I'm still trying to figure out a way to go to the El Capitan Opening Weekend for POTC III. Now if only I learned how to time travel.:cool2:

Or bi-locate :teleport:

Time to pack it in and head on home....hmmmmm what's for dinner tonight? I feel like some pizza!

Did you guys see that airline skybus? They are offering 10.00 flights from Columbus, Ohio to FLL lucky them. They go to a lot of little airports. They are flying from Columbus to Burbank, CA for 10.00 also. I was thinking why not do Burbank to Ohio to FLL and then drive wherever. It would only be 80.00 each way for my family. John you should check it out. I am sure you already know about them though.

Never heard of them, so I checked it out . . .

Great deals . . .

I looked into it for our December trip. BUT . . . Fort Lauderdale is about a 3 1/2 hour drive to WDW. Add to that the 2.5 hour drive to Port Columbus Airport from our house. So I would be adding about 6 hours of travel time to the trip. Most days the flight is $40 each, each way, oh, and you get into FL at about 10:00 at night. When we fly from our regional airport on Airtran for about $89 each way on sale, airport is 15 minutes from our house, and we fly right into MCO.

Now, for the flight back from California, I may look into it. Or If I were just going to Vero Beach, we may consider it too. Of course, with how I felt about Southwest, I don't know if this is the airline for me . . .

After I posted that I went and really checked it out and you are right. The best flights would be from California to Ohio. If you ever have to do a quick trip remember them. That is so sad that they are so far away for you guys.

Hope you're all feeling better soon. We're dealing with colds right now. DH has bronchitis but the boys and I were fortunate to just get colds...sniffle, sniffle....

Thanks. The boys are back to normal today. Hope your family is better soon.

Amy told me though that we should not complain too much - not too many people have an airport 15 minutes away that flies to most places you may want to go to. We can fly airtran to the East and South, and Frontier has a daily flight to Denver with connections to the West. Both offer pretty good value. If that doesn't work, Southwest flies out of Cleveland about an hour away.

I also read a bit more about Skybus . . .

You pay $5 for each checked bag (we usually check two bags each - so add $10 each). You pay for everything on board - drinks, snacks, etc. Not that we are big snackers on board a flight, but I do like to have a soda.

Oh, and you can pay $10 more to priority board so you can make sure you get your seat. Cost keeps getting closer to what we now pay to go directly to MCO.

Cool idea, and if I were traveling alone with just carryon, it would be a great value.

For those of you wondering like I was what an ENTJ is . . .

ENTJ
Frank, decisive, assume leadership readily. Quickly see illogical and inefficient procedures and policies, develop and implement comprehensive systems to solve organizational problems. Enjoy long-term planning and goal setting. Usually well informed, well read, enjoy expanding their knowledge and passing it on to others. Forceful in presenting their ideas.

Sounds like you V!

Oh my, I'm not sure what to think. Wow, a teacher on board the ship. Now I have a way to convince the school it could be educational. Downside, I wouldn't want my friend to be 'teaching' during her cruise.

:rolleyes1 Hmmmmmmm....a little extra spa $$$???? Study hall in Animator's Palate? Who knows what might develop???

I miss our UK ladies. Hope they're having fun on their holidays.
:dance3:

not there yet Deb!!!!:thumbsup2 Maz went last week, we go tomorrow!

Just a flying visit as I still have so much to do before we go tomorrow, and we've been really busy the last few days so don't have time to catch up with all the pages...boo!!!:rolleyes1

My friend's wedding went well on Saturday, she had a beautiful day for it, I have some photo's if anyone is interested?

Dad enjoyed his Birthday on Sunday with us there and my brother and sil too. We took them out to dinner on Friday night to our fave Spanish restaurant where the owners are the friendliest people I've ever met and still remamber us from when we used to live around there. I had the best paella!

Anyway, just spent a fortune on all those last minute bits and pieces for teh trip....should have waited and got them over there in the US, I'm sure it's much cheaper really.:confused3 :rolleyes1

Hope everyone is well....I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and will be thinking of you while I'm cruising...I may even have a glass of champagne and toast us Champagne girls for next year!;) :cool1:

'Talk' to you all again in a couple of weeks or so!:dance3:
