Yes, I have a happy tummy....got my NY strip steak and shared a molten lava cake with Peg. No more sugar THIS MONTH (that will be hard). We had a very nice time at Chili's, as my three favorite people were all there. So we had my favorite waitress, my favorite waiter had just gotten off his shift, so he sat and visited with us and my favorite hostess (his girlfriend) sat us near the front so she could visit between customers. A very nice evening! :thumbsup2

I love the molten cake. Unfortunately Darrell doesn't like desserts and I can't (ok shouldn't) eat the whole thing so I rarely get them. I like the new shot desserts at Chili's - so far I've tried the apple and the strawberry ones. Perfect size and I don't feel like I totally stuffed myself.

Karen, in case I don't make it here Tuesday:

Hey, I hear Brent will be our Cruise Director. Any of you sailed with him before? I can't wait to hear that Aussie accent!

He is awesome. I will have to se if I can find a pic of him in his pink tutu!!!

I am not liking the monthly amount needed to save on the budget worksheet! Yowzer!
When you add up everything it is ALOT of $$$.

Thanks for everyone who commented on the program. DH worked on it and is very proud of it.

and I am sorry for posting so many pictures..but I love looking at everyone's pictures (except ones of me!!). Plus - it's helpful when we meet! I can remember walking up to the check in counter at PC and John1 saying Hi V! - we had never met, simply messaged our way through the DIS and I had friends!!!!

I love your pics.

Don't worry Jackie, I'll have another glass for you;)
I first tasted Rosa Regale two yrs ago at my first Wine&Food fest at WDW. I searched and searched for it at home but could never find it, even had someone at the liquor store do a search on their computer but they couldn't find it in any Ontario stores:sad2: Then a couple months ago it finally showed up in the Vintage wine section of the store, yippee, but they were just small bottles, 375ml. That would be a perfect size for you! I bought a case, hoping they get us through a couple more birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I usually like dry red wines like a Shiraz, but I do like this for that festive sweet ending to a meal, especially when it involves chocolate too:thumbsup2

They are truly the gentle giants. I will try and take a photo of one of the Fresians out at the stables. Did you ever see the movie LADYHAWKE???

Michelle Pfeifer and Rutger Hauer? The horse in the film is a Fresian - they are big like Clydsdale's but black. They come from Europe and are beautiful. It's a great movie if you've never seen it, romance, curses, true love story. Ok, I better jump in the shower so I can meet Jackie so she can get her "last cake" before we get back on program tomorrow!

Have a great Labor Day - everybody!

Peggy Jo,

I love Ladyhawke! It's one of DD and my favorite films! I have always been a fan of Fresian horses.

We saw an amazing traveling show a couple of years ago called "Cavalia" and they had "Lusitanian" horses. So beautiful and the show was breathtaking! Very much worth seeing if you ever get the chance.

I truly love horses as does DD; we hope to be able to afford to sponsor a horse for her soon. She has done a camp every summer except this past summer where they truly live the "Ranch Camp" horse life. They take care of the horses as well as other farm animals and learn many different aspects of riding and horse handling.

She and I were Reminiscing about our horsback riding adventure in Denali National Park in Alaska! It was an unbelievable adventure staight up the side of a hill with a panoramic view of the valley!! So Cool!!!

What is the name of your DH's horse?

Karen

Phew, 11 pages!!!

Well done Venetia - you just popped in at just the right time then.:thumbsup2

I'll skip the cake and have a wine....I don't like chocolate.

 Don't like chocolate???!!!:confused3

Indeed! My chesnut (Arabian) I've had since he was 3 months old - he's 22 !!!!

The buckskin mare - is my DH's horse ( ) ! I used to run barrels! When I was in high school - I got into jumping and English way back and have never looked back. Although we usually ride "western" when we do trail riding or when people come to visit. These were taken during Woody's trip.

I'm glad you are enjoying them. I'm done now... but I will tell Holly the story.

My friend Barb and I went up to Flagstaff for a day of trail riding in the summer years back. There was a little "fair" going on and this lady had a Llahma (sp?) and she said to be careful when approaching because horses are afraid of Llahma's. So Barb (competitive pal that she is) said, OH? And began to walk her Thorobred mare up to this Llahma, at about 10 feet her little mare did the best ROLLBACK I've ever seen a T-bred do. (Rollback, is when a horse spins three legs completely around balancing on one hind leg) and then hit the grass running! :scared1: It was so funny.... HOWEVER, then my competitive nature kicked in :rolleyes1 and I walked Marquie (my arabian) right up to the Llahma and he touched that Llahma's nose and the Llahma back up at about 50 miles an hour, afraid of MY HORSE!

I was so proud... Marquis ADORES other animals, and will always try to say hello... :yay:

You were pushing your luck there! Love your pics and horses.:)

I broiled rib eye steaks for an early dinner. Baked an apple pie for DrHug also.

No pie for you Angie? My John would like to come and live at your house.:rotfl:

ME TOO! Pretty! And I love the cacti in the background (is that the plural for cactus?). You probably don't even notice them, but they look so cool to me, never having seen a real one.

I was thinking the same thing Holly but thought they would't really notice.

So Tyler got home about 7:20, we did a quick bedtime routine, and he's been asleep for about 45 minutes. He was one tired little guy. But first he told me he wanted to do a check of everything in his backpack to make sure he had everything he needs! :rotfl2:

Sweet.:)

did I mention potty training? It was really pretty good at WDW, aside from me having to visit every restroom 50 times, Haley did great!

Well done Haley. Life must be easier now for you - at home anyway, going to restrooms when out is a pain!

Yes, those are saguaro, found only in the Sonoran dessert.

We loved the scenery there. We went to the area to the west of Tucson that had a visitor centre that told us all about the saquaro - just a stunning area.

Going to be a nice week here - just as the children go back to school!:confused3

Good morning Marilyn!

Yes, they were a chatty bunch until around 9:00 pm my time, and then it was just me, myself and I!!

We are back home and it is pleasant here at the moment. It is supposed to be only 85 tomorrow, then back to the mid-ninties for a while!!

Already missing the coast...

Hope you have lovely weather and a lovely day!

Karen

I hope these show up and don't all turn to little red Xs or something crazy.

Thanks, kinda crazy to be 50 years old.

Started the morning with getting 4 kids out the door.
Vanessa (6:30am High School)
Annie (7:30am Middle School)
Drew (my nephew, going to commute to DC 7:30am)
Gretchen (time to get her up for 8:30 am school bus)

So far everything smooth.

Mom will get up soon and I will see how she is feeling with all the new meds.

Going out to dinner tonight, that is just perfect for a celebration,
Thanks again,
Lisa

Lisa/LiserAnn I don't see any news on the fires in Greece anymore...what's going on? Are they out? Did your mom reach her family there? Hoping all is over and everyone is okay!!!!! :cloud9:
