Hi everyone,

I signed onto the original thread when it first started, but the number of posts were just too much for me to keep up with. I'm still on the cruise though. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Ok to get over my sort of doom and gloom of last week (which is about 1/2 gone... sort of..

I went and bought myself another pair of crocs!!!

I got the Malindi in Cotton Candy!!!

So if anyone else on the cruise has the same in a size 10... :lovestruc :lovestruc I guess we'll have to do the old name on the bottom of the shoe thing my mother used to do in grammar school...:rotfl:

hee hee, had to do that with Molly's AG Dolls, she would take them to play dates and we can't have the wrong doll coming home could we???

The Queen Mum.... (my mom...)

Has gleefully recinded her past request that her subjects please be quiet durring the Kentucky Derby...

She has since realized that the date of said horse race is the week before...

So she will have to stay home, wear her hat and get sloshed all by herself!!! (ok... maybe I'll help!!!)

Thank you ....

Michelle
Queen of the East princess:

Remind us, we'll virtually party with ya :dance3:

GREAT PICS NAN! :goodvibes Although I love the family pic with even the dog included :) , the one of just the kids is beautiful!

Thanks, that's the old dog...she should be going to the light.

The meds we got from the vet aren't working. She had a crazy night last night. I'm so tired....

I was trying to read and catch up. I fell asleepwhile reading. The warm laptop on my lap.....lulls me to sleep. :lmao: :lmao:

Frank was very sick today and the doctor decided to send him back to the hospital. Don has him in the emergency room. They are thinking he may be in liver failure.

Lisa:hug:

Wow, can't believe that other thread. With that being said, may I just remind everyone that nothing is set in stone!

I know at times we have planned our dining rotation based on what shoreside has told us with regards to formal night and then when we got on the ship, the nights were changed and weren't what we thought. RELAX AND REMEMBER YOU ARE ON VACATION! Like Ducky Williams says everytime he does a presentation

HE WOULD RATHER SPEND HIS WORSE DAY AT SEA THAN HIS BEST DAY ON LAND AT HIS OFFICE

With that said, I can't wait for this vacation, and I don't care what I eat, where I dock, etc., I just want to enjoy going through the canal!

Very well stated, and so true. Too many people set unattainable expectations and then explode when those expectations are not met.

Well said!:thumbsup2 I do think we stress too much.

Though I would still like to know our room number.:lmao: :lmao:

I think we sometimes schedule too much and over plan and and forget how to just "go with the flow". Some people need to re-learn the meaning of FLEXIBILITY.

If I let my DH pack for himself he would have one pair of shorts, one pair of pants and no underwear. So that means I would be doing laundry all the time!

No way - he packs it, he launders it :thumbsup2 :lmao:

If keeping Tyler on a routine is important to his treatment you could request main dinding and back it up with the medical needs statement.

That is a very good point and worth thinking about Holly.

Hello. Yes, we can race along somewhat I'm afraid.:) Check out the first page for anything you need to catch up on. Have you got the password for the website? If not pm Pjpoohbear and she will get you on. Lots of info there.

I can't believe that thread. Demanding a refund and threatening to sue for missing CC?

Wow, that was something. After being on the TA, we loved the sea days so much that I can't imagine complaining about the sea days. As for CC it is fun, but DCL is pretty good about changing plans and having something fun to do... as long as their time isn't wasted with people yelling at them.

when can we book DL dining?

I believe it is 3/27.

What is Storytellers like?

Very nice. We had DH's 50th b'day party there and we eat there every Xmas eve. It has menu and buffet. Both very good. It's casual and comfortable with fireplaces at either end of the room.

I totally agree.

Basically they said

Baby Boomers, idealistic, Loyalty to the company. At the job for the duration.

Gen X do not plan on staying with one job or company throughout their career. They won't sacrifice their family for their job. They challenge authority. Self reliant.

Millennials, optimistic, tech orientated, expects answers now.

I am generalizing, I hope to get the detailed info.

What am I if I'm 1961 an inbetweener?

Welcome over here Susie, I was just bragging about your white boards for the midship door monitors on the TA cruise.

OH, we can definitely get a statement from the Dr. No problems.

Goodmorning all,

But how was the "family" ride home?

Also re: phone charger and glasses case, call the hotel and then PM me with the info including your last name and I can pick it up for you this week.

... and good mac and cheese. It was a lucky, last minute get together.

EXactly!

Susie, (SSnyder) who is on our other small thread made 6 cute white boards last year. When everyone had their cabin assignments she designated mid ship white board keepers, so that the master list keeper only has to make the 6 phone calls and the white board keeper changes the signs. There were changes throughout the cruise last year. This worked beautifully. She is on this cruise and may do it again. I'll send her a PM.

Thanks Kelly, this would be great if she can do it since she has done it before. Thank you for letting us know and for PMing her to ask. I hope she says yes, it sounds as if we're really going to need her.

We are so loaded with birds right now! We have doves that come back every year to have their babies and hummingbirds all over the yard.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

I like living in the country for this reason. We never got this many pretty birds in the city. We get Cardinals, Blue Jays, Titmouse, a woodpecker and several other pretty, small birds. Occasionally we even get Finches. Usually the Grackles and Crows stay away from the feeder but yesterday I had a hard time keeping them out so that the prettier birds could eat. Apparently they liked the fact that our feeder is kind of enclosed. Most of the neighbors have feeders that are more open.

Carol

I grew up in central AZ and we would have a cardinal or two in our yard at times. My mom loved them. I remember her putting out sunflower seeds to attract them. We don't have cardinals where I live now, but I still love them. It'd be so cool to see a bunch of them like your picture! Thanks for sharing!

Okay, I have a soap box of stuff I could say to this but I don't want to offend anyone on this thread. You are all remarkable parents and some of the things I would like to say might be misinterpreted. So I will save this conversion for dinner time on the ship. :thumbsup2
