Cindy (going on this cruise with me) showed him her adjustable shirt. Don't ask....I don't want to get kicked off here. :rotfl: And she also has lots of jokes that definitely not appropriate for the DIS, but we can share onboard!

I can imagine that must drive you crazy! We are always typing away on our Treo's or computers. When the GK's come to visit, you can see all 5 of us sitting on the bed typing on the 'puters. GK's love to play on Club Penguin and we must look like nuts!!

:surfweb:

I actually don't know how you can type on those things with the itty, bitty keyboard. I guess I just have giant, klutzy fingers cuz it drives me nuts. :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: You SAY your night was not so wild, but it's getting more interesting by the minute. ;)

Holly, are you going to get this blizzard they keep talking about? We've got freezing rain with the snow supposed to move in later this afternoon. Not too much snow, maybe 6 inches. The local weathermen are in full hype mode: WORST STORM OF THE YEAR!!

Like I said, we have this freezing rain and the roads are terrible, but DS9 is just insisting, in a very dramatic fashion, that he go to his drama class. Do I really need to send him to a class to teach him how to be MORE dramatic? Anywhooo, the class is about 30 miles away, so I wasn't going to let him go. Enter DH, who has a new toy: a truck with 4 wheel drive. So DH insists the roads aren't that bad (and he wants to play with his new toy), so they set off about an hour ago. I haven't gotten a call that they're in the ditch yet.

YUP! I'm a little worried too because we'll be in Detroit (about an hour and a half away) when it hits. Tyler and I have tickets to Sesame Street Live tomorrow. The storm is supposed to hit us late tonight, into the overnight hours and really get bad tomorrow morning. So I booked hotel room for us in Detroit for tonight so we'll already be there and will only have to drive home in it tomorrow afternoon instead of driving both ways in it.

:wizard: for safe travels for your DH & DS! Thank goodness they have 4wd!

So we are finishing our basement and I get my own craft room! We bought cabinets a couple of weekends ago and I decided the other night when I got my new scrapbook magazine that I need to paint the room a brighter color. Told DH this morning I needed to go to the mother ship to buy paint (that would be Home Depot). He asked what for. I said I am painting my new craft room.

He rolled :rolleyes1 his eyes, and just gave me that look :headache: Then said he wasn't helping to paint. I said no problem :wizard: I can do it! (Of course, I painted the upstairs bathroom, painting the guest room and did all that fancy stuff, etc. etc.).

So, headed to go buy some cool paint!

So cool. I would love to have a craft room. Now you've inspired me to get busy with my scrapbooking. I have photos to organize. I need to get some housework done, too. Bye all.

:wizard: for your travels as well. Hope you get home alright. Have fun.

It gets better! Cindy and I had gone to a speed dating event a couple of weeks ago and she brought a "template" for us women to show the potential dates. I still had mine in my purse. It's a little 12-inch tape measure. Again, not going to explain here....don't want to get banned. But I pulled it out of my purse and just held it up for the waiter with a questioning look....He totally understood and was laughing---speechless! :rotfl2:

Thanks! :goodvibes My little Toyota Echo doesn't do well in snow and ice, but if things look too ominous Sunday, I'll just rebook the hotel room for another night. Not good on the credit card, but a great excuse for missing work Monday!

I have small fingers but sometimes have to use the stylus as it can be hard to type on the Treo.

DH has a Blackberry, and I hate that thing. There's absolutely no getting away from work

I feel your pain! In addition to work calls, DH gets constant network updates. I think it's a phone call and he looks at the clock and says, No, that's just the something-or-other server going down for maintenance. Ten minutes later, that's just the something-or-other server coming back up.

On our cruise, I told him his Blackberry wouldn't work, so he turned it off and put it in the safe. Ahhh.....:)

I always like the way you think, Mr Woody! It's possible 'he who must not be named' will be ad DLR around that time too.

:confused3 You're meeting with the Devil? (reference to what some societies called Satan - "he who must not be named")

Lisa:

Thanks for posting the info about the teams. My team members and I are very excited about naming the team and finding just the right item.

As and aside, you remind me of myself as I tend to get excited, want to plan every minute and also have a Treo. I have actually have worn out one Treo and am on my second Treo!!

I guess we are a tekkie family as we never travel without 2 notebook computers, Sony and HP printers, cell and/or satellite phones, Tom Tom Navigation system (hooked to my Treo), video camera, Sony Camera and my DH's Nikon D2K camera.

I think if it came to a choice of leaving clothes or electronics behind, clothes would loose hands down!! One can always use a washer!!

DH is working on some patent issues this AM so I think it will be a typing on the computer day. At least it is not raining!!!

Noel

Treo 650 (but I do NOT use for email - just palm and phone), three ipods, Macbook (black), Canon digital rebel XT, Sony mini camcorder, here, and I thought I was a gadget geek!

DH has a Blackberry, and I hate that thing. There's absolutely no getting away from work, even on vacation. :headache: He's part of the Whitehouse press pool, so he gets constant, and I do mean constant, e-mail updates. Do I care what the president ate for lunch today or whether he did or did not go on a bike ride after church? NO! He'd better be careful on the cruise or it's going overboard. LOL. I shouldn't complain, his crazy work schedule is what is paying for our cruise. :rolleyes1

Sounds cool but a pain too. I HATE it when the phone rings over the weekend. Thank GOD I don't have to worry about a crackberry.

:confused3 Obviously being out of circulation for over 20 years, I have no idea what you are talking about. Is it related to Spanx? (which was a revelation to me on the last cruise - who knew?):scared1:

John, add a Canon S3IS and an ipod to the list for your cabin, lol. And who knows if the 12" Macbook comes out that too!

What were you doing last night??? We had our neighbors over for wine and martinis. DH makes a mean martini. We had Mango and Blue Raspberry last night. Mango was yummy. Blue Raspberry tasted kinda like a jolly rancher with a weird aftertaste. Not so great. We have the best neighbors. They are our best friends and I would so love for them to come on a DCL cruise with us, but I don't think it will happen. We sailed with them last year in the British Virgin Islands. Wondered if we would still be talking to each other after 10 days together on the sailboat, but it was great.

That sounds just like our neighbors. We are hoping to move in the next month....waiting on a house offer to be accepted and we are so sad to be leaving our neighbors. We get together most Friday nights in the summer for bbq ribs and martini's and it is nice to just stumble  (I mean walk) back home after a great night. They have 2 daughter's the same ages as mine who are best friends....
We have tried for years to get them to go to WDW or on a cruise with us, but they just haven't been able to get the time off from work. Maybe they can join us on the new ship....2011 should be enough time for them to plan that vacation ;) .

Since we seem to be comparing gadgets and you both have macbooks...what do you think of them? I was in the mac store yesterday looking. I have a 15 m old Dell laptop that has given me nothing but headaches since I got it and everyone has said Mac's are so much better. Any opinions?????

When we travel, we are a bit lighter, but we have....2 laptops, 4 Ipods (dd's have one each too), 3 digital cameras (dh's, dd's, and mine), 3 cell phones and occasionally our small picture printer!

If someone or something should not be named on the DIS boards, please refrain from referencing it in your posts at all. Thank you.

:rotfl2: I was wondering the same thing!

Well, there's a little drawstring at the center of the top of the shirt. You can pull the string to adjust the amount of....I'm sure the accurate word would get be in trouble.....um...skin you'd like to reveal below the neck. Cindy was giving our waiter a little demonstration.

Now I think it's wise to change the subject before I get in trouble.

Who has the current count on number of days before we cruise?! :cool1: I still need to download a day counter.

I have a 15" powerbook, I love it! John has been Mac longer then me. I would love a 12" Macbook with a 100 gb HD and video card. :rolleyes1
