Please post here when you all have selected a time and place. I may be able to build a business trip around it...so I'm just waiting to see where/when you choose!

.

I Want to go on your business trips!!!! I was thinking of you when I was at the PGA tournament in Maui and the press was all zipping around on their carts...and then I thought of your photo with Donny. I want your job!! Lisa

quit touching me, I'm not touching you, stop it, MOMMMMMMMMMMM....Oh the wonder years. When will they end. Just kidding. I know this time is so sweet and gone so fast. I'm just sucking the marrow from them now while they are here. Hence the reason for this cruise.

Bad news, Paul just lost a big client. They hired an in house GC. It's not really a suprise, but a pisser none the less. Small company Paul has worked for them for 3 years, negogiated all contracts (150+) to signature close and since the last quarter when they brought in a new CEO he has been walking on eggshells over this. It just sucks sometimes to work with companies when they are small and they need your flexiblity (that means our payments not always timely in the lean cash times for them) and now that they are bigger they boot you out. Paul is having lunch with the old CEO (now chairman) tomorrow, but the deal is done, so not much to say but sorry :confused3 your screwed.

Vent over. Time to figure out where to get some more billing for my DH....Fortunately he just got 2 new clients yesterday but they are small one shot deals, not monthly contract review like the other one. Oh well...
Sounds like our DHs do very similar law...did we know that? My DH does a lot of contracts, IP stuff. It is stressful isn't it?? I hate not quite knowing what will be billed month to month. My OCD doesn't do well with it. Lisa

I have mobility issues also, so I know what you are talking about. I just wish I had started cruising before this disease got so bad. I push myself to the limit though. In my younger days I would have loved that zip line. :thumbsup2 It sure does look like a lot of fun.

So for those of you, who are putting it off and are able to do this excursion, do it, you never know what tomorrow holds. Did any of you see Paula Dean do the zip line on her vacation show? Was it St. Lucia? She was so funny.

YES!!!

I was going to post on here (and maybe I did... blond moment...) that if Paula can do it, I can do it!!! I think I have a few years "under" her as well as a couple of pounds "under" her, so I figure I should give it a whirl!!!

Karen

Nan - sorry to hear about DH's client. The way things are closing up here has me a bit worried!

Kaylee, I would book Palo first - unless there is some exclusive excursion or spa treatment you want.

What night is everyone doing Palo? and brunch?
Usually we have a DIS coordinator who can tell us our rotation and what not!

I think Noel was handling the dinners and Deb the brunches...but I'm sure someone will answer with more "authority" than I!

My boys are also in 4th grade and 2nd grade, so that would be perfect. I know DS10 started to use the littleshipofthieves site on the yahoo groups when it was first started, but I don't know if it's still going. I know DS10 hasn't been on it in a long time. Send me a pm.
I will! The yahoo group sounds great too.

hi! my wife is making me say something - so "hello". I honestly don't know what to say on these things. So I look forward to meeting you all as I feel like I know you all like my own family because of my wife's non-stop reading and updating me.

Take care - I'm not sure if or when I'll write again.

paul
Paul! You are almost as talkative as my DH here...wait, you are more talkative! Somehow I think you two will still have a lot to talk about!
Kaylee and anyone else who wants to join the kids group, I have been upgraded and can now add people to the kids yahoo group.

Kaylee, I added you & jaide :goodvibes

If you want to join pm me your email along with your child's email addresses and I'll add ya to the group.

Once the 90 day date is hit I'll work on some conversations with the kids to get them introduced to each other. Anyone what anything specific let me know. :surfweb: I'll be on it.
I'll PM you - that sounds great! Lisa

GOOD-NIGHT!

Hi Folks, for all of you planning trips to DL, here is our visitors list of good restaurants. The ones on this list are kid friendly. Our DD is 4.5, but is a excellent restaurant kid. She could easily eat at a rest. like Palo, but not all kids are alike, so I noted which ones are better for girls and boys. DL does not have DDE or Dining plan, but annual passes will give you a discount almost everywhere. Often the passes are a better deal than the daily rate.

WOW!!!:cheer2:

Excellent list!!:thumbsup2

Thank you so much!! We have been there many times (No Cal) but this is SO helpful.:worship:

Our favorite is Napa Rose at the Grand Californian. Our 12 almost 13 year old loves it as well.

Karen

Ok, my dgs has a shool project that I could use help from some of you. They are studying maps and have a gingerbread man that has run away. His teacher would like people from all over to send in postcards saying that they saw him near their house. They will then locate and post where he was seen. If anybody is willing to send a postcard please let me know and I will pm you the address. They need the name of the city and state or country.

We did this in DD's second grade!! It was so fun.

Will send you a Pm.

Karen

Thanks for the well wishes. I just got a call from DH and he closed a small round of financing for another client, so that is good news. Maybe he just need to drop off this old client to move towards other things. Looking for the silver lining here.:rolleyes1

When a door closes... a window opens!!!

Always good to look at the bright side and the silver lining!!

Karen

OK, going to go and try to watch a stream of the MacWorld keynote.

I know what was announced, just like to see Steve do it and immerse myself in the reality distortion field.

Ohmygosh... He was dressed so... THE SAME AS ALWAYS!!! :rolleyes1

What did I say yesterday... black turtleneck and jeans!!!!:scared1:

He also seemed a bit more lack luster than usual... I know, I know...

paul

Hi Paul. My husband posted once but he is just not a forum kind of guy!!! He leaves it all to me and just takes the important info - and then promptly forgets it.:lmao:

Seems like DS10 gets annoyed when DS6 is BREATHING.

What is it with siblings? :confused3 Seems they are the same the world over. I'm surprised they reach adulthood.:lmao:

Wil has taken to making noise all the time lately, just to annoy his sister. Works like a charm everytime she turns to him and says "SHUT UP" and then she gets in trouble for talking so unkindly to her brother. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: The Master at getting his sister mad and in trouble...Wilson....

That must be so satisfying for Wilson.:rotfl:

Working for yourself is always risky. DH is a freelancer with NBC. Because of the writers' strike, the network has lost lots of ad revenue. The first week of Dec., they announced that absolutely no freelancers could be hired until the first of the year because they were out of money. :headache: DH had planned on working most of that time because of the caucus here in Iowa. He had turned down other work because he was planning on being so busy. The life of a freelancer is so up & down. Although with all the factory closings that have been happening lately, I guess working a "secure" job with a company isn't anymore secure than being self-employed.

At least his production company had a good month, so the cruise was saved. December was kind of a make-or-break month for us. I was reeaallllly thinking we shouldn't be spending this amount of money on a vacation, but DH prevailed and we are definitely going. :thumbsup2

That was a blow. Glad things were good enough for the company and your cruise is saved.

So many vacations, so little time!! :lmao:

Too true, and we have one booked for the Canary Islands in September too. John is cutting down his hours and wants to take more vacations.

Ok, I had a HORRIBLE day today (leaving on Th for a seminar in Tampa and was told today they don't have my registration and the seminar is sold out:headache:  I think I have things figured out but I won't know for sure until tomorrow. Any pixie dust that it all works out will be greatly appreciated, otherwise it will be a vacation for me when I really can't afford one, don't need one and can't get the credit I needed to get. On a side note, I get to meet V on Friday night :cool1: Girls night at a bar I think:dance3: )....

but THANK YOU...John1 for the post about Bobby, gave me a great laugh when it was needed and
Nan, thank Paul for me...his post cracked me up, but more than that was his location he listed as "with Nan" thought that was so cute!:thumbsup2

Oh I hope this is sorted for you.

Kaylee,

Ditto on the sick, fatigued and crying JAG!!! DH (who is as much of a Disney Fantatic as I) said, we will do whatever we can to go on this trip!!! :thumbsup2

Again, we probably won't do any other big trips or cruises for a while.

We will do whatever it takes... mostly because we want to spend 2 weeks with this crew!!!

Karen

Ditto.:grouphug:

Good morning Marilyn!!

Off to bed in a couple...:cloud9:

Hope your are having another lovely day!!:hippie:

Karen

Thanks Karen, should be a good day. Going to make an effort and get back to the gym and then sick visiting this afternoon.

Have a good sleep.

Lisa/LiserAnn I just tried sending you a PM and it would not let me. The message I got was that you were not allowing to receive PMs. I don't understand, but you might want to look into it.

Molly already saw the Gingerbread Man in our driveway. My cranky son will not play. He refused to believe he was there. Not to worry, Molly and I can live in our own little world together. :rolleyes1

Thank you so much!

Hi, I have been with you guys since the start. I try to keep up, but have only read about a third of what has been written. I'm not much for posting, its hard to know what to say. Deb's (EllaEnchanted) PM requesting information had peeked my interest in what the group might be saying, so I have been checking out the thread more often and I must say that thread has become a lot more user friendly with more information being brought out. I don't know if it because we are getting close to the 90 day mark or what. I do appreciate the information that is being passed around, since even though we have been on the Magic before, we have never been to California and Disneyland. We are truly going to enjoy this trip.
