Nope. Imitrex makes my heart race bigtime, so I avoid anything in that family of drugs. I take preventive med twice a day, so I only get an actual migraine about once a week or 2 weeks. :thumbsup2 I'm just whiny when I actually get one. ;)

Wow Holly, that seems really often to get a migraine. Do they know what sets it off? My sisters both used to get them at least once a month and the doctor thought it was way too often. They did some testing and decided what it might be that was causing them and both are doing so much better now. With one sister it was dairy and the other it was hormonal. They get migraines maybe once or twice a year for the last few years. Such an improved quality of life.

Has anyone thought about the size of a 12"x12"x6" box. That is 1/2 a cubic ft., I don't think you could get 20# in it if you packed it with rocks. A box that size would handle 1 pair of crocs in a small size.:scared1: Sure hope those dimensions are incorrect.

Doug

That's what I was thinking! I packed one box that is about 24x12x6 and weighs less than 20#. How are you going to get pirate outfits in a 12x12x6 box????

I used to have one about once a week, with only 2 or 3 days of relief in between. Back when I had health insurance, I was tested for everything under the sun and nothing was found. The doc I had back then told me some people have a valve that just doesn't function properly, I can't remember exactly how he explained it, something about a big artery on each side of the neck going up to the head, if some valve in there doesn't close properly the blood flow isn't controlled and causes the pounding. Not sure if that's exactly what he said, but something like that. Basically, it's just the way some people are made. Anyway, I can't do much about it until I get real insurance, so I'm happy with not getting them as often as I used to.

Yes, he really ment a record album storage box size...I don't think that's what he'll be getting though! Just think an 'easy to carry' size up to 20 lbs. My boxes have all been square (like 12/12/12) and I've had to do multiple boxes.

.

What is your time on the Outdoor Adventure? Ours is at 9:30am. We tried to go for an earlier time, but even though it looked open, it wouldn't let us complete the booking. I figured maybe there was only room for 1 person. We had no problem booking the 9:30am one though.

9:30 ALSO! We will be on the same tour.

I have set aside money for the tips. This cruise we're doing 2 excursions (though I don't find them that compelling), and that's about it.

I've budgeted for special coffee at the Cove Cafe and for the night of Shots Around the Ship.

We have never bought photos before and I highly doubt that will change this time. The only possible exception might be a photo on the night in our tuxes, though even that is doubtful.

Oh, and I have set aside money to have our laundry done on the ship. Since realizing how much time it might be to wait for a machine, etc, I decided my vacation hours were worth more.

I have already prepaid into my on board account. My goal is to have zero bills after this trip.

I will be contacting the Hyatt at MCO to see if I can prepay that as well.

Back to Lisa's original question, I still think it's possible to have great time and spend very little money on a cruise. It's all a matter of preferences.

.
Oh no, I forgot about photos and laundry in my budget!!! Argg...I always get tons of photos. If you have any points with credit cards, Hyatt participates in those programs. I got a free night certificate through my Amex points. Wells Fargo Rewards also gives you a gift certificate with their points.

I too wonder why they bring two forks!?!

:lmao: We walked in planning to share that cake between the four of us, but were very happy to see the cupcakes on the menu. Cheri had the red velvet one...the sisiters...all had chocolate.:thumbsup2

Today is 'lazy day' vacation. Drinking tea and reading books until hunger drives us out for breakfast (lunch?). Then some grocery shopping and an errand or two.

We've decided to cook dinner for Peg and DBil on Friday night, and are having trouble with a menu. As I haven't been cooking much, there aren't a lot of supplies on hand. Told Dianne, if I have to buy five different spices....pick another receipe! Any suggestions for a fairly uncomplicated company dinner? Nothing involving soy or terri-ickiey, no peas, nothing requiring a food processor or outdoor grill.

.

wow - I am looknig at PJ's role call and there are a ton of people I don't know. Please forgive me in advance I am very bad with names and faces!

wow - it takes me the entire morning to get this other person's work done and sent on its merry way! She is never allowed to go on vacation again. No one will be doing my work when I am gone.

ME TOO! All my life I've struggled with family members telling me to "just get to the point"! :lmao:

Hehehe- me too! We'll be the chatterboxes of the cruise!

On Sunday I made Tyler Florence's pot roast with crushed tomatoes. It sounds weird, but it came out REALLY good, and it would serve a whole bunch of people. It's really easy too. You just cook the roast in a pot with some olive oil until it's braised on all sides. Then you throw in some carrots, celery, onion and garlic and a can of crushed tomatoes. Add some rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, cover it, and let it cook on low for about three hours. Voila! I made some rice on the side and it was great.

yes, I am done with Ebay unless I am selling something, which I will put on Craigs list first I think.

Any one doing the dolphin encounter and observer?

I booked both but just noticed that the observer does not have the same times as the encounter...the blurb states that they both are done at the same time.....

It must be getting close....I'm starting to knitpick at everything....:confused3

Jackie, did you call and ask him? I was going to do that but I didn't want to hound him if you had already called.

I was thinking that it was a typo and that the actual dimension of a records storage box (Never occurred to me that it might be "record albums" because I don't think anyone even HAS record albums anymore!!) like you buy at Office Depot would likely be 12" x 12" x 16". But if you already talked to him and he confirmed that the last dimension really is 6" then I guess that's that!

I've shipped boxes that were about 18 x 18 x 12 and about 20 x 12 x 10 and didn't have any problem and they were scrapbook stuff and I know they weighed more than 20 lbs each. In fact, for some reason, 46 pounds comes to mind for one box. Paper is heavy you know!

Migraine is still there, but I managed to get it down to a dull roar, so I can function just fine. :thumbsup2

Well I hope you get through the day without it getting worse again.

There are loads of people I don't know too.

I can help with one..... www.eBay.com :thumbsup2
