If you don't make the cruise, you at least have to join us on the boards for that trip, we'll miss you so....you can't have V become poster queen all by herself.

Well, Tyler has already decided he's saving money for his next cruise, whenever that may be. He told me he's saving for when the new ships are ready, but maybe I'll suggest that he might not want to wait that long. And he can put his savings towards Jan. '09. Something to think about.

I can't think today, but I need a color that starts with "C"...all I can think of are:
coral
cobalt blue....

but is there a "regular" color that starts with c?

We ask for a donation up front hoping we won't have to do a fundraiser. The most I have ever seen for 1 child is $50.

Another fairly easy idea is to contact Goodwill or someplace like that. You have parents bring donations to the school on a day and you guys get paid based on the amount donated.
Walk-a-thons also work well out here and usually bring in 10K or so.
Just a few of the "non-selling" type ideas we have tried before auction.

Tonight, I think there were 10-12 kids in the back yard, after they came back from dinner. I don't know where they went now....I don't hear them out back now.

OK, I could live with that as long as we all keep in touch! And try to cruise again...and chat everyday!

Pennsylvania's not too far of a drive. Something else to keep in mind. Well, it's a long drive, but doable. When I was in my 20s I went a few times to Altoona. Not sure how far you are from there, but that was about an 8 hour drive I think.

Lisa...Vanessa looks beautiful. So glad to hear that it is going well and she seems to be fitting in really quickly! Did you decide if you were taking her on the cruise or not? I know you had thought about it at one point but I don't remember your decision.

Thanks Kaylee, you're right of course...I will do the best that I can with everything that I've got going on...it HAS to be done in only one month. Then in October it will go up for auction and later that month I leave for cruise and World.

Well, someone has been chatty tonight, and now I have pages and pages to catch up on!

We traveled to the game and we WON!

Our HS Football team is now 3-0 - we won 37-6, and the 6 was scored when everyone but the waterboy was playing. As silly as it sounds, a successful football season will really help our levy request this fall.
