I think it would be fun to have a partner to plan this with. I would love to organize the BUNCO....you take care of drinks and food?? (think we will be hungry??) I will get the dice, score sheets, Baby Bunco Dice (or maybe we could use Mickey Mouse!) and I will put together Baby Bunco prizes. How much should we do for the enrty fee? We do $5 in our group, but since we are on vacation, it might be fun to up the Ante.....Anyone who plays, please suggest what you think.

If you want to play, send me a PM and let's see how much interest there is.

Saved the above in a repo events file, will read/work it into the site tonight. Upon further reading, Lisa's confer and let me know a semi-final game plan to post, thanks, ;)

Ok - I think we have our "semi-final game plan"! Interested in Bunco, PM Disneylover5 (Lisa). Also email her what you think we should have be the "buy-in" price - $5? $10? I will be the "behind the scenes" beverage and food coordinator. Only thing I will need to know as we get closer is the final count. I will make up the drink menu - choice of course will be DOD! Also, can work with creating our own little munchies at each table as that is ESSENTIAL for bunco. Now, for the gossip....hmmm....I'm thinking it could start with something about Spandex, Mickey's itty bits, I'm sure there will be more to come, what type of parties the kids that were left at home are probably throwing, so much and we haven't even met!

Good Morning,
I am looking into getting insurance w/ Travel Guard also, but was wondering a couple of things. did you include your flights with disney or are you booking those on you own? And if you are booking yourself did you just estimate the fiight cost?
this is all so new to me. Travel Guard seems to have some good options. I included coverage through disney when I book the cruise. How hard is it to opt out of the Disney insurance. I have transfered my ressies to DU.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Venetia-yes, I made a guess as to what I thought my flights would cost...so that brought our covered cost to $1750/person. The price tier occurs at $2001/person, so she just made the covered cost at $2000/person just in case our tickets were more than I guessed. I don't know if you can drop the disney insurance or not. I would contact DU.

Not sure if this applies to you but with Travel Guard for the "free" kids option and the pre-existing wavier option, you have to get the insurance from them within 14 days of your booking.

How did you like Belize? We are headed there in March.

Sorry this is so late, we just got back from Belize last week! You must must must consider the cave tubing excursion go to www.cave-tubing.com they were a blast. The ship's excursion got cancelled, but not these local guys. My daughter and I had a blast.:cool1:

We have been tubing on the island of Kauai and it was called Tubing the Ditch. It was on the old sugar cane plantation and you went through a whole series of tunnels and down small waterfalls and stuff. They gave you helmets with lights, gloves and you wore tennis shoes or water shoes.

It was a blast. I highly recommend tubing like this, it is a fun experience and totally different from tubing down a river.

No snow here yet. We're supposed to get 3-6 inches today and overnight. Not enough to close schools. Bummer! If schools close, day care closes, which means I can't go to work. I LOVE snow days!

No snow day here, either. We were supposed to get 4-6 inches, but I think maybe we managed 2. The kids were bummed. They haven't had a snow day yet this year. I just told them they'd be happy in June. We don't build in any snow days for the school year, so any missed days have to be made up at the end of the school year.

For those that might be interested I put together a piece for the web site. It is a copy of an article from the newsletter for our SC cruise about how Fish Extenders came to and the kinds of things that people put in them. Also, I went on to explain how Doug and I came to make them. There is a link to it on the front page. If there are any other questions feel free to PM me and I will answer them the best I can.

Thanks, Carol!:goodvibes

Well, our real snow is supposed to happen overnight, and if it keeps up the way it has been the last couple of hours, the possibility of a snow day is looking even better! I'd love a reason to call in and miss work! :cool1: But with my luck, they'd ask if I could just try to bring my son with me to work. Yeah, that would work really well. :scared:

I tried to register my daughter as an under 13 person for the second website. It shows her as a user but when we try to log her on it will not allow it. She registered under tinklovessoccer.

Got home at 5:30, and just sat down after clearing the driveway and walks, eating dinner, and taking a shower.

Stuff is still coming down. It is pelting the windows and is the consistency of snow cones. By the time I got done with the bottom of the driveway, the top had another inch or two on it. They said we are getting about two inches an hour, and school is already cancelled for tomorrow.

Wish work was cancelled too!

Guess I'll get up at 5:00 and clear the driveway again!

V - mention all of this to John2 next time he thinks he wants to move to Ohio!

I think I want to rub it in that it rained last night but then it was beautiful today. O.K. I won't!

What is up with the boards today? They are sloooooooooow . . .

Maybe the internet tubes are filling up with snow!

Cute story to share! I got my valentine a day early! What made it even more surprising is that I didn't expect my 4yr old to think about doing one. After we finished writing names on the ones he's taking to day care tomorrow, he had a few leftovers. He told me he's thinking of a special valentine he can make for somebody else in our valentine, but that I can't watch him because I don't know who it's for and it has to be a surprise. He made sure I sat with my back to everything he was doing. He got his glue stick, leftover heart stickers from the valentines, leftover valentines, a piece of light grey construction paper, and a smaller piece of pink construction paper. Made a creation and asked, "Mom, how do you spell your name?" Wrote in his illegible writing "Tyler Mom" (all runs together) and told me with a HUGE smile on his face (and arm around me), "I made this for you. Happy Valentine's Day! It says from Tyler to Mom."

Just melts your heart, doesn't it?!
