Love Carol Burnett, I remember watching her show, lying on the floor right in front of the TV. I was the youngest, I never ended up with an actual spot to sit on furniture, lol. I love to laugh, even took my sorority to a comedy club when I was rush chairperson as an informal event. When I go to Pleasure Island I spend the night at the Adventures club and the Comedy Club.

Butterflies

I know information has been posted before about how to do the butterfly farm in Aruba without the excursion and the ever-so-tempting aloe factory.

I think I need to get my act together to figure out how to do this. If anyone could repost, it would be most appreciated.

.

I'm not sure if anyone answered this yet but this is an email I gotfrom the farm.

I am glad to hear you are interested in visiting TheButterfly Farm when you are in Aruba. The admissionis $13. for adults, $6. for children age 4-16, andchildren age 3 and under are free. The admissionincludes a tour of the Farm, where you see the eggs, caterpillars, pupa and over 40 species ofbutterflies. The tour lasts about 25 minutes. We areopen 7 days a week at 9am, and the last tour of theday is 4pm. You never wait more than 10-15 minutesfor a tour. We also have a great gift shop with awide range of butterfly items; including funkyt-shirts, butterfly gardening books and sterlingsilver jewelry made with real butterfly wings.

We are located in the heart of the hotel district, directly across the street from the Westin and Phoenixhotels at Palm Beach. Various modes of transportation are available fromthe cruise ship dock. The public bus terminal isacross the street from the dock, look for the buscalled Hotel Area and let the driver know you want tovisit The Butterfly Farm. The driver will stop rightnear our front door. Cost is $1.30 and buses runabout every 20 minutes. Taxis are also readilyavailable at a cost of about $10-$12. There is also acar rental agency at the port.

If you go on aruba.com you can get the bus schedule. It is under things to do and then getting around.

Jill and I love the Adventurer's club, but it was way to crowded the last time we went, we only stayed for about two shows. The first time we went it was great, we saw around 5 shows and no crowds! :)

Theme song:
Marching along we're Adventurers
Singing the song of Adventurers
Up or down,
North, South, East, or West,
An Adventurer's life is best!
An Adventurer's Life is best!

Creed:
We climb the highest mountains,
Just to get a better view.
We plumb the deepest oceans,
Cause we're daring through and through.
We cross the scorching desert,
Martinis in our hand.
We ski the polar icecaps,
In tuxedos looking grand.
We are reckless, brave and loyal,
And valiant to the end.
If you enter here a stranger,
You will exit as a friend.

Kungaloosh! :rotfl2:

The girl who set up my DH on our first date used to be the coordinating producer for the comedy club at PI. I love the Adventurers club. I haven't had anyone to go with for years, so I'd love to have an adventure there one night on this trip.

Perfect for Molly she has training wheel on at 10. She wants them on forever...yes we're talking to college

Maybe Mickey will work his magic. We always ride bikes on CC. Two years ago DD9 at the time and still with training wheels at home, picked up a bike WITHOUT training wheels. I questioned her about it but she insisted. She wobbled her way down the path - by the time we got to the airstrip she was riding!! We were so excited that she learned to ride on Mickey's island.:cool1:

So ya never know.......

Just finishing off my pre-trip shopping list....

top deck chocolate for Deb - check
REAL smarties for Susie - check

Anyone feeling brave enough for me to bring them some Vegemite??????

We, of course, would never leave the country without it....

Any takers?

Anyone, Anyone????????:rotfl: :rotfl:

Do they sell small bags of australian licorice? It's the best!

:guilty: :guilty:

do not mock me

Is the Aruba butterfly farm anything like the butterfly area in Santa Cruz, CA????????? anyone know?

I think it's more an indoor thing. Have you seen the Monarchs in Santa Cruz? They are beautiful. We have gone a few times. It is so cool to look up and realize all that color are hundreds of butterflies. Must find pics to share here.

Not HARD to figure out since I bought it 8 weeks before the cruise!

clue me in, you sent her some Sees right?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Molly says "hi"

I have thought about heading over to PI for a couple of hours on Friday night, maybe between 9-11:30 pm. I want to do dinner, of some kind, with the geeks and be back in time to greet our last arrivals.

While we are sharing stories, I tell on her too. She did her first dry night at Dland. Seems her Auntie forgot to put on a pull up and from there on out we were home free....I won't tell you how old she was she might get embarssed..

I'll keep that bike idea in the back of my head.:goodvibes

Ethan and Molly were made for each other.

OK so now I know I need to drink my wine because I didn't know it turned to vineger! Just add fabric softner to the tequila! And GROSS on the grasshopper!

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

We want to bring it, as we don't have many days in a row at home to really enjoy wine, each other, meals, wine, each other, not necessary in that order.

With the Caribbean in the back ground and all of your newest best friends beating down your new CAT 3!!! :rotfl:

I almost want to pm her, since it's gonna take so long for her to get to this page...naw....let's watch her laugh it out.

LMAO :rotfl2: I have met you both so I thought it was funny.

Oh and I'm SO sorry I went to bed early last night!!!

Ian - are you guys sure you want to do the bfly farm?
We've done a few, have you ever been to one before? You could always hitch a ride and earn your Bad Girl Badge with us!

I'll go to the butterfly farm with the girl scouts!
