Hi all! Somewhat caught up although might have missed a post here or there. I am SO excited DCL finally fixed my OBC/discount disaster for this cruise. YEAH! Such a relief.
We are in the car heading to Tahoe for ski week. Was able to leave work early so hope to beat the traffic. As we passed over the Bay Bridge (in Northern Ca) my 4 yr old is confident he saw the Mickey ship. I am so jealous of all of you that have a trip planned before this one. I just don't know if I can wait!

Ok, I have been playing with the idea of doing the Med repo in May because the rates are sooooo cheap, but the airfare was horrible. Well, the prices have dropped and what it comes down to, is that for $2300 including the cruise, airfare and tips my girlfriend and I could do a cat 12 on the Med repo!!! Am I crazy? I can get the vacation time and do my Alaska cruise at the end of June too. What do you think? :confused3

if you can afford that one AND stay on our repo (cuz what we do without you:confused3 ) then go for!! I think the transatlantics would be incredible, that's what I wanted to do originally, but no way could I afford it at the time...

Anyone out there who has done a 3 or 4 night cruise to Nassau and went on property at Atlantis? We're doing it with the family this Halloween and would like some help geting info on what the best way to do this would be. Do we need to get a room at the hotel? I've heard that Disney excursions don't let you access every area at Atlantis!?!

The other cruise thread is only 5 pages and no one seems to know. So I'm asking here because DISers Know Best!

Thanks.

We went to the Atlantis this month. We were not on a Disney Cruise but we took the ferry over to Paradise Island (I swear that's the name) anyway... we bought the day passes and saw the aquarium (largest aquarium in the Western Hemiphere) and checked out the hotel and the beach. Truely wonderful for a day in Nassau I was (NOT) not looking forward to. We had a blast... PM me and I'll tell you everything I know.

OMG - that's cheaper than the Repo! Aw man, if I had the vacation time, I think I would do it (instead of the Westbound) but there's no way I can get that kind of time off this late in the game. Plus two cruises in four months is unrealistic for us. But what great pricing!:rolleyes1

The best part is . . . . . . . she's a DUCK!!!

So funny you typed that, I was thinking the same thing!

For those that don't have passports yet, this was our experience today. We have been reluctant to take Jenna out of class for any reason since we received our little nasty letter a few months ago. Today, we took of advantage of her not having school and went to get our passports. We want them for our trip to Belize and Honduras in four weeks (yes we had to pay to have them expedited).

We waited in line for 2 1/2 hours!!! Trust me, with a four and seven year old, this was painful. We had preprinted all our documents off the internet, were very organized with all other documentation we needed also. After our wait, it then took another 45 minutes in the little room! The guy that was helping us said it has been like this for months and is only getting worse. Well, at least it is done. For the four of us, with expedited service, it cost $726!!

We are the only local agency that accepts applications for Passports...and every third call we get is something-or-other to do with Passports. If you haven't gotten them by now folks... run, don't walk to your local application accepting agency and go get them done. $700.00 - eeek :scared1:

FYI - little niece is not here yet---per my mom "she's not ready to go anywhere".

Hopefully today will be here birthday!

Have a good afternoon (not sure if I'll be back here tonight).

How come the EB itinerary has a full 12 hours in Acapulco and we pull in at 11:30am and leave at 7:30pm? I know Acapulco's not "all that" but my mom had a house in Puerto Marqez and me and Mekayla plan to jump over there for the day. I think I also read that the EB has an additional port of call that we don't. Not 100% sure on that last part...but I was lurking today on the Pirate's thread and there was talk.......pirate:

We are back from our little Wonder get away. We had a great time! :cool1: The weather gave us a little trouble for one day, it was raining in Nassua. It didn't stop my girls, they kept right on swimming!

:cheer2: While on board we rebooked for the 14 day transatlantic repo cruise in May 2007!:cheer2:

I have to go and work on the laundry :laundy: and dream about or next cruise! I will try and catch up on the posts over the weekend!

Yeah! Come join our repo thread and when you let Epcotkilterfan add you to the roster you will automatically get one of those really cool lanyards that we have done!

Yes! Come join us. We need some more cruisers! The ship has plenty of room! For me and my DH we ended up getting the cruise for $2,852 TOTAL for the both of us and then I used FF mileage and we are flying First Class for free both ways! YIPPEE!:cool1:

I'm having a hard time keeping up to date on the diff websites - anyone else having this problem?? Why does work have to get in the way of my DISing??? :rotfl: (o yeah---I'm trying to pay for this cruise, I forgot).

I hear ya! I went to the other websites just to check it out, but haven't visited since only because I can't keep up. Everybody who contributed, did a great job on those sites, but this is the only one I'll be on. :guilty: Just not enough hours in the day. And when school starts back up, I'll barely be on here!

You'd be crazy not to! Do it, do it, do it! :cheer2:

Hey, I'm a former postal worker! And my fellow cruiser, Cindy(who has only posted here a couple of times long ago) is a postal worker. Whenever they do passport days at the main post office here, she tells me how crazy it gets. :scared1:

I'm lurking, 'cause I'm going for post number 23553. We'll see if I can sneek in there.

Why 23553? You know they are getting very close to 25,000. It would okay for me to get 25,000 as I am on the cruise. But it would kill the rest of them for one of you to get it!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi again...had to share my news :-)

Sydney Marie was born at 711pm today the 16th of February :cool1: :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2: :dance3: (can you tell I'm happy??)

My mom (dgrandma :rotfl: ) doesn't remember the details - she thinks 6lbs ?oz, no clue about length......doesn't my mom know I NEED TO KNOW this stuff???

On the downside - my sister's in surgery...they may have to do a historectomy (or how ever you spell it). Not sure of the details (sucks not being in MD for this). Would appreciate any/all prayers for her (her name is Lisa).

Can't remember right now who posted the ? about the med repo, Alaskan, and our repo cruise....but if I could swing it I WOULD!!!

Keeping positive thoughts and prayers for Lisa, hoping she recovers quickly.
