On trip reports from the 2005 repo I read varying times that people were able to get away from the port. But I think someone very recently posted that DCL has said everyone should be disembarked by 0930.

If you're looking at a 1245 flight, you have to factor in the minimum check-in time, getting through security etc. As well as the time for the journey from the port to LAX.

It's a tricky decision. If you did miss the 1245, are there later flights you could catch? And is it a flexible ticket that would allow you to fly later, or a special price just for that flight?

Can we now ship one box? If so, (sorry for the repeat), can someone tell me the diminesions? And no liquid or food correct?

Next question: Tea - what time is that again? Are we getting them linked up once we board? Is there anything I need to do?

This is the OFFICIAL word not hearsay ar a maybe but what we are honestly ALLOWED to do.

The owner of IDS called the Coast Guard yesterday and told them about us crazy Disney people and our desires to ship boxes of fish stuff and pirate gear. The problem before was the screening of our stuff.The boxes had to have a way to be screened so the Coast Guard is now going to have a dog sniff our stuff that we ship. SO WE CAN SHIP BOXES!!! The owner of IDS arranged this and seems like a very nice guy.

Now the bittersweet part.
1) We are allowed one box shipped per stateroom only.

2)It must be the size of a records box and weigh no more then about 20-25 pounds he said.

3)No alcohol in boxes.

4)No food or drinks. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.

5)Label the box with your sailing vessel, sailing date, stateroom or ressie number and GTY status if you are unassigned yet.

6) make a packing list and put it in a sealed envelope and tape this to the box. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.

7) If your box is hit on by the dog or choosen for addition screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding.

These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail along with other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Hey one box is better then none!

I was off the DIS early but didn't get to bed early! Rose petals are still in the fridge, but John enjoyed his seafood feast! The only thing leftover was the mashed potatoes!

When I lived on St Kitts, these were called 'shirtjacks'. My father wore plain-ish ones for work (the equivalent in the UK of wearing a long-sleeved shirt and tie) and had some fancier embroidered ones for formal functions! The only time anyone wore an actual jacket was for official functions at the Governor's House. (One English chap had a jacket, everyone else used to borrow it - not sure what would've happened if more than one was invited to the same function!)

My DH has a wine glass that holds a whole bottle.

Strangely enough, it doesn't look particularly large. But it does hold a whole bottle.
