Steve - I'm sorry for your loss too....your friend was very lucky to have caring friends like you around during this rough time. I'm sure you were a huge comfort.

Lisa - glad Frank's over the hicups....a small step, but in the right direction.

Jill - hope your family member (sorry can't remember who it was) is healing and not in too much pain.

John - glad you're feeling better and able to keep in touch w/ Amy on a regular basis.

Deb - glad you're feeling better.

I really hope I haven't forgotten anyone - it was definately not my intention.

Did anyone else watch the Dateline NBC show on the mistaken identity?

2 girls (Taylor University students) were in a bad accident 1 1/2-2 yrs ago -- 1 died and the other was in a coma for a while. 1 family was told that their daughter passed and the other family was taking care of who they thought was their daughter for 5 weeks before they realized that this was not their daughter.

Hard to imagine, but these families are an inspiration.

Who is renting a car in California? Will the Car rental be opened? Is there one close to the port?

I'm renting Hertz, which is at the Long Beach Airport. DH will take a taxi (they said they would reimburse the cost of the taxi, I think up to $15). He will then come back with van and pick us up.

Cheri and I are also renting from Hertz at 249 East Ocean Blvd #104 Long Beach CA 90802 phone 562-495=4316. It's about 6 miles from the port and they will do a $10 taxi refund (BUT that may only be for a multi day rental...don't know if we get it for our one day rental). Lisa, is this the location you are renting from, or are you at the Donald Douglas drive location (which mysteriously has the same phone number I THINK). They offer a AAA discount too.

I ended up w/ the grey - I was going to get the green but they ended up being sold out of that color by the time I put in my order (and the orange was so NOT for me ).

I will check in lastly on the 9th before I leave work - I have a 1/2 day off so will only be working 10a-2p before I'm ON VACATION!!!

Sitting here tonight watching the dance along HSM2. The dancing in this is actually pretty impressive when you watch them break it down in slow motion. I could barely keep up when they did it in half time...I just sat down for the regular speed since Taylor was laughing at me too much!

I didn't watch it tonight, but I have seen a documentary about this before! Can you imagine how horrible that must be?
