do you have Tyler this weekend Holly?
Well, I always pick him up at 5 on Saturdays, but it's his dad's turn to have him this Easter, so he'll go back to his dad's sometime on Sunday. So to avoid that crazy back and forth in a couple days, what we usually do is if his dad's holiday falls on a Sunday, Tyler just stays that extra night on Saturday night and I pick him up Sunday evening.

BUT he'll be coming home on Saturday this time because there's an special event at church he wants to go see at 7pm. They're doing a family candlelight Easter event specially made to teach kids the Easter story through a little play, and it ends with walking through the sanctuary with candles, then we get to eat CAKE afterwards. Yum! :goodvibes Then he'll go back to his dad's on Sunday for Easter.

I've been talking about this cruise for so long I am not sure the girls even think we are really going!!

That sounds lovely Holly. One of the sad things these days is that children grow up without knowing the Easter story and have no idea what it is about.

I wonder myself sometimes!!

and I have had the luggage out since christmas so they probably just think i am nuts!
Tyler would have packed long ago if I'd let him! :rotfl: But his swim trunks from last year probably won't fit (still have to try them on), so he needs new ones and then I'll let him pack because he certainly won't need his shorts before the cruise. Not here in lovely Michigan! :lmao: And his dad bought him some new crocs, the camo croclings. He had them last summer, so his dad was happy to find the same ones in a bigger size because Tyler liked them so much. I thought that was very sweet of him to actually think of Tyler for a change, but he actually doesn't want that kind this year. Oops!

Oh he knows the story very well. His day care up until he started kindergarten was at a church, and they focused heavily on bible studies. We were actually planning on going to see the passion play at a church last Sunday, but that's the day Tyler fell asleep for the night before 6:30 (the show was at 7). He was very sad and actually cried the next morning when he realized we missed the play.

hmmm, maybe I can convince John to take us out...we do have free burger coupons at Chili's!!

Great idea! No way am I going anywhere tonight. It's getting really bad out there. The snow that's falling is icy, so I can only imagine how slippery the roads must be.

Bad mom moment here.....my folks brought an Easter basket for Tyler and told me to just give it to him from the Easter bunny. Well, I already have all that stuff for him, so I've been eating the candy they brought! I guess I should head to the store and get my own candy! ;)

Our daughters 4 children go to a Church school and they do many Church orientated things. They finished school yesterday for 2 weeks holiday and this afternoon they were at a Church/school Easter afternoon.

There is a thread on the main cruise board about Wisconsin weather and cancelled flights. Sounds bad up there.

no worries of snow here....the girls are wanting to swim. :)

I would be worried if you did have snow!

Oh wow, it's not that bad in my city yet, but I'll be glad to hear my dad and stepmom got home safely. He panics when driving in the tiniest bit of snow and no longer drives after dark because he just doesn't have good night vision anymore. The definitely should not have made the trip today and I told them they shouldn't have. Good grief! Stubborn.

the girls are sugared up. They had an egg hunt today and came home with bags of candy........

I absolutely REFUSE to shovel when it's SPRING! Marilyn, I need your pouty girl picture you had yesterday! ;)

Do any of you wear Birkenstock sandals? They are so comfy and i can wear them all day. A bit expensive, but worth it. They have some new Disney ones - the kids ones are so cute.
