Passport photos ALWAYS look horrible in my experience. That is when you know it's time to go home, when you look that bad. Erma Bombeck has a book with a title like that. It is sort of funny, but when you read it aloud it is REALLY funny.Jan
Loved that book and all of her books!
Well today I have been trying to get plans for our
Disneyland Trip. How many days does it take to see Disneyland and California Adventure.... What about Universal...is it worth it.
Plan 3 or 4 depending on how many kids you have and their ages.
Okay. I thought so. Ken is a DIS friend. He and Shari are just too awesome. We were tablemates on the 10 day. We were originally supposed to go on the TransAtRepo but had to cancel. We have met with them a couple of times, at DL. But then ANgie already told you that.
I thought you guys were originally on the TA.
correctionl.....tonight's PBS Masterpiece Theater offering is "Northanger Abbey". Mansfield Park next week...and I haven't missed the "Big 3" Emma, Sense & Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice.....guess where I'll be every Sunday night for the next few months!
Love Jane Austen, I want to see the book club movie.
I was a Hospital Pharmacist for 17 years. St Jude, Anaheim Memorial, Martin Luther, Hemet Valley, and VA Long Beach, then VA Portland. The latter was way behind OC and Long Beach when it came to standards of practice. I finally had to just quit. Now I work for an agency. I am loving it. My first Hospital job was at Anaheim Memorial. It was, at that time, the first Trauma Center on the West Coast. What an awesome learning experience working there. They finally gave up the TC designation. It was too costly. Trauma patients don't pay the bills. St. Jude took it over. Anyway...it was tops back then. Great hospital.
I will PM you with an article I'm writing for little kids about the role of the pharmacist. If you wouldn't mind checking it out for me.
How cool. Bob Saget performed on the first Disney PC cruise.Woody
OK, so here's a little about Bob, Bob's stand up is considered one of the bluest (dirtiest) in the business. I think it became even worse as he tried to shed his image of Full House and America's Most Funniest Videos. Off stage he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. After my fire, he gave me his desk (in fact, everyone from Full House supplied me with clothes, linens, furniture, and money.) He said, "Kelly, I wrote some great stuff on this desk for 11 years and now I'm going to pass it on to you to write on." I'm sitting at that desk right now! I heard all about the act from the PC 05 and it didn't sound good, it was the wrong audience for his material. Disney bookers should have known better. Great guy, don't care for his current stand up. He is a wonderful director and won a student academy award. He is extremely smart.
I haven't seen this show, but I have to tell you both that in the Midwest, that is our impression of California (I get enough of the gist from following the conversation). Having met a bunch of you from there (albeit online) has given me a different perspective. When I was in DL, and walking around DTD, I did see a lot of what I would describe as my initial impression though.
Trust me the people you see on these shows are charactures. While many people here are very healthy looking (because we are an agricultural state and we have good excercise weather), there are a lot of really honest, very smart, giving people. Hollywood is like it's own manufactured state separated by the media.
Great. The Disneyland Half Marathon is fun -- the course goes through Disneyland and DCA. We plan to walk/jog.
Some have expressed interest in walking on sea days on Deck 4 in the morning. Interested? Woody
Woody, I'm so there with you to train, I love listening to books on deck 4 speed walks. I'm an eater, so I have to get out there.
Oh my, what a terrible story. I am so sorry. You NEVER think something like this could happen to you......oh my......
Yes, it stunk! and you're right people never think it will happen to them.
Loved it!

I really like the one that says
Castaway Club, because it fits all of us. Even those who aren't members yet, will be on this trip. They look great
Hello everyone. I am a long time lurker and decided to introduce myself. I am George and my wife is Linda. This will be our second

The "nice" Californians are on the DIS

!
(coming from someone who's NOT a native Californian

)
Not too many natives in CA. My mom, sisters and Dr. Hug. My grandparents came here from the farms of OK in 1936.
Well our family is cruising with you on this wonderful Panama cruise. We are so excited. I regret however that I have not been able to keep up with this thread. It is a lot different from others I have been on. Not too much cruise talk, and vacation planning going on. We have been really busy getting rental car and hotels lately. I would love to hear from others as to what your plans are. We will be flying in on the 9th. Overnighting at the Sheraton in the Coco Becah Surf company, and then boarding early. After this cruise we are renting from
Avis .2 miles from the port, then heading straight to DL for 2 days. Then on to Malibu. Vegas, and finally 1 day in Sonoma and 1 day at pier 39/Alcatraz in San Fran. Then sadly flying home. This will be a wonderful 24 day vacation for us. We are so ready. I went and bought new Mickey luggage, and am getting ready to make the Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot luggage tags. We have designed our door signs and such. I will hopefully be able to print them soon.
I just had a minute to check in and thought I would grab it. I am sorry that I do not get to post much. I try to catch up each day at some point, but I am lost. I see something about lanyards...but again....lost
That's sweet
Welcome
