Thanks, I used to get the postcards in the mail, but don't anynore:sad1: Maybe they think Burlington is too far away from me! Any really good deals there that would make it worth the trip? My girlfriend lives in Arlington, so i could head up and visit and then just "happen" by the store! Otherwise, I might wait until it hits Totem Lake.

Thanks for the info.:)

They have a lot of really good stuff this time. Lots of pirate stuff, the usual tee shirts, etc. We bought some nice Grumpy jackets for $20 and also some very nice leather like desk accessories. They said they were expecting a new shippment soon, so I'm going to have to go back before too long!

Ok - some help needed for the bracelets!

The place I'm looking at has a minimum order of 250/size!! So, unless someone has another company I can look into, it looks like we'd have to go w/ the medium size....(as this is the majority of sizes needed)

We have 2 options for styles - please let me know which one you'd prefer, and we'll go with majority rules..

1. http://goodsforgiving.com/w-dc.html (color light green)
2. http://goodsforgiving.com/w-p.html (light green band color, either white or black for the Text color)

Want to make sure this is ok for the bracelets....please give me your opinions.

Side 1 - either:
(skull/crossbones) 5/10-5/25/2008 (skull/crossbones) OR
(skull/crossbones) May 10-25, 2008 (skull/crossbones)

Any thoughts??????

(there are some bands on sale but look like just 1 size too, and colors aren't what we'd want).

Hi Monica
I've keep forgetting to post to put myself on the list for 4 bracelets/medium; I vote for the first one.

Went looking for a pic of our wrist bands (I know I TOOK some)...couldn't find it, but did find a picture from another DIS cruise. These are neon green with glow in the dark fill in the letters.

HOWEVER!!! I LOVE the DISNEY FONT that one of those other sites offers. :thumbsup2 Couldn't find that they offered glow in the dark fill, but a pirate skull with the Disney font would be great, I'm thinking.

I was on that cruise and had purchased 4 of the band. They were nice, and glowed in the dark.

The fish extenders arrived today. They're so cute! The pictures don't do them justice. Thank you so much for all of your hard work.

Just back from our EOY Manager's dinner at the Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain. What an awesome resort! We ate outdoors at sunset (80 degrees at 5pm). The terrace we were seated overlooked Mummy Mountain forward and Camelback Mountain behind us. It was a very nice event.

Oh man! I STILL haven't been there yet. We were going to go last time big sister was in town, but decided not to for some reason (already had too many $$$ meals out or too lazy to get gussied up!). It's on my 'must do' list ::yes::

GOT MY FISH EXTENDER. :cool1: Carol, you do beautiful work! Now hopefully I won't trash it trying to decorate it.

Time to grab my book (almost done!), a cup of hot chocolate and mosey into the bedroom....nighty-night all.

Living in the SF bay area, we get a few good ones to...

Female (like Tamale in sound)
Sequoia
Bark
Sierra (very popular in my daughters age group - 12)
Aqua

Hope I'm not offending anyone with kids with these names...;)

Karen

Ok, if you are easily offended please skim through this. We had a vietnamese kid in our school. really nice, but, and I am totally serious, his name was phook phat dong. He went by phat because he was really skinny.

I'm absolutely in love with this area and it's my goal to retire there someday. I lived and worked for about 5 months in 1990 at Signal Mountain Lodge in Moran, which is just South of Yellowstone. No way to describe it but unbelievable. Here's a link where you can find some pics that will blow your socks off! http://foreverlodging.com/lodging.cfm?PropertyKey=69

I live 3 hours away. We go there a lot. Love it! And can get there very easily.

NO WAY!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

My turn :offtopic:

the kids are in deep doo doo tonight...

Molly with the help from little brother Wilson worked on her poster for school about no bullying..."expect respect" drew with permanate markers on the poster paper WITHOUT any thing under it....bleed thru on the hardwood (just refinished floors)

DH is on his hands and knees with Magic Easers, OFF, Goo be gone, hairspray and lots of elbow grease trying to get the stain out of the floor.

This will be known as the "permanate marker incident" :crazy2:

send forgiveness prayers for my children....

:worship: mom & dad we are soooooo sorry

how come they never believe us as parents? Oh yeah, I remember because we know it all as kids right???

:grouphug: Your story made me sick to my stomach. Those beautiful floors!

Oh my gosh! I'm so jealous! After my few months out there, I made a couple trips back to visit and knew I belonged in the area permanently. I was all set on moving somewhere out there after graduating from law school. Then I had Tyler and everything changed. Since I'm not with his dad, I'd never move so far away and take him away from his dad. Just a speed bump....I wouldn't trade having him for the world! Now my plan is to move out that way when I retire. UNLESS I win the $300-ish million lotto this week----then I'd move us out there and pay for his dad and stepmom to move with us! :rotfl2:

Monica,

The company I used last year let me get different sizes. It was reminderband.com.

I have a group of people that want to join a team but no team leader! Anyone?? It will be fun! And if anyone emailed me and is willing to be the leader, please let me know. I'm waiting to set another team until we have a leader! Also, I have one name so far:
May 12: Vino Veritas. What a great name!

We have teams for:
May 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, and 19.

If we want all the days covered, we need 9 more leaders! Also, if any "one" person wants to take a day, just let me know.

I think someone asked a question about whether the presents were surprises: YES! I will keep them a secret and only devulge what I need to in order to make sure no one duplicates.

Thanks!
Lisa

My typing is never very good.....very, very fast ....but never very accurate.
Today, while fixing my lunch, I cut off the top of my finger...left hand middle finger......the huge bandage makes my typing even worse.
OUCH!!

Ouch! Hope it feels better soon. Lisa

Here's the company most of the DIS groups have used:

http://www.reminderband.com/

They do orders in increments of 20, have three sizes. The bands in green (lime-ish) with glow in the dark letter fill are about $2.00 each.

Mine were really cheap! I have no idea why! They glowed in the dark and everything! Monica, if they are this expensive, let me call and maybe they give a local discount or something.

Kim

Oh my gosh! Ummm......SCARY!

I'm sorry, but I'm picturing a cartoon with a little hamster running back and forth like crazy, dodging bowling balls! :rotfl2:

I think that's about what he was, a scurrying little hampster! :lmao: A tired hampster by the end of the night! He will like that.

I lost all my pictures in the transition, so I will go check the old thread and see if I can find it there.

Kim

OK, on the last cruise, I did a lot of proof reading and spell-checking of other's posts - almost to distraction. I quit after a while, but some are just too good to pass up.

Re-read your post that I quoted . . . verrrrry carefully.

:rotfl: :rotfl: I can't tell you how many times I have quickly edited my posts, knowing that John1 would be reading it! :rotfl:

I laughed! Had to look back at the post cause I was lost too, but funny. Of course, I am the one with the directional problem, so who am I to talk!
