There has been a post on the main cruise board about GTY. Someone going on the 19th I think, is still GTY!!!

I do not mind if we don't get a cabin assignment until we get to port. I am going on the ship A surprise about which stateroom is fine but big surprises I do not like.

I have to say the chicken pot pie was awesome...it was really really good. Really good. The girls loved it. John would have licked his plate had I let him.

I am glad to be on the ship as well...I just hope those who are GTY that are going to be sending boxes will have a cabin number before arriving to the port!

not much going on this weekend.....now they are saying that the cold front is coming through and the weather will be in the 30's-40's. Craziness. I wish it would be summer already.

We were discussing excursions over pot pie last night and I think we didn't come to any conclusions. John finally said, you pick what you pick and we don't throw a fit. I am just going to try and do budget things in each port.

In the paper today, USF states that they are under a hiring freeze and may be forced to reduce staff as well as the student body (not accepting more students). The article went on to state all the state universities are pretty much under the same budget crisis (here in FL). Everyday it seems like something else.

Yes, I plan on him doing some work for me one day. One of the attorneys here wears a different tie every day, always with some cartoon character on it. Yup, he has enough to wear a different one every day of the year! Anyway, I saw him yesterday with a Mickey head tie, so I'm going to ask him if he can bring it in for Bobby to wear while at the office.

Morning All.

We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday. It is supposed to warm up this afternoon so I'm sure most will be gone.

I have to work 4, 3-11pm shifts at the hospital the next couple of days I am so behind on all the posts.

We were going to be first time cruisers on this cruise, but now we're not!!!

So while we were in the waiting room for our psychologist appt. on Thursday, I said, "Tyler....come here, I have a secret to tell you!" He got all excited and came running to me. I told him "One of our fellow cruisers is a BANANA named Bobby and he's traveling the country visiting other passengers before the cruise. And...guess what? He's coming to visit us for a couple days really soon!" He started cracking up and ran over to his dad and said, "DAD! Guess what? There's a guy in a banana suit going on our cruise and he's coming to stay at our house!"



You should have seen the look on his dad's face! So I clarified, and he thought it was pretty funny too!

So Tyler's very excited about Bobby coming!

I tried to find where I had last read and gave up about 15 pages back.

Holly, glad to hear you are back online in the comfort of your home with us again. Also very glad to hear that Tyler is progressing with his therapy. DSIL has had OCD since he was in middle school. He had never been on meds, but saw a therapist who helped him. However when ever his stress level is high it begins to flares up.

As a retired school nurse, I have seen how well meds can work for kids. Your ex's reaction is pretty typical for many of the dad's I have seen. They sometimes feel that all the child needs is to "learn self control" or to run off the energy and they'll be fine. Just give him sometime to absorb all the new info.

We were paid in full yesterday and I keep checking my account online to see when the payment gets posted to the account and the money comes out. THEN I will feel better because then I can book excursions, etc. Also, I keep checking DCL reservation and it still says booked. I know that after they receive final payment it says something else, can't remember, but I'm waiting to see the change. Then I will get oh so vey excited!!!

We paid several months ago, to take advantage of the $2.00/£1.00 exchange rates, but on DCL it still just says booked. On the Dreams reservation it shows we've paid in full, but not on DCL. And although we paid through Dreams, I believe the payment is actually taken direct by DCL because that's what it showed up as on the credit card statement.

Does anyone know if it should definitely change to something else on the DCL reservation? I don't want to wait until reservation time to find there's a problem.

Thanks so much! That's EXACTLY what his dad says. I think it will eventually sink in. He seems to have to hear things many times from many different people (anybody but me) before he finally accepts. I truly believe he'll come around.

I called DCL this morning to ask about Palo tea for ladies only and for couples. They gave me a fax number and told me who's attention it should be faxed to. So I wrote a letter for each request and will fax them today. I sure hope they can accommodate us and that we get to do this all together.

Thanks to Angie and to Ted for helping me with this request. We'll see what happens.

At the first night show (Welcome Aboard) they usually announce how many of each. Yo ucan always ask the Cruise Director (I wonder who we will have??) and she/he will tell you!!

Don't quote me on this, my memory isn't what it used to be.....but I seem to recall on my last crusie that it changed after final payment. Maybe I was just dreaming????
