Lisa, DS is so cute! Congrats!

Kaylee, Happy Brithday!

kaylee, I read that the next seasons of LOST will run new episodes back to back no repeats, so a late start sounds right. I wonder if they will do a recap of this season in the fall or put another show in it's place.

Hi everyone,

I have been so busy the last couple of weeks and feel so bad for not coming on. Once school is over on Friday for my oldest I am hoping to have more time.

My DD had her soccer tournament this past weekend and they did great. They placed 2nd. They had never played together before so that was fantastic. Kristin was asked to be their full time goalie after the tournament because she did such a great job. She is now a club player and no more AYSO. I am really proud of her but financially it is a big hit. The drive there was brutal because I did it both Saturday and Sunday with both kids by myself but it was still loads of fun. I hope everyone is doing well.

Lisa, my little graduates next Thursday so I know what you mean. It makes you want to cry.

alright it's summer, so no school so I can DIS more with you guys!! yay!!

btw, Big Brother fans I believe the new season starts on July 5th. I'm actually pretty excited about summer tv, some of my favorite shows are coming back- Rescue Me, Kyle XY (where is that boy's bellybutton?!?), BB, Big Love......

on the weight loss topic: I've been on a pretty strict diet since march, but have been cheating left and right this week, so I decided to go to the gym today...good lord it almost killed me! but since I seem to be stuck on a plateau lately this should help....but I have lost 45 pounds since March, so that's good...

Holly, glad to hear Diego was so good, I was going to take my neice Lily to see this in July, but she'll still be on vacation unfortunately....

anybody seen any good movies lately? went to see Knocked Up- it was hilarious, but definitely rated R for a reason!

We saw Mr Brooks this weekend and it was really good. Not suitable for children but a good adult movie!!!

Share you diet with the rest of us!!! 45 pounds since March is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! Keep it up and don't get it back!!!

Congratualations to your daughter, and I am sorry about your little one. Mine is trying for the 5 year high school program, and I miss the days when she was little and I could actually HELP her with her math homework!!!

I like when they do them back to back, so it makes it easier, but still....8 long months with no answers.....The finale was great this year and just left you hanging so high up there:lmao:

Congrats to your eldest. She must be a tough one to handle goalie full time! Jaide is a great defense but a horrible goalie. COLOR]

Good morning.

We're there from 25th Nov to 10th Dec, with a 4 night cruise from 2nd Dec!! We might just see you then!:)

Marilyn,

I think that we are now going to try and stay through the 26th! We want to do the MVMCP on the night of the 25th, so we may stay over. Perhaps we can meet up in MK that night?

I would love to do this but I fear there will be so many foods we don't like.

They actually cater the entire menu to your taste! Last trip, we were just at a "regular" table and they had asked me when I made the reservation if we had any requests or allergies and I said that I had trouble with Onions and Peppers. They made all of my sauces and marinades without either!! So amazing!!!

Hope she is feeling better today.

The doctor tested her for strep throat but said that she might have Mono!!:scared1: It's the first time that I hope that she does have strep!!!

That explains it Deb! I wondered how you could keep up with so little sleep. How horrible for you though. I hate being awake in the night but as I get older it happens more often - much less sleep than I used to have.

I too have odd sleeping habits. Mostly born from the fact that I am just naturally a night person. But since I have had back and joint (fybromalgia) issues, I just don't sleep that well at night and need a bit more rest in the morning. Then I am awake at night with my natural night-owlishness and the pattern just repeats.

It's bittersweet in a way....since he's my last one and going to Kindergarten is such a milestone. It's almost as though it's the beginning of their loss of innocence. I remember with my older boy he came home from Kindergarten one day and said something and I said...where'd you hear that?! He said, "oh so and so says that"...oh well. Our babies must grow up sometime....:sad1:

It goes SO FAST!!!

I had DD in at the doctors today with her soar throat and even the doctor said "you're baby's growing up", it almost made me cry!

Laura,

I so want to see Mr. Brooks! Glad to here that it was good!

We're in that club...no tivo or dvr here. It seems like so much work to get it set up to me and DH has invested hours of figuring out what he wants, plasma tv and all, but won't spend the $$$ to get it. Go figure

Oh we went ahead and bought the LCD flat panel HD TV and after hooking up the new HD cable box and everything else back up I said no more - you would think these things would get easier as the technology improves but it gets more and more confusing every time I add something else. So for now its a good old VHS hooked up to the bedroom tv to tape shows on - only reg cable there.

Love Big Love!!! 5 days to go!
We saw it last weekend and enjoyed it - definitely not for the kids!

Count me in on hoping for the LOST finale on board!!!! We have a chance of seeing it only because of the affiliation with ABC and Disney, right?! Did everyone hear the rumor that new episodes won't start again until January?:scared1: :scared1: :sad2:

Yep on ABC. I read that the next 3 seasons are only going to be 16 episodes each but they will run straight through with no breaks or reruns. And I don't think they are starting until January - at least for next season.

We saw Mr Brooks this weekend and it was really good. Not suitable for children but a good adult movie!!!

Totally agree - we both liked it a lot. Found it very interesting.

Going to see Hostel II this weekend and maybe POTC III finally. (We've been waiting for the crowds to die down.)

Karen, got the wine! Thanks so much. My sister is coming up tomorrow. I had a great day just relaxing today. I went to see Knocked up and then my DH met me around 6pm to have dinner. After dinner, a massage at Burke something or other. And now we will relax with no yelling of kids! Good-night all. Lisa

Hi all,
I wanted you to be the first to know that because of DH's job change, we will be cancelling this cruise. :sad1:

When it came down to it, 16 nights (including the pre-cruise night) was just way too much for my DH and my BIL.

The only thing that has made this decision bearable is that we have booked an RCI Voyager Western for April 2008. So, my mom gets her "historical" cruise (several ports with excursions to Mayan ruins), and I still get a cruise vacation! And I'm actually excited about trying a new ship, and I'm so excited to go to Roatan Island, Honduras. I've heard the snorkling is incredible, and right off the beach.

So, once I finish writing this, I'm calling DCL to cancel--SO, there will be a cat 4 open and two cat 8s open. So let anyone you know who wants to book that there is availability!

I so enjoyed meeting so many of you! Always feel free to PM me. I hope you will post live trip report threads and/or blogs! I will be keeping up with your journey practically every free minute! :thanks:

Karin,
It was great to meet you. Enjoy your trip to Roatan--that's where I made my first scuba dives, back in '93. It was beautiful then and I'm sure it still is now. Best of luck to your husband in his new job!

Night/Morning all...

DIS is going down for the night (Pacific Time, that is!)

We saw Mr Brooks this weekend and it was really good. Not suitable for children but a good adult movie!!!

I saw Mr. Brooks today and thought it was very good. I don't usually like Kevin Costner but he was very good in it and I always like Wm. Hurt. Looking forward to seeing Knocked Up tomorrow.

Finally got here after a slow morning!

Karen I would so love to meet you but we don't arrive onsite on the 25th till 5pm ish, so won't be doing a park!!!:sad2: May pop down to DTD if we are not too late arriving and feel up to it!

Off to Epcot early on Monday. Where will you be staying?

Hi Granmaz

I was reading another times about height.

I am 5 ft and smaller than you and find problem with trouser and long skirt well.

I have new top and blouse for my holiday next month and still looking for trouser and skirt:sad2: !!

Wallis, Principles and Next do a Petite range but they are quite expensive, so I end up only buying in the sale! Sometimes there are some odd things in the petite range at BHS, but they can be a bit old fashioned or office wear.
