This gets you into the spa room called the "Rainforest" where there is steam rooms, heated lounge chairs, and showers - it is a nice relaxing place unless you have a couple come in fighting in the room - kinda spoils the mood

You were talking about flights to the port. We have booked flights through Jet Blue from Dulles to Orlando for $89. We're going down the night before. Also, my Dh and I will be in Chantilly the middle of Feb,(to the Intergem show) if you wanted to send a package or anything to your son, we would be happy to take it to Tech to him. The distance is bascially like going across town for us, about 25 mins.



My best news is that our cruise is now PAID!!! ...Vicki

I will book air tomorrow....I promise!! Daniel is coming home the first week of Feb along with 11 other members of the VA Tech bowling team!! Oh my where will I put all those kids (8 boys and 4 girls).

Thank you so much for the offer....so sweet of you!! What are you going to do with your car when you fly out? Do you want to leave it at my house...??Not even too sure how much it is to park at Dulles....we are so close we never park there.

Just thought I would introduce my DH's and my traveling buddies. Chewy Too has been traveling with us for several years now and Sadie joined the family last year. We use them as photo ops and then I come home and write books for my grandchildren about their travels. Those that have traveled with us before I am sure remember the couple carrying around the two Build-A-Bears .

I think mailing them out would be a BIG job but could be doable if each person who wanted them mailed sent a label with their address and/or maybe did the flat rate priority mail envelope for those who order quite a few.

on the December Cruise they were delivered to my house and I packaged them up with each person's name on the baggie with the number they requested and handed them out at the meet and were paid for then.

Yes Wendy did a great job on them - I am trying to find the post with the picture of them but the search is not working and I am having to go through the Decemeber meet thread one page at a time to find.

I am ahh say about 10 pages behind I was off being busy today. so if you want to do this that sounds good. I was just offering since I want one LOL. If you want help or to split the duties by all means let me know.

It's really not that bad... except my family thinks it snows up here year round... I live just south of the real Saratoga Springs NY and if it did snow that much... Disney would have had to put SSR next to Blizzard Beach!!!

Hi everybody, I have not bee on this site for a while. Frank took very ill again and we had to rush him back to the hospital. I was with him at 1pm in the afternoon when he started bleeding from his nose and mouth. We got him to the emergency room at the Rehab center and then we were going to transfer him back to the same hospital by ambulence. Well, there was no room at the hospital and they told us we had a 36 - 48 hour wait

Well we opted for a different hospital and by the time we got him there it was 1am .....12 hours after he took sick.

No one can tell us where all that blood came from....he needed to get 4 pints transfused into him.

Anyway, needless to say, it has been way too busy here. I just figured out I am 65 pages behind

Oh Lisa. Frank has had a horrendous few months hasn't he. What a bad situation with the hospital It sometimes happens here too.

You must be emotionally and physically drained by now. I hope Frank is improving now and you can take some rest.

It is too expensive to take smaller trips over, so 14 nights is the norm - here we are using the points up to make 17, but plans might change yet! Folk have longer vacations over here too than you all do usually, plus John is cutting down his hours and we can add days on. It's all good news apart from we are getting old!

OK....after the kiddies have been sent to the clubs for the evening....this is where we'll meet for a little adult time....

OK...It's ONE of the places we'll meet for adult time!

I've got MAJOR catching up to do.

Thanks Karen - I learned very early to "act" like everything was ok. While I love my father dearly we had many issues in our relationship, and wouldn't have understood anything. I learned to mask my feelings, and started self medicating myself w/ alcohol very early in life....made things bearable as I was numb alot. I learned also (later in life) that it's ok to feel what I feel when I feel it, and that I'm able to tell (luckily) when my life feels like it's spiraling out of control.

Having friends like I have here also makes it easy to be upbeat

I don't know the answer to this, but I swear she was on my Med cruise with us. EVERYONE....(except me) got 4 or 5 tags....it was so funny!!

I heard she was hanging around the Eastbound for a while....I guess we are not fun enough for her yet!!

Well, we can cope without her can't we?

So we can't also have a palo ressie on our own. If we are in the group thats all we get?

Oh no, I think I will have to cancel our dinner and perhaps brunch private ressies. I think John will want the odd couple meal.

Wow, it is many many years since I saw snow like that here. Even then we didn't have it up at the windows like that. Beautiful though.

doing yet another drive by post. you guys talk too much for me to keep up, I'm 15 pages behind. But for anyone who cares: we moved on from handwashing today. I can now quite clumsily take your blood pressure and your pulse. but not very well, I'd call for someone else to do it if I were you!

Oh I remember that well. I'm talking 40 years ago though. We had a 10 week introductory course, and one of the first things they did was allocate general cleaning jobs on a rota basis, and my first one was cleaning toilets at the training place. My mother nearly collapsed laughing!!!
