Continuing Ed that is mostly review seems like such a waste of time to me, but DH says "You're getting credit for what you learned in life." So I relax some.

We were finalists for Wife Swap after the first year but we decided the money was not worth it because they show the worst of people and while I think we lead a wonderful life, going to church, homeschooling, active in many community activities, etc. live in nice neighborhood, travel, etc. BUT that got me worried about who the swap would be with and after watching several years of the shop on and off I am glad we opted out! They even called back 1.5 years ago offering more money - and we still said no.It would be terrible if they would send the swap wife on my disney cruise!

OK, that would be scary to send the wife on the cruise. I used to love the idea of wife swap (the show), but nobody ever goes into a home and says, "you know what I like what I see here, I can learn something from you." It's all about changing people to their own way of thinking first, then learning something. In business school, the first rule is learn from your new environment and then make changes. I wonder how their ratings are doing now? They need to change their formula.

I have a question - I booked this cruise through DCL and am being tempted with OBC's being offered.

I am scared to transfer a cruise - especially one that is sold out.

Anyone have any advice?

I transferred mine to my TA before they opened but it was painless to transfer it but I have a horrible TA and want to switch to DU but the hassle and fear that the reservation would get messed up lead me to decide to just stick it out this cruise and not use her in the future.

But since you aren't with any TA right now it probably is pretty easy to get it put in a TA's name but you would lose all control on making changes to the reservation and payments would have to go through them. But if you choose to move it to a TA to get the OBC it has to be before the cruise is PAID in FULL!

You're so lucky. I think CA is the only state in the U.S. that is smoke free in public places (but I could be wrong). We did have ONE smoke free restaurant/bar in my city, but it went out of business.

Indianapolis and a few other Indiana cities are smoke-free if they served children. Smoking is allowed only in bars or restaurants closed to children.

DH and I plan to get certified someday...won't be in time for this cruise though.

I did get my passport photo taken yesterday....it's horrible!

Passport photos ALWAYS look horrible in my experience. That is when you know it's time to go home, when you look that bad. Erma Bombeck has a book with a title like that. It is sort of funny, but when you read it aloud it is REALLY funny.

I'd like to point out something very, very important! Bravo is running the "real housewives of Orange County" (which I secretly tune into because I'm so shocked and stunned by it!)

I'd like to say that I don't know anyone in Orange County who acts like them, thinks like them, behaves like them! And I know a lot of really, really rich people here, who are not obnoxious like these people. It stuns me! I've lived here my entire life and wonder where did they find these people? And what will happen to their poor children? If one more show comes here to show the rich and obnoxious people I will just freak out. There are some beautiful people here, but the ones I know are into health and giving back and paying it forward... and I know a lot of people! I just have to get that off my back every time I see it.

I keep thinking, lord I hope others don't judge Americans by the folks they see on reality TV

I just found this picture of MrsMork & me with our DGS and the band geeks at the Toon Town Fire Dept. That was the most fun I have had at DL. Well, except for 9/9/67 of course. That was a much better kind of fun.

Amy- we have a Cabellas too...we've never been since we don't camp...but meaning to head out there with the DK for a fun outing though. At first I thought you may live in AZ and that's why you mentioned it but then I saw the snow Great pics

on these specialty cruises do they ever open up the spa to younger kids? Not that I need more money down the drain but it would be great to have a BBB on the ship.

I thought they allowed kids in the spa when the boat is at a port I was considering taking my DD to it since I think we are at CC on a formal night so they could do her hair We'll see.

Thanks...that will be my route. You just saved me a ton of time because 50% of the time, I can't remember what page I left off on! (It's an over 40 thing, I'm sure )

I recommend tx to DU and take their offer of OBC. They just take over your current ressie, nothing changes, you have nothing to loose and $$$ to gain. And they are nice folks to work with.

I love the original Parent Trap and the original Freaky Friday...I even rember the book when I was a child loved that too Remakes are good too but the original
