget, guilt is good for the palette. Last night it was wilted spinach salad with goat cheese phylo cups, then BBQ chicken thighs and garlic baked potatoes, followed by my good friend Tony's Cheesecake. Tonight was Red Lobster, endless shrimp, yum.

My DH's sister Sheryl is a single woman who lives alone and is very organized. I think it is difficult for her to spend too many days with us and the GK's as she just is not used to the chaos and the noise. In her defense, she is a wonderful aunt to all the kids and they love her dearly.

Yes, my sister is the BEST AUNT EVER to my DD. They are so close and I am so grateful that they have each other!! My DSis is the perfect cross between an Aunt, Grandma and Friend. My DD does not have any grandparents as they have all passed.

DD had made my sister so much more social and optomistic, not a glass half full person anymore and my DSIS has enabled my DD a haven for her to go to and someone to talk to. She is so close to her and they have so much fun together.
