Here are some other pics from our trip....I spared you all the pics of the eels that were in the water (nope didn't step foot into the ocean this trip due to those guys), the tarantula that was walking on the road outside our villa and the iguana hanging out in the pool area.....

our villa...we had the top floor which has 2 bedrooms, a pool, media room, kitchen and living area. There are 2 other floors...one has 2 master suites and the bottom has 4 single rooms. We had the whole place.

Kaylee, this looks great. Remind me Cabo? So would this be a good place for a few families to stay? Would the kids enjoy it? Could they use a beach near by? We have 2 other families(like ours, 5th grade girl, 2nd grade boy) that we got to school with that we have talked about trying to find a place for us to go together. The kids all speak Spanish, so it would be kinda fun.

thanks for sharing the pics :goodvibes

The boards are silent...........wonder where everyone is????
:lmao:

duh, we were on the phone together :dance3:

Do you want to tell them????

We(the gabby 3) are all going to be in Disneyland FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Steph and Taylor are coming with Marr and her kids and then we are gonna party!!!!

So will you be hitting the juice later? :)

tomorrow is the Easter Parade in Campbell, our scout troop is walking and tossing little carrot bags (instead of candy) and I'll have a little box with me that looks like juice...wait til I show my co-leader :scared1: Just kidding no drinking in GS...I know the rules.:sad2:

but I'm willing to stick my little box of juice in my daughters backpack while we are walking around Disneyland :rolleyes1 There the rules don't apply!!!!

I think you have to drive the stuff down, I don't want to fly with it.

Can you plan a Target run before you leave for me please???? I got the chardonary and red stuff (not sure maybe merlot) I'll let ya know which one I like better...:woohoo:

Just saying Hello. I have been pretty knocked around with these meds they have me on. I swear they make me feel worse. My Dad has also made two more appearances to the ER since Last sunday. Never a dull moment around, we just hate when the phone rings now landline or cell phone.

DD is now on Spring Break.

I am hoping to have more energy for our trip to L.A. on tueday. We were suppose to leave Sat night but I need more rest to even try the trip. I wanted a fun and relaxing trip but its turning out to be all business. Yucky! I figure if I wait till Tues DH can meet us at the gate and we can all fly together.

DD and I got to see the puppies Thursday night. We have to wait another 3-4 weeks before we can bring ours home.

Saturday morning we have a Easter egg hunt at Church and the DD has birthday party in the afternoon. We are hoping for a nice weekend without snow.

I have been a problem on the disboards about getting logged out everytime I switch pages. You see me logged on and then i switch pages and get logged out. I see they are working on the problem because I was not the only having problem. But let me tell how frustrating that is..

OK time for more meds and my head to become one with the pillow. Night Y'all!

Marilyn

I have been there long times ago and I am surprised that it still there as my friend took me to Bradford and stayed there for a week (I was homesick lol) then her rich uncle took us to York for the day and tooke us to Betty and he paid for it :rolleyes1

then I won weekend from Debenhams so I took my husband to York for weekend that time we were engaged. I took him to Betty.

I never forget it, I know it is expensive but nice old fashion with waitress wore black and white clothes.

I am laughing Marilyn type out small so I type out big one It is on Sunday :rotfl2:

Marilyn

What kind of church that you are going to? I hope you don't mind me asking you.

Scottishwee35

Yes, the waitresses were in black skirts, white blouses and little white aprons.

If I was 21 like Nan, I would be shouting the date from the rooftops!!!:lmao:

We used to go to a Church that met in a hotel - very easy going and lively, but we have just left and in the process of finding another 'home'. We have visited another less formal church and a Church of England church that is not formal and a lot of fun. That is very different for us as it is new to us, but we are warming to it. We are looking forward to settling somewhere and becoming part of the community.

Hee hee I am trouble maker hee hee

yes I was home from work tonight, I finished at 10 pm phew then I am on a week holiday ya ya:cool1: But very busy week I tell you after okay.

Scottishwee35

Great to have a week off work. Enjoy.

Hi everyone!!

Back from WDW last night and Vanessa did not RUN AWAY!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

A good time was had by all!! We did Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magic, EPCOT and Typhoon Lagoon!! It waqs a very quick trip and I am exhausted. We drove down......and if I am not tired enough today we did DC...the Supreme Court, Capitol, White House, Jefferson Memorial, Reflecting Pool, Washington Momument, Lincoln Memorial, Library of Congress, Vietnam Wall, and WW2 Memorial. It was a beautiful day, sunny and 50 degrees.

I need to go back to work to REST!!

Tomorrow I am driving to Delaware to get my mom from my brother....that will be an all day trip.

So what have I missed?

Holly, why do you need a wig??:confused3 :confused3

Glad you had suvh a good time. I would love to visit DC - it is on my list for our grand tour next year.

Dennis is working fairly nearby today (only 30 min away) so I met him for lunch. We had burgers at Ruby Tuesday. Was yummy! Now we will just have cereal for dinner. Easy for me.

Now I love a cereal meal but it doesn't work for John.

All kinds of winter storm warnings here and throughout the midwest . . .

Amy is supposed to leave again tomorrow at 1:30 pm, fly to Detroit, and then to Tokyo. I am hoping if she gets stuck, it is HERE, and not in Detroit.

She will be in the Philippines for 18 more days . . .:sad2:

You will be glad when that is all over.

Funny, I am feeling like a stranger as well. Tonight, right this very moment, I am in my house all by myself with just 1 dog and 3 cats.....no other humans. It is so wonderful....

I go get mom tomorrow and Frank comes back on Sunday.....

I hope you really enjoyed your alone time.

Yes I did!! And all I could think of...what would my DIS friends say about this...how crazy to pay $1,000 (okay, that includes tickets and food) a night to stay somewhere and not have internet access....I mean I can stay at the MOTEL 6 and have internet access!!!

Too true!

Hmmm ... at least none of us will be driving.

.

And I hope you all behave yourselves and don't get up to mischief with the elevators or door knocking late at night!!!:lmao:

Marilyn - I highly recommend the tea at the GFL - and if you can include good friends it'll make it all the better.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'll make a note to invite a good friend then!!:rotfl2:

March 23rd

I couldn't resist Marilyn:lmao:

You didn't mention yours Nan!!:rotfl:

And more.... here's their website

http://sherlocksgroup.com/

The original owners of Sherlocks were featured on a programme over here about Brits settling in Florida. People still visit because of that, though the owners have changed.

Just back from a week in Las Vegas. We had a terrific time and visited the newest hotels/casinos: Palazzo (opulent), and Planet Hollywood (trendy, formerly the Aladdin and the Desert Passages shopping mall).

We saw "Spamalot" (hillarious), "Le Reve" (astounding), and of course "dueling pianos" (the Magic used to have dueling pianos -- oh, how we miss it!).

On our last visit, we saw "Phantom" (excellent -- even after seeing productions in L.A. [starring Michael Crawford], London, and Broadway) and "The Beatles Love" (fab!). The time before that, we saw "KA" (my favorite Cirque du Soleil show) and Elton John's "Red Piano" (God save the Queen).

The good news: DW and I went to the fitness center six mornings in a row.

The bad news: It was all negated by too much superb food, especially the buffet at the Wynn.

All in all, it was good practice for the cruise, except there were no towel animals.

We had hoped to meet with kulkatt. We exchanged a few e-mails, and will meet on the ship instead.

To Deb and anyone else going to L.V. after the cruise: you might want to check on buying show tickets in advance. Many shows get sold out.

Woody

Glad you had a good trip. We really enjoyed our couple of days in '97 ans Vegas is on my list for our Grand Tour next year too!!!

That was a long post for you Woody!!!

Wow...I finally heard from my folks and it took them 3 1/2 hours to get home from my house. So that was 6 1/2 hours roundtrip for them for just a one hour visit and they got home to 11 inches of snow to clear, then 20 min after they got home my stepsister dropped off her 2 boys around 9pm to stay overnight. After the boys leave in the morning, my folks will probably sleep all day tomorrow!

Well they must have really wanted to come and visit you Holly.

Ugggh.....will somebody please come over here and take the package of Kit-Kats away from me? My folks left an 8-pack here for us and I've attacked that already. Add that to my list of snacks mentioned earlier. Plus a small bag of chips. Now I'm craving pancakes smothered in syrup but fortunately, I'm too tired to fix that for myself. I've had the strangest food cravings for about a month now and it's driving me nuts. Must be related too all the other crazy hormonal things. Good grief!

And no, I'm NOT pregnant! :rotfl: Everybody at work always asks me that lately. :lmao:

I can eat a whole packet of Kit Kats.(Well as long as they are the same kind of Kit Kats we have!!!)

Warning: Discussion of feline bodily fluids. Feel free to skip this post. :rotfl:

So, I come home from vacation last night and MIL tells me that our cat Pirate is bleeding, but she can't tell what's wrong. He's leaving little droplets of blood on her bedspread and elsewhere. I call the vet to ask what to do. The vet has me driving all over town to find aquarium gravel to put in the litter box and wants me to collect his urine and study his stools. This all sounds like so much fun, I can't even tell you. :rolleyes1

When I'm checking on him this afternoon, Pirate sneezes and sprays little drops of blood all over my bed. OK, at least I know which part of his body it's coming from. I call the vet back, only to have the office tell me she's gone for the day and can't see me til Monday. But they recommend I take the cat to the vet hospital at the university. It's considered an emergency visit, so it costs me $160 bucks just for the initial visit. :scared1: I do it anyway, cuz I love my kitties and the boys are freaking just a little and the cat is making a mess of my house. After several tests, the vet determines that Pirate has a laceration on the inside of his nose (probably from rough-housing with his brother). They close it up with surgical glue and I'm on my way $172 poorer. And this took up my entire afternoon I was supposed to be getting the house ready for Easter company. Oh, well.

Oh, and in the middle of trying to figure out what is wrong with the cat, I discover that the lovely cyclamen plant MIL has purchased to welcome us home is poisonous to cats. And it goes without saying that the kitties have been chewing on the leaves. The plant went to the neighbors.

Oh dear, poor Pirate. What a fab name for a cat by the way.

Ok ladies I found the perfect dresses for us!
Remember there is a couple renewing vows on this cruise and they did invite ALL of us. :lmao:

I think we would all look quite glowing in these. :)

Shame about the church Deborah. Some do have interpreters now - the CofE one we have been visiting does.

Problem with swimsuits is that others notice they are see through before we the wearers do!!!:scared1:
