YES

Count us as another no too if that were the case. She would probably suggest counseling and deep intervention.

I thought about it a lot . . . but NO WAY are we canceling, even if it is the last cruise for a long time.

I had the breakdown last week....I think part of it was pure fatigue from Taylor and myself being sick and not sleeping, but...sat there crying telling Scott that we probably couldn't afford the cruise and we should consider cancelling. He told me no way that we were going and we were going to have the time of our lives! (for my "non-disney" DH that was awesome!)

I don't think so . . .

Do any of you guys know who the "Hearty Boys" are from the Food Network? They are doing a cooking class tomorrow night at our cooking school (at one of our stores) and I am trying to drum up attendees - $75 a pop. We have not had a great response.

I roped Amy into going - sounds like fun, but most of our classes are only $35 which is probably why this one is having trouble.

I have watched the Hearty Boys before and like them. I would come with you if I live closer. Have lots of fun and let us know about your experience!:cool1:

Good Morning All from cold Maryland. I haven't gotten caught up from last night yet. :guilty:

I ordered some neon green luggage straps, handle wraps, ID tags and locks from AAA this morning. With the neon green duct tape stripe on our black luggage it should be pretty obvious we are DIser's and hopefully which luggage is ours.

Neighbors borrowed some of our luggage last year the dad thought our neon green duct tape was a hoot, until he went to luggage claim. He came back a convert.

On a weirder note, I noticed that a few had said their cruise folder is purple.:scared: Our's was until I had to expand to a three ring notebook.

Has Birkner, Aunty Brat and I'm sure there are others, but right now my brain is to cold, dropped out of the cruise?

I think many of us have probably had this struggle within....I kept mentioning it to DH - about the cost, but he was pretty adamant we go.
Now, I look at it this way, yes, it may be a bit of a stretch and we may have to cut back on other things, but right now, we can do it...and it's a great opportunity to visit places we haven't been and spend family time together. I know soon enough my girls will be grown and wanting us to drop them off blocks away from school so no on sees their uncool parents (although, I can never imagine being uncool!).
And knowing our friends are going to be with us, makes it even better!

Is it a bad thing to be watching "Poseidon" while browsing here?? ;)

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I'm pretty sure that is against the official cruising rules... not as much as watching it onboard though!

Thanks for the support, you hit the nail on the head, I'm frustrated that the booze is in control of our lives. I'm going to look on the site now to find something for Tues or Thurs. of this week.

I'm here for you!

Hi everyone! We are still on the waiting list for the accessible one bedroom suite on the 8th deck. We have the accessible family room on deck 7, and that's the same as we had on the transatlanic, but we sure would like to have the other one! Also, good news, our son, Michael is going to come with us if he can get a stateroom.

Connie, nice to see you over here, Rufustee has all the accessible rooms all tied up, but I'm sure she'd be willing to share since she has such a large group!:rotfl2:

Say Hi to Michael, he did flubber with Anna and I.

I woke up this am to John's alarm going off at 4:30....he's off today so he just turned it off, but I got up and moved to the couch. My throat was hurting so I wanted to take some Advil....as I sat there, I could have sworn I heard three gunshots, from two different sounding guns. Two fired first and then one fired almost in retaliation, it seemed. I don't think you can hallucinate on Advil can you?
It was very odd...

No, unless you took 12!

We're off to DL today. And very excited it's the Australian Open time!

Have fun at DL!

Deb - you mentioned we'd be missing shows....are these going to be new? Are we out of shows for the season with the writer's strike? That's two weeks worth of shows.....hmmmm......

Can we talk about TAs again? Is there anyone besides Costco and DU who offers a good sized OBC or rebate? I used Costco earlier this year and had no trouble but would rather have OBC for this cruise. DU was no help getting us reservations for this cruise so I'm not crazy about switching over to them, but my wallet might need me to get over it.

thanks

Venetia,

The boxes I shipped in November wher 19x14x16. I know the size, because it is my 12 bottle wine shipper!!

No problem with our box of pirate stuff and Fish extender goodies, but we were the last week that they allowed wine to be shipped to the ship:mad:

Karen
OK now that seems more resonable. I can see how some folks could send huge boxes, but 12x12x6 is really small.

All I know is I have to get a picture of bobby and taylor together for her scrapbook.

So I have some goals for this cruise....I plan to make all the parties! I didn't get up to the sailaway...at dinner too later. Missed Pirate night...was sick and missed the midnight buffet...just plain old tired.

Also, anyone out there like to go to the adult bar after 10pm. They have games and music. I like going down there..I won a couple games last time (hint..i'm a good partner). I need company, just can't go on my own. So if anyone is a late bird like me, just let me know.
My dd loves to hang in kids club until midnight, so it's all good.

Night All..
Steph

Hey Steph,
I just had to chime in and say I am with you at the adult bar! My ex is wanting to spend a lot of time with the kids on this trip so I will be looking for things to do. My kids are younger 3 & 6 but they'll be taken care of!!!
Jolene

Thanks for the information regarding "pm problem", which clearly is not a problem. I will start posting our questions to build up to the limit for pm's.

This is my motivation for doing all kinds of fun stuff while the kids are young. I know soon enough I will not be as cool as I am now! I just hope all these great memories remind my kids how cool I USED to be.

Now on top of everything else, Daniel left today to go back to Tech :sad2:

It seems like just yesterday he got home. I had a whole month with him. But between him going to bowling tournaments, orange bowl, Frank being sick and work...I feel like I hardly saw him.

I started to cry today and then I thought of this awesome trip WE are going to take and I stopped!!

He left at 11 so he should be back in his dorm about 4pm....hopefully the snow will wait till he gets back as he drove.

For you guys with little children....hold them tight...it just goes way too fast. And all of a sudden they are adults and on their own.

I just decided to post another picture of him for fun.

Daniel is SO handsome! I know you're sad that he's gone, on top of everything else going on in your life right now, but just try to hold onto the thought that you'll have 15 days of uninterrupted wonderful time with him very soon! :goodvibes

Popping in to say a quick hello while the boss is at lunch! No time to read the 41 pages yet that I'm behind, but am very excited about doing so as soon as possible! :goodvibes

Going through major struggles with Tyler's dad because he's decided he will absolutely not allow meds for Tyler because he's been reading statistics. I don't every believe any research study because our Health professor told us to "follow the money" and you'll see why the results are portrayed the way they are. I believe they're one-sided and whoever publishes a study has their own agenda. If you want to find stats on a particular viewpoint, you can find just about anything if you look for it. Anyway, I've basically told him I'm not willing to argue about it right now because life it too stressful already and all I'm asking is for him to agree to do whatever the doctor recommends, and I'll do the same, no matter what she says, because after all, she's the professional....not us.

OK...that's my update. Have to get back to work. Won't be able to go anywhere with internet tonight because we have lots of running around to do and have to go vote. Was too busy last night too. :guilty:

I made Sailaway and the Pirate Night fireworks but I missed the dessert Buffets at midnight due to falling asleep for what was going to be a short nap:lmao:

This Cruise I would like to actually see the adult night clubs when not meeting for an excursion as by the time we would get back from dinner we were exhausted. So this cruise I plan on having one or two cups of coffee mid day to keep me going :rotfl:

I am a wealth of useless information so maybe we can get a small group going to the clubs!
