When I spoke with Super Shuttle, they said use any of the berth numbers, 91, 92 or 93 and then note in the comments Disney Magic. That way they know you are referring to the port in San Pedro instead of Long beach. Hope that helps.

Yep, I figured that out. It's berth #93 according to the Port website. Anyway, we're on an exclusive van at 9:40 am. Should be no problem getting to the airport on time.

It's so cool to be able to make reservations. Makes it seem so much more real! Woohoo!

The Delta flight is just later and a little higher in price. LiserAnn and myself are taking the AA flight. If you can swing the time come join us. I have not booked yet but LiserAnn already did. I will be doing mine this week. Nevermind, I checked and they are both the same price now.

thanks Deb, I'm quite looking forward to our little adventure! Mind you, we have to travel by train as I can't drive that distance yet (since the fall down stairs)...its 103 miles across country.....and we just checked the fare prices...its over £200 for the 2 of us!!!! (that'd be somewhere around $400!!) I could fly to Orlando for that! Ridiculous! She wanted to visit St Andrews (in Scotland) but think we'll have to give that one a miss!

I'm really jealous of you guys going to Vegas, I've always wanted to go too...l may have to live vicariously through you Deb!

We're going straight home also. We will be flying Alaska.

We made reservations last night in conjunction with Vanessa, we are flying out Tuesday on Frontier, out of SNA. $560 for the three of us. Booked with seats selected, and I haven't even yet booked the flight to Orlando (Airtran does not have dates in yet).

Oh, and we're leaving at 6:45 am! (really 9:45 our time - I keep telling Amy!)

Actually, I don't know how we're getting home from LA. At one point Peg mentioned just renting a car and driving back...I think she's assuming there will have been too much SHOPPING on the cruise and she won't want to schlep stuff on a plane! Sounds like a good idea to me

Thrill seeker eh Not exactly the way I want to end this trip LOL. I'm looking forward(I think) to doing new and exciting things like parasailing and swimming with dolphins and stingrays and snorkelling...but I need to know I'll be able to catch my flight home!

My sis, her son & I did the west coast Magic a couple of years ago. She & her son flew home to Phx. from Orange County/John Wayne airport and I drove them there. It seems to me that they left around 1 p.m. and I got them to the airport just in time (an hour early). I remember that there was a huge backup to get off the ship and they had separate lines for those w/passports and those w/out. The passport line was shorter. We had late seating so we were in the second group to disembark.

I'm not sure how far LAX is from the port (or more importantly, how LONG it takes to drive there--milage doesn't necessarily help you know how long it will take to drive somewhere in that area.) My guess is that it would take at least 45 min. Then factor in how early to need to be at the airport for your flight--these days, an hour usually isn't enough time, so you'd probably want to be there 90-120 min. early I would think.

Does DCL let people w/early flights disembark before everyone else? That would make a difference, too.

Uh oh, now you're scaring me! I don't want to end the cruise being all stressed out trying to catch a flight I may or may not be able to catch! There are other flights I can look at with other airlines...but some of them are going to take so much longer to get me home...and some I need to turn around and take a 3 hr bus shuttle at the end to make it all the way home Maybe I'd be better to find an inexpensive hotel (is this possible in LA?)close to the airport and fly out the next morning? I do have late dining, so looks like I may not get off the ship as early?

We have known people who disembarked FIRST by skipping breakfast and standing at the doorway until it was opened.

We also know people who had second seating for dinner who explained to their servers that they needed to leave earlier and everyone was fine with them showing up for early breakfast.

Then there is us--we don't want to leave. They almost have to pry our fingers off the railings--so we eat late seating and take our time and meander off the ship and down the gangway when there is no one there. Also means our luggage is almost the only luggage in the claim area and there is next to no line to take it through customs.

Here's a question for you frequent DCL cruisers....
What time do you HAVE to be off the ship by? If I remember we were at the late seating breakfast and disembarked around 9, does that seem right? So, I guess I am asking, what time is "last call" when they boot you off the ship? And, is the buffet open as well this am or do you have to do the sit down breakfast?
