Ya'll will be sick of me...but I just had to save it. O.K. now I can leave the house and know I did my part for our team!

At this point, I have 38 people that expressed interest in riding the hummerzine to port. I think almost everyone will be either at the hyatt or arriving that am to mco.

I know there was mention of doing the van instead, as it might be cheaper and hold more people. I would really love to surprise my dd's with the hummerzine and think I would stick with that. If others want to hop out now and go for a luxury van...just let me know. Nothing is reserved yet.

Here is the breakdown that I have so far...let me know if I missed anyone or got anything wrong. I thought about putting all kid families in 1, but there were too many so I just randomly split people up, based on when I heard from them....

limo A
fourmcds 4
birkner 2
liserann 4
mexicanM 3
tiggerhappy 2
been2 marc 2
kymma 2

limo B
clynne 4
nskjerven 4
tammyalph 3
granmaz 2
lwilliam 2
ukangel 2
tigger 1221 2

with this breakdown, it is 19 people per limo and works out to be about 21.00 pp plus tip. I think that might be a better deal than most transfers to the port. I was going to call them and ask about their cancellation policy and see if I could reserve them for the am and then we could finalize names per limo based on departure time later. was thinking we could have one leave at 9 and the other leave at 10, unless everyone can make the 9 then we could just follow eachother there! would a 9 departure be too early (with the grocery stop) to arrive at the port?

That sounds great! I'd prefer to stick to the Hummerzine too if we can as it would be such a treat!:) (one big kid here)

well done on the pirate: save!;)

I for one am quite happy with our post count!:) It's quality not quantity that counts!!! Tell them to stay over their side of the canal!pirate:

AMEN

I think this is the wrong strategy....I still think we should invite them over to get the 00000's I think we really win if we invite them over and not care about ours.....and then steal their's.....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just a quick question that has been on my mind.

Just wonder how many "Parrot Heads" might be in this group?:confused3

If you have no idea what a "parrot Head" is do not worry, however you may be one before this cruise is over.

Doug

I love Jimmy Buffett! I've seen him in concert 3 times. I was supposed to go to the Orlando show a few weeks back, but I was very sick. I haven't been sick in years and I had to come down with the flu the week of Buffett!!! I was not happy.

I love all the suggestions for books and authors. I belong to a book club, so I am usually reading whatever the club has picked, currently "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham, although I haven't started it yet. We just finished "Keeping Faith" by Jodi Picoult (sp?), which I liked, but not as much as "My Sister's Keeper." Anyway, I seem to be the oddball in my book club because I seem to keep picking unusual books that no one else really "gets" or likes. My recent picks were "Wicked" and "The Time Traveller's Wife" (which I really, really liked). The reaction from most of my club was "it was weird" or "I don't read science fiction." Whatever. I thought the point of a book club was to expand your horizons a bit and flex those brain muscles. I'm glad to see such a wide array of interests here, and I have lots of new books to add to my must-read list.

"My Sister's Keeper" was good, it made me cry though. "The Innocecnt Man" is probably the best book I've ever read. I'm a huge Grisham fan and when that book came out I took 2 days off and sat at the beach and read it. This book really made me cry though. I didn't know the story ahead of time, and it really sickened me that this happened in our country. There's another book written about this called "The Dreams of Ada." Grisham references it several times in his book. It was written years ago, but was put back out when Grisham wrote his book. You should read it when you finish "The Innocent Man." It's not quite as good, but still worth reading.

Thank You!!

Off to Cheesescake Factory for Dinner!! My first dinner out since I started my diet 2nd week of Jan!!

I love Cheesecake Factory...I hope can find something not a million calories!!

is it even possible to get "caught up on scrapbooks?" :rotfl2: DH told me that we were going to pack up all my scrapbooking stuff today and he was going to take over my room as the house office! :sad2: I told him, I still scrapbook, and I think he actually had to hold himself up from falling over laughing.:lmao: Really though, i will scrapbook sometime in 2007, you can't pack it all away! Just because the last thing I scrapped was in 2005 doesn't mean that my room needs to be packed up, does it?! :confused3

WHAT is your DH thinking?? How in the world can you keep up with it if it is out of sight? Does he not realize that merely having proper piles of photos and memory items is an indication of progress? Did Michelangelo paint the Sistene Chapel? I think not! Just plain unreasonable. Let me know if you want me to talk to him.
Lisa

Has anyone been to the "other" board recently??? They are making fun of us, saying how slow we are and can you believe they are only posting x pages per day or only on post # xxxx! :confused3 beware, they were planning a pirate: over here to increase our post totals!

:lmao: :lmao: They are so silly! :lmao:

Another book that I have sitting, waiting for me to find the time to read it is "The Memory Keepers Daughter" by Kim Edwards. I read a synopsis of it on my Borders email page and it sounded really good so I picked up at Sam's club. It sounds like a good "book club" book that might appeal to everyone.

Karen

Yes, we read that one a couple of months ago. It's a good read.

Excellent choice!!!:rolleyes1

Karen, Creative Memories consultant and wife of been2marceline

Just got back from scrapbooking. I actually got something accomplished today, so I feel good. I can't seem to find time to work on my scrapbooks at home, so I like going to crop sessions. I love Creative Memories. :thumbsup2

3 ipods for us...actually I have an ipod (not sure what kind, it lives in it's docking station/speakers in the kitchen, can't get used to the things in my ears.) and the kids have MP3s from Disney of course...Tink & Cars, got 'em at Target :cheer2:

off for drama class, skateboard class and cookie booths. Man I lead an exciting life huh? okay I'm reliving my youth thru my kids I admit it :goodvibes

catch ya later today :yay:

DS9 had drama class today, too. But that was it for kids' activities today, thankfully.

Lisa,

HP's are the only printers for us! We have four of them at home and two at the office!!

Karen-very good! Thank you for helping to support my husband's paycheck...keep it up. :lmao: Actually, I think HP makes the best printers, and I'm not coming from a biased place. Even before he worked at HP, I loved their printers! :thumbsup2

Ya'll will be sick of me...but I just had to save it. O.K. now I can leave the house and know I did my part for our team!

Nice Job! I was curious to see if us Easterners got it. Congrats, you protected it. :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend and be nice to our ship on the way over!

OK, now I have to get going on that book. You've intrigued me.
