Hi Deb - several people had to do double takes, but it appears that everyone likes it. It is definately easier to deal w/. It was so funny when I washed my hair for the 1st time....luckily I remembered to use less shampoo but used too much conditioner and it was really funny trying to squeeze out my hair that wasn't there :rotfl:

as I was drying my hair this morning I thought of chopping it off and how much easier it would be to take care of!

wow Monica, you have been busy!!! You can come rearrange my furniture anytime! I need some new ideas!

Hi V - actually it was all Will...he was the one with the ideas :lmao: His decorator side came out. I have to do a little bit more cleaning up before I can take pics (my sister wants those). I can help with the moving part, but not too good w/ the ideas!

Hi Deb! Happy Birthday to Angel!

Is she staying off your legs?? How are the legs doing?

Don't worry about the weight gain....remember your body is going through changes that it's not used to....keep going w/ the Diettogo food and the exercise and you'll be back on track in no time!

Monica, the legs are still very badly scarred. They will be like that from now on. We wrap every couple of days just to keep the emema down and it works. Other than that, we're good....no open wounds, no leakage.

I would say you were a very productive girl this weekend.....what a busy little beaver. It's great being so organized. I remember my single days when I was in total contol of my house and everything had it's place. After living with John and the kids and grands all in the same house, I gave up on organization a long time ago. I hope to be able to clean out all the clutter at least one day, sooner rather than later.

Enjoy it while you can, it changes when you have a family underfoot.......evidence of life.

:grouphug: You are doing GREAT!! :thumbsup2 Remember also that muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are exercising that might make a weight difference. You should continue to slim down though. If your clothes are not fitting tighter it might be the exercise and additional muscle. I went to Curves 3 times a week for a year and actually gained weight, but lost inches. :)

Thanks Angie....I won't be defeated. I have two sizes to go down and 3 1/2 months to do it in. I'll get there no matter what. I love those dresses and that's great motivation. You're right about the muscles weighing more than the fat....as long as the clothes are loose we don't care about the weight!

John,

What did your friend Stevey say today? Just heard a blurb about new way to rent movies...ya ya, waiting....unless they are coming to me via the wind, I'm sticking with my blockbuster.com

Kaylee,

Good luck. What a pain, I hope you can get your credits and have a fun girls night out with V. Paul says huh??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: not to worry I've got him with me and under control.

Thanks Nan.

I meant to ask here what people thought of the new apple stuff. Besides size is there anything great about the macbook air that makes it better than a macbook? It seems to be 700-800 more than the traditional macbook.

I'll post my words of wisdom later for anyone who gives a hoot. Not enough time right now.

Hey Monica, way to go doing three miles on the bike. You're going to look great by the time we go on this cruise. I can't wait to see all of us taking our picture together.....speaking of which, Lisa/G520 emailed me a copy of her picture with the DISers on the secret deck 7. WOW did it look great! All you saw was the ocean behind them and the sky above them. I cast my vote to do it there if at all possible. I think everyone will like the look!

. . . I did 3 miles on the bike last night . . .
That's terrific.

I have trouble squeezing in exercise during the week, but this morning we walked four miles. I'm looking forward to walking on Deck 4 on sea days.

Woody

Today is a cold dreary wintery day outside and I'm taking Ray, DstepDad for the new comers, to the moseleum today. For those that don't know, mom passed this summer and was laid to rest in a moseleum in Bethlehem, PA. I hate being outside for any length of time on days like this, much less going to the moseleum with Ray on a day like today. Usually it's sunny and bright and I don't mind as much. Oh well, gotta do it, no matter what the weather. It's my job to take him once a week and we go every Wed afternoon now.

V and Deb - it has taken me a looooooooooooong time to be able to get to where I am today. I've been dealing w/ depression (like Carol) since I was 12yo, and have had a really bad year w/ that this year (worst year to date). Drs have been playing w/ different meds since March, and it appears I'm FINALLY on something that is working. :yay: It was so bad earlier this year that even the parks and scrapbooking didn't hold any joy for me and I couldn't do either one (I'm still struggling w/ the scrapbooking).

Until about 2-3 weeks ago everything was just too overwhelming...I'd have thoughts of what I wanted to do, but couldn't get any of it done. GP gave me a hard time (sort of) cuz I have the stationary bike in my living room facing the tv and yet I couldn't get on it....he did say that it's like a catch 22 as exercise would help the depression, but the depression wouldn't let me get on the bike.

I'm just glad that I'm able to tackle little things now....and if it wasn't for Will I can tell you the furniture would have stayed where it was!

4 miles! That's fantastic! I'm looking forward to walking on Deck 4 too!

I just sent my DH an email (he is in bed already) telling him that I promise not to buy anything unless it is emergency (car breaks down) but we NEED to go on this cruise!! . . .
That's willpower!

Last weekend, Mrs. Woody NEEDED to get a compact photo printer for this cruise. The printer is tiny -- smaller than a stack of five DVD cases -- and prints high quality 4x6 prints. Amazing.

Woody

in my research last night, I was studying the excursions. I sure wish they had a nice printout that listed all the info side by side....but,

In PV - as far as DCL excursions go..this is what we are limited to with our age group:
Paradies Beach Adventure $178
Las Caletas Hideaway $268
Pirate Boat Sail and Snorkel $270
PV City Tour $120
Historic Towns and Tequila Making $158

I really want to go to Chico's Paradise and a beach...the Las Calentas looks great too. John is hesitant to rent a jeep and go off on our own. But I am working on that. I am so sure the girls would love the historic tour and the complimentary shots of tequila. IDK....I have read now that you can't get to Las Caletas without doing a tour...I am not sure if that is true.

Monica, I am glad you are doing better and great job on the bike!

4 miles! That's fantastic! I'm looking forward to walking on Deck 4 too!
It took 1 hour 15 minutes to walk four miles, as we had to wait for some traffic lights.

The walks at home and onboard always seem much shorter when you have someone to talk to. I hope to walk with you.

Woody

I agree, walking alone seems to take forever!! If you have someone with you, the time flies!

and what the heck is a sparkling soda? All the tours are listing a sparkling soda....is that different than a reg coke?

CHEERS to you then knowing how much harder it is for you than for most and accomplishing all that you have......what an inspiration you are!!! You continue to push forward.....it's so worthwhile! And bless Will for being such a great pal and helping out. Thank goodness for the right meds to help too. You're on your way and you're doing great! Keep it up!

I'm just glad that I'm able to tackle little things now....and if it wasn't for Will I can tell you the furniture would have stayed where it was!

You GO GIRL!!!

Deb - I am truly blessed to have a great friend like Will and a place like this with new family who supports each other through good and bad :lovestruc :grouphug:
