Here's a question regarding the fish mail. Do we give one item per room or per person?

I guess it would also depend on what was given. I have been looking at Promotional Item websites for ideas. For example, a travel first aid kit could be one per room, but Yo Yo's could be one per person.

Does this make sense? I have been googling and I think my brain is googly.

Someone posted that back for the Magic maiden sailing, DCL asked for deposits about 3 yrs prior before anything was really set. The dates got pushed back once (maybe more). She said they got letters from DCL throughout the whole process.
I find it strange that the announcement didn't come with a coordinated effort to take deposits (which they would have easily gotten). I am wondering if it is a similar situation with what might have happened with the 2008 west coast annoucement- somehow their plans were leaked so they just go for it and make the announcement. I have gotten three different stories from DCL since yesterday and now Noel's TA received another one (that they will keep requests on file- I was told they will not take any requests at this time). Just seems a bit disorganized to me. Lisa

My TA told me to just sit tight and wait as DCL was telling her they were not taking any info at the moment. I agree with Lisa (and everyone else), it would be so nice if there was a straight answer somewhere within DCL.

I just wanted to say that your fish extenders look alot better than the one I have. I wish I had seen yours before we bought ours as I love to decorate stuff!!! They look amazing!!!

Thank you for the compliment. Posting the picture of yours is just fine. That is very similar to the original ones. I saw those on ebay but was already making my own. If they had been on when I first wanted one I might have ordered one except that I am a Mickey fan and not so much a Pooh fan.

If you are going to do it by yourself and not go in on the group thing it is up to you and what you would want to spend. Most people on the SC gave one thing per stateroom but some gave per person in the stateroom. So, the choice is yours.

Okay, The next six extenders were sent out priority mail today. Monica (mishoe01), Kari (txSleepingBeauty), Kim (kimerinc), Lisa (disneylover5), Karen (been2marceline) and Venetia (tink1963), be looking for yours soon. The next six probably will not go out now until next Wednesday. I am taking today and the weekend off from sewing to do some other things that need to be done around here but haven't wanted to do them.

Thanks to those that have had to put up with some of my slip ups for understanding. They will all be taken care of today (I hope).

Good afternoon all! We are driving home from Tahoe so excuse any typos as I'm writing from my Treo! I haven't checked my PMs today but know I got some more with the fish mail teams! To recap:
We will be making 15 teams that will be in charge of each day of the cruise. Each team needs a team leaders (hinting for volunteers!!). Each team will select what type of mail they will deliver and each team has their own budget as determined by the team members. How things get divided up amongst the team is up to them but I am strongly encouraging all money issues get handled ahead of time via paypal or mail so no one member of the team has that responsibility. Each team leader (did I mention we need some leaders??) will PM me as to what the team will do so we won't have any overlaps. It is first come, first serve as to which day your team get's. Once I can review my PMs, I will email PJ with web information. On the private website, we will post the teams and which days are picked. This will be fun! Be sure to name your team and if anyone is interested in being a team leader or on a team and haven't PM pls do! Also, this is all VOLUNTARY. You do not need to participate even if you have a fish extender. Mail goes to all! I think someone asked if they need an extender to get mail and I think the answer should be a yes or else it might be difficult. It wouldn't need to be anything fancy- just something we can put mail into! But any other thoughts on that?

Well, it is official. Aunty Brat will be abandoning her post and posts from May 11th to May 27th to go on some kind of wacky cruise across the pond with some fly by night company called DCL?? Any of you all ever heard of them? Seriously, I am looking for a substitute roll call and update updater! PM you applications to AuntyBrat and I will wade through the tons of responses and select one lucky winner!!! Just think how much fun it could be to be me for a few days!!! No really, it is!!!

Oh, and the lucky winner will get something cool picked out by MOI commemorating the Med Repo cruise. I am aiming for something LE and collectable so it will actually be worth your while, and you can try and either unload it on some internet auction site, taunt your friends with it, or heck, you might actually keep it as a reminder to never volunteer to do this kind of thing again!!!

Oh and did I mention that I get to see POC At Worlds End premeared on this cruise? The things I do to see Johnny....How many Johnny Depp movies can I get on my video Ipod? I will let you know...POC 1 & 2, Chocolat, Charlie & Choc Factory, etc...

Ok, apparently some of us are not happy unless we are injuring ourselves in an effort to avoid walking. SO in addition to DOD walkers, we may need pushers too, so that the royalty of our group can get form place to place in their chairs, because really, can you imagine couple 3 or 4 DOD, a round of Bunco and then trying to get around on crutches? Can you imagine trying to explain how they broke the rest of their body to the ships medical staff? Can you imagine trying to get your trip insurance to cover it?

And if you are curious, we do not have lurkers on this board, we have skulkers!

And I know that some of you MAY have heard that there are a couple of new ships coming, and that some of you MAY be interested in taking a voyage on them. And in the midst of all this can you believe that DCL is giving us inconsistant information about IC request? And that they are dragging out the shoeboxes again? < I told you that we should have chipped in for those rubbermaid containers several thousand posts ago > Oh, and they will want hundreds of dollars to hold you place in line for a ship that has no name, no sail date, and no itinerary? Oh and that we will all HAPPILY fork over said hundreds of dollars to go on this mystery ship and cruise? Anyone here really surprised??

And those bad, bad, bad, wannabe, couldn't be, pirates from some OTHER repo cruise once again failed to grab a milestone post (6000)...but apparently they have their eye on 10,000...and the ones between 6000 and 10,000 so be vigilant you scurvey pirates!!! They will not get any of our booty!!!
