V....the weather is saying scattered T-storms through the weekend...is that meaning those typical 4pm rain showers that Florida gets in the summer or is the weather really not that great for the weekend?
I am not sure if you have left yet, but I wouldn't worry, it has been pretty nice here...warm, but nice.

I have to agree with Amy on that movie! Darrell saw it in the theater 3 times - twice by himself. I preferred Val Kilmer until Christian Bale - now he is definitely Batman!

Darrell loved X-files - but only when it was about the whole mythology so I'm surprised he hasn't liked Heroes more but I think he thought it was going to be like Lost. And while I still watch Lost he gave up midway through season 2. I think Heroes is almost the opposite of Lost - sometimes they give me so much info in one episode I feel on overload. Whereas Lost dribble out the info in crumbs and for everything you learn they give you 3 more questions.
I love the X-Files!!

:car: <---me in my imaginary red Mustang!

This is what DH drives...used to be MINE before having children. Now it is in a state of shambles. :sad2:

Still plodding through the pages. At 988 now!
Here's a picture from our DIS meet dinner last Friday. It was really fun to see Jackie and Peggy again and to meet Tori and Mark. :cool1:

Don't want to give too much away, but watch out for Tori on Pirate Night!pirate:

It is going to be great meeting you in person. We should recognise many people shouldn't we?

Well hello
Wow this is a busy thread!:scared1: almost 15000 posts and it is still over a year away! Well at least people are excited about the cruise. My husband and I are going to be in a Cat 6 (I made him get up at an ungodly hour to do the reservations:lmao: ) and my sister in law and her husband are going to be in Cat 9. I am sooooooo looking forward to all the days at sea. Those were my favorite part of our 7 day eastern caribean cruise. As excited as I am though I can't think about it right now because we are going on the Mediteranean cruise this August and we just made our shore excursion reservations a few days ago! My brain might explode with all the excitement!

Hi there. How exciting to be goin on a Med cruise. Where are you visiting?

Samantha met with the head of the English Department this morning. She was told essentially that if she wants to graduate in May she will have to change her English Major to a minor. The process for approval for a substitute course will not be final before the petition closing date for graduation in May. The head will support the case for her to take the final 3 units elsewhere but there just is not enough time.

Needless to say, we are very disappointed in the University of San Diego. The professor as in any school has the last word. It does not matter if he says one thing and changes his mind later. There is just not simply enough time to go through the appeals process. This is one school who will not be getting any MORE of our money.

We have sent out the invitations so she will just have to explain to family and friends what has happened.

Sigh.............

Oh no....I'm so sorry to hear the result. How disappointing. :sad2:

Well, only 1 more hour at work today! Can you all tell how hard I'm working? :rolleyes1

I have to do this.....it will drive my kids crazy!!

I can not believe that!! Small world!!

Good luck with your mom. I need to call mine now...she is going to go to the doctor. I need to make the appointment.

I am going to Bethany this weekend. We have a busy few days.

Thursday - Bunco tonight!!

Friday - Virginia BBque - going for dinner. The parents of 3 of Daniel's best friends and us are throwing one graduation party....all together and we are thinking of catering it from here. So we thought we would go to dinner and try it out!!

This is also Prom night.....so you guys will have to look at pictures.....

Saturday - Go to beach with 2 friends ...mow lawn there....take a walk on the beach.....

John and I will be in staying in Ocean City, MD, Sat, Sun and Mon. We'll hit Bethany and Rehoboth. We're coming home Tuesday. If you weren't going to be there with your friends, I would suggest doing a mini-meet. Maybe next time. Have fun. I need the ocean this weekend. It always puts life into perspective for me.
:cool2:

Sunday - drive home and take DFIL out for birthday dinner.....

You have quite a busy weekend and a fun one too it sounds like. Enjoy!:cheer2:

Hello everyone. Just back from our 2 week's holiday in Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Far too many pages to read before I post this hello, but I will have to browse through them.

Missed all the chat - can you imagine what it will be like this time next year? :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

YEAHHHHH Hi Marilyn, Glad you're back, I've missed my early morning chats with you. Tell us all about the holiday when you can. :goodvibes

Well, since he could fly like Nathan too, I think it would be safe to say Nathan is dead too. But . . . remember, this is an alternate future that hopefully Hiro will be able to prevent.

I saw the episode, it was great! I think Nathan is still alive in the present and not alive in the future...because Peter was in LA with Niki, then he shows up in NY and he Knew that it was Sylar when he saw "Nathan". Great Show! I love it!;) ;)

How cool! My 5 yr old niece does that for Meijer stores (for their clothing and toy departments) and for some other place too, but I can't remember where. Oops.....most of you don't have Meijer stores where you live! It's a large grocery store chain that doesn't just sell groceries, but sells everything under the sun that you could ever need. Their motto is something like "The one stop shopping spot" and it's true! :goodvibes

Like our Fred Meyer stores, now owned by Kroeger....Everything Under One Roof.

I can certainly understand that this is a difficult time for you. Hopefully, you will be able to persuade her as none of us including my Dad were ever able to make my Mother do ANYTHING she did not want to do. My Dad was always so much easier and more reasonable to deal with even in his last days.

It's kind of like giving her enough rope to hang herself and then hopefully she will listen...I can only try and hope for the best. Thanks for all your concern and understanding.;)

After so many years of hard work, it comes down to this....just so unfair! Sending hugs to both of you...

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA for so long. I miss catching up with you all. After returning from our vacation, it's been a PAIN trying to catch up on work. Then we had Olivia's first birthday (BIG party at my house) and I'm still recovering (and writing thank-you cards).

What's the status on joining a fish extender group? I still haven't done that!

I'm sorry that this has happened. I know it's a great disappointment-I actually had something similar happen at UCI with my BA in Poli Sci. I had all the pre-graduation counselor appointments and was told I did everything (as I thought and planned) I needed to do to graduate. June came, I walked through the ceremony and "graduated". Well, about two weeks later I come back from vacation to find a letter from the University stating that I hadn't actually graduated. I had taken an upper division writing class that supposedly qualified for the upper division writing requirement...however, they approved it to fulfill the requirement AFTER I had taken the class but they wouldn't make an exception for me. Is that the most ridiculous thing?! So, I had to take an upper division writing class over the summer AND therefore, my diploma says September 1988 instead of June 1988. When I got the letter I was in sheer panic, thinking how could I have gone to college for 5 years, applied and gotten into law school and then have this happen?! I was stunned and upset at the University! (Needless to say, I opted not to go to law school because I put myself through college and I felt the expense was too great of a burden for me to bear since I already had college loans.)

I know exactly how you're all feeling. It's quite sad and disappointing.

Well, you will just have to add pink stuff to the camo decorations for the girls like in girly camo outfits!!
CioBellaPantSet.jpg

That is so funny!! Gretchen has these pants and she wore them to school the other day. When she came home for school she said...."someone asked me how do you hid out in the woods with PINK Camoflouge!!" She said "you know, they are right!!":lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You have quite a busy weekend and a fun one too it sounds like. Enjoy!:cheer2:

I will send you a PM and on your way though Bethany, you can stop by the house....maybe we can get lucky and be able to say hi to one another. If you don't go though Bethany or we miss....then another time!!

You knwo what's funny- something similar happened to me. I got stuck taking ONE MORE COURSE after I should have been done with college. I knew beforehand, so I didn't walk or participate in graduation, but my picture was in the "Class of 1999" yearbook.

I wound up needing to take a finance course, predominantly by correspondence in the winter of my first year of law school. So I technically went to law school and finished college the same year. So my college diploma is from 2000 and my law school diploma is from 2002, which makes it look like I completed law school in two years instead of three.

To make the situation even more confusing, I graduated High School in 1996, but had completed enough college credits to skip a year of college. So I should have completed college in 2000 by normal standards anyway, but no one can figure out how I completed law school so quickly!

I just bought my mom's Mother's Day gift.....a ticket to go see Wicked with me in July! She's gonna be really happy!

It's such a beautiful day today! I should be doing yardwork....I have to clear out all of the branches in our back yard that fell over winter so I can mow. That's right.....I haven't mowed our back yard yet. But it's not as bad as you'd think because it's all shade back there, so the grass grows really slowly. However, I'm just sitting on my front porch, enjoying the chance to relax in the beautiful weather! :thumbsup2

Holly- I haven't mowed yet either! We just bought a lawnmower a few days ago. I collected up our branches, but they're sitting in a pile and need to be bundled.

Going to Wicked sounds great! I've seen the show twice, and LOVED it!
