do you recommend to book Perla's on your own? How much is the cab ride there? What time do you think is a good show and what else in PV do you recommend?:confused3

That's what I was wondering. Over on cruise critic I read you can pay $3 and watch it on the steps but you're not assured a good view. You can go in La Perla and there are different prices depending on what you want (food/drinks). I think the cheapest was $14.50/pp for 2 drinks and chips. Wonder what the kids cost would be? I think the cab was either $10 or $12, can't remember.

did we decide that the closest car rental agency to the ports will be closed I know I've read something about this, but can't remember! and is dcl going to do shuttles to the airport in that case?

well, we offically have airline tickets to and fro--for the low low price of $220a person. thank you southwest!!!

the zipline touris very intriguing....

btw have you thread on the cruise board aboiut aca?

I emailed them and they said you can pay prior to arrival as well as make your reservation. I just emailed back about the kids prices.

Zip Line Info:

I have been speaking with a rep from the company that DCL is going to use. His opinion was the Outdoor Adventure on in PV is the best, followed by the Canopy Tour in Cabo and last the Canopy tour in PV. The OA one has some rapelling and a mule ride as well as zip lines. The Canopy one in Cabo has the rapelling and such as well. We are still trying to decide which one we will do, but we are doing one of the 2. The Cabo one has this one picture on it that freaks me out completely and I can see myself sitting there holding everyone up!!!!!:scared1: But, I will do a zip tour:cool1:

Well I am sure I couldn't do any rappelling so I guess that would just leave the canopy tour in PV.

how long is the show and is it run all day?
What's so special about the front row?:confused3

It runs several times a day and is about 40ish minutes. HOWEVER, I think it is 'dark' on Monday....but maybe that's just in the winter. Actually, the front row could be scary for little kids when Jafar does that 'transformation' at the end. So if you want the front, sit a bit more to the (your) right so it won't happen right in front of you.

Marilyn...rappelling isn't any harder than doing a zip tour so don't count yourself out just because of that! You can do it!! :cool1:

Well, I'm glad they spelled that out. Now that I know they are getting $5, I can go from there on what additional I want to give.

....back to ketchup.....

We did get clarification on this from PJ in Dec. That $5 is split between 10 servers. So, each server gets 50 cents for every single person that is served in Palo. I don't know how many it will seat each night.

gydell, have you been to Chico's Paradise or rented a car in PV?

Where and what is Chico's Paradise? No we do not rent cars in Mexico as most places have little or no parking. We have known people that do. The driving there is quite adventurous! Like you turn left from the far right lane!

Gydell, was it you who said which of the 2 excursions to see the divers in Acapulco would be the best one? Can you remind me?

I think we will do that one and something in Cabo. Other than those we will just walk off the ship in Aruba and Puerta Vallarta. Well, I am still pondering a zip line, but in all honesty I don't think that will happen!!!

Hi Granmaz

My friend back now from Cruise in Caribbean with Princess Emerald? They had a good times but very rough sea. She was ill on first day. Also, she was telling me that not good organised with meals. Lots of people complained about it. Anyway, she was telling me today about Aruba that lots of shop there and lots of lovely jewellery, diamond half price from our home. She showed me the silver ring with tiny three diamonds look lovely ring cost 80 pounds.

Now I was reading another forum that the couple showed their photos of 2005 Panama Canal, I thought Oh I have a look at the photos.

Yes, I jumped as man was carrying the SNAKE:scared1: :scared1: I questioned back and asked him where about? He said it was in Cabo on right side as donation 1 dollar for it.:scared1: I have to avoid it when I come off the ship. Shall I run fast?? :lmao:

Anyway, if you want to wear lime tee shirt, I saw my work have it a new tee shirt only 5 pounds. Just a thought to let you know. I think I buy it.

The cabs all do tours of the town. You can bargain with them on prices. We usually get 4 hours for 4 for about $80. They take you to the same places as the big tours. We always tell them that we want no shopping since we don't need them for this. Be sure and get an air conditioned car if you need air. Not all cabs are air conditioned.

Everyone be warned - DO NOT GO TO THE FLEA MARKET without a cab driver or someone that knows Aca with you. It is not a safe area!

Sorry another stupid question? which one?

I should have said the one in Acapulco. The one in PV is safe and much larger.

Oh right I got it and I am learning what part for Acapulco as we never been Mexico before. As it is our first time visit Acapulco.

Any thing else to warning us?

What is the best thing to do in Acapulco? I fancy shopping but still look at excrusion, still have not decide what to do.

I think my husband and his friend want to play golf. I fancy shopping but dont know how safe to go there on our own or book with dcl?

What kind of shopping? There is a mall, 2 Super Walmarts, lots of independent shops with jewelry and gifts. A nice store is next to the cliff divers.

Hope Jenna's birthday was great - I'm sure she loved the tickets. I remember seeing that photo of you and if I had your body, I wouldn't mind my DH posting!! You looked great. Now, back to my diet...tomorrow!

That was a very nice thing to say - thank you! I might not think it is necessarily true, but you made my day.:flower3:
