You know, I think ours are the 25 gram...the ones just under $5.
clynne, do you remember?

I don't remember the size or price, but I do remember they were cheap and very feathery! And, the box was marked Tammy's Temptations (or something like that)...Had to do a quick double think on that one!

I too have acquired a reputation. Other people just don't seem to understand my addiction - their loss. I know as far as my siblings and their families go they just don't know how to really enjoy themselves.

My only regret is that my DH doesn't join in on my excitement. He thinks I have a problem. He even more so doesn't get the DIS boards (again his loss). Fortunately, my 3 kids love Disney like I do. I will always have travel companions in them. I just have to convince DH that it is ok to take vacations without him (He usually can't get off of work anyway). He has given the approval for this upcoming DCL (April) but asked that there is no more vacation without him. This would serious limit our trip to Disney and DCL. I will just tackle this one - one at a time. Anyone else have a similar situation? Any tricks to handle?

Just a quick note - haven't caught up at all in the postings yet.

Jim is playing around with the logo to see if we can make name tags using the logo to go with the lanyards.

I can't remember who did the original logo but would it be possible for them to email the original logo to shipofthieves@gmail.com?? We'd like to move some of the lettering around to add in the names but the copy of the logo that we have has been resized to the point that it has extra lines in it and it won't allow him to move the text around.

Thanks.

Fiona

When I travel on business, I make a quick 24 hour side trip to WDW if at all possible and since I have a cell phone, DH just knows I am gone and isn't really sure where I am at. Actually, I usually "break" the news to him when I am there. I am headed to Baltimore on Feb. 28 for a meeting. Checked round trip flights Salt Lake City-Baltimore and then checked multi-city for SLC-Baltimore-Orlando-SlC. Actually ended up booking ticket for SLC-Baltimore and then Orlando-SLC and then a one way on Southwest for $85 down to Orlando. So when my meeting ends Sat. am I am on the next flight to Orlando and get to spend a little over 24 hours there. I'll wait til the last minute to "name my own price" on Priceline and get a cheap hotel room in the vicinity of the parks. Can't justify using DVC points on a Sat. night for just myself.

I love spending time alone in the parks. I can shop, ride on my favorite rides and see my favorite show "Illuminiations".

I can't help you with that one since DH and I share the Disney addiction (we met at Disneyland). And since Sept 11, 2001 we also never travel farther than we can drive without each other. I was in St. Louis on a business trip that terrible day and he was home in Oregon. Lesson we learned that week was that anything is ok if we are together, but being apart and not knowing when we could rejoin is unbearable for us. Now he goes with me if I travel for work and we have always vacationed together. :thumbsup2

You can add us to the list. We booked on the 31st. I PMd my info but thought I would add it here as well.

Early Dining/Entire table to ourselves (7)
Party listed below and adding DM also (she cruised last 2xs w/us as well)
cat 11, rooms 7037 and 6069
mount sterling, ky

I just found this thread and I only have 100 more posts to read to get caught up LOL.

Hoping nothing gets in our way like DH's work schedule (he can't request time off until 1/08) or DD13's high school softball schedule (won't know that until early spring 08'). Keeping my fingers crossed, WB repo or BUST!!!!!

Welcome Aboard!! You will find the people in this group to be friendly and have great suggestions to offer.

I think every family here on the boards have different dynamics. I travel alone, with my DH, with a GK or all the GKs and with the entire cast and crew of my DD, DS and their respective families.

I guess I would talk it over with my DH and ask why he doesn't want you and the kids to vacation without him and try to understand his viewpoint. Personally I would work it out that I could vacation with or without him without feeling guilty that the vacation is something everyone will enjoy except him.

Just my thoughts.

Wow . . . we are like Angie and Dennis (just a different generation) while we did not meet at WDW, it was one of the first places we went together as a couple. Someday I may scan in and post that silly picture of us as two young, skinny, kids . . . I only know now how to handle the people I don't live with - like co-workers. I just ignore them and don't talk about where we are going unless asked, and then prepare for the "NOT AGAIN!". Can't do that with a spouse though . . .

Is there something at WDW that would pique his interest? There are so many different things to see and do that I can't imagine almost every interest isn't covered . . . What kind of stuff does he like to do?

afternoon everyone! What is up with the boards today? and wow it was cold this morning - 41! Ready to go home but still have an hour and a half tonight. Soup for dinner tonight!

You just described me and my family. The boys and I love Disney and Mark loves Disney too, but to a point. He grew up in Anaheim and worked at the Disneyland Hotel. He doesn't not get my addiciton to the DIS boards but does appreciate the knowledge I gleam from it and he is very interested in meeting everyone that I've "met" but he thinks I spent way tooooo much time on the computer. He also commented last night that he thought maybe this panama canal cruise will be our last Disney cruise. WHAT?! I think after 15 days on the Magic he'll change his mind....and then I'll take him on a Carnival cruise :scared1: to remind him how much fun we did NOT have on our last Carnival cruise!!! He'll snap right back to DCL. (At least I know my husband! )

has anyone decided where they are staying in CA? (if you are) how early can you book 08 hotel reservations?

I decided this weekend was a good weekend to take a Dis break and it turned out to be good. Not so much to catch up on. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Back to school and work tomorrow for most. :sad2:

We have slowed down loads haven't we? Perhaps after the holiday folk will be back. Don't want this thread to disappear off the page!:rotfl:

That's great news, thank you so much...18 to do...that's a lot of work, bless you and your husband for taking this on. Worth more than $30 to me. :thumbsup2

I'll look forward to hearing from you. :yay:

I received my fish extender from Carol last week. Now before you all get excited that your fish extenders are on the way, this was one that was leftover from a previous cruise, so it was already made. Sorry, you'll have to wait a bit longer. ;) Anyway, you will not be disappointed when yours do arrive. This was very professionally done and worth every penny and more. The picture is nice, but doesn't really do it justice. I just wanted to thank Carol for her hard work and let everybody know what a great job she will be doing on your fish extenders.

I can't find the post where someone asked about the mini navigators. But I do remember reading that Linda (Seaulator) is the one who put them together for the last cruise. So maybe Linda wants to do it again :confused3 or whoever was asking about it can get the directions from her.

We took off for the 3-day weekend, and I thought I'd be swamped trying to get caught up here. I guess everyone took off this weekend, because it wasn't bad at all. We went to visit the in-laws in the eastern part of the state. Stayed at a Holiday Inn with an indoor water park, so the boys had a blast. I couldn't get them out of the water most of the weekend. It was just what we needed to get us thru the hum-drum Iowa winter. Now just 2 1/2 weeks until Maui. :cool1:

We'll never disappear! :goodvibes I'm glad we're not the other repo thread, though. I would have given up ages ago.

Well, I went through their first page and they have some very helpful things even for us. Got a chocolate chip cookie recipe and read some menus! My, but they are an organised bunch.

Hi everyone, just got caught up. School had a holiday yesterday so I took the boys to Legoland in Carlsbad. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect....75 degrees! I hate to say this because I know many of you have freezing temps but they have a water/splash area and the boys put their swimsuits on and played for almost two hours while I enjoyed watching them on a bench and basked in the sun. Very nice.

Ok, well I've decided as one of my contributions I'd like to make everyone a DIS green Mickey magnet for those who would like one. PM me with your DIS name AND cabin number. If you don't know it yet, indicate that and before sailing I'll update the list. Here's what it will look like:

Happy Day!
