Daniel and I are watching ESPN...your Gators are playing our Hokies in Softball World Series.....The Gators are the # 1 seed and Hokies are not ranked at all. This is the elimation game......5th inning and no score....Tech has been the "surprise" team!

I can't believe it. This is my first chance to sleep in after getting home and I woke up at 7am. Crazy! I think I'll go read in bed and try to go back to sleep just because I can. Have to mow today, and start cleaning for company on Friday (yes, my house is that messy that it will take all week to clean), so I'll rest up now and try to work at that stuff all day & Tyler can help when he comes home. And Tyler's birthday party is tomorrow, but I don't have to do anything for that but show up....and bring the cake. That's the best kind of party! His karate school charged $50 and they allow an unlimited number of kids, they do a one hour karate lesson, games, the kids get a karate bandana & a 3 month free trial, the guys working handle present opening as well as distributing cake to everybody. All I have to do is watch & take pictures.

Holly, wasn't it last year that you put on a "camo" party or something like that? And OTC messed up your order and you were scrambling around trying to get some things together? This one sounds MUCH easier!

Did anyone else get the DCL gift yet?? I PMed a lot of you with what the gift was....I need to go to ebay and see if anything is for sale there yet??

NO! I was just thinking about that this morning! I was telling my sister about it and that I hadn't gotten anything yet. I hope it's just taking it a little longer to make it all the way out west.

I wanted to let you all know that Sukie will be on Public Television on June 3rd. He is appearing in a documentary about Chicago gay history.

Not sure how many of you are aware of it, but in addition to writing two weekly newspaper columns, he is also a historian and is working on a history book. He is somewhat known in Chicago as a history expert in this topic and has spent hundreds of hours doing research.

He appears as a "talking head" in the documentary.

Not sure if it will be airing anywhere else other than Chicago, though it might at a future date.

The name of the program is "Out & Proud in Chicago."

This is sort of a big deal for us. The interviews were shot at our house, and I remember coming home from work several times to find documentary crew packing up and leaving our place.

Sort of exciting. You get to see our built-in bookshelves.

That's very cool! I didn't know anything about Sukie's professional life. I'm going to check and see if it'll be on PBS out here in conservative AZ!

That's my understanding. I've asked before about the Mark Twain but someone else had beaten me to it. Lately, I've been there w/my nephew and he's not interested in doing things like that. I want to make a trip by myself again so I can putz around and do those things. I also love listening to the music over in NOS.

I am getting sick...sounds just like Nan has...and I nver get sick. I feel pretty miserable. But I am doing laundry (I have somneone that comes in once a week to help with laundry...but she does not put anything away)...so I have about 3 weeks worht to put away.....and all I want to do is go to sleep.

I hope all you sick folks get better soon!

I have my second load of laundry on. My sweet Mom stayed at our house while we were gone, so it is clean.

Count me in as another disappointed camper. I'd seen pictures of the one they served on the last PC cruise and I was really excited--then I saw it!

I wonder if the folks on the Eastbound will get one of these? I'd be surprised if they served it again!

I do have to mow the lawn though, it is knee deep. I think I will make the first pass with the mower set high and then let DrHug do the second pass. We have about 3/4 of an acre of grass.....riding lawn mower though so it is not too bad. I'm not even going to think about bagging it!

Good luck with that Angie! It took Scott 7 hours on Monday to get our lawn mowed when we got home. We have about 1 acre of mowable lawn as well....he did bag it though (probably the reason it took so long for him to do).

We are home now! Got home late Thursday, but yesterday was a loss.......slept til 11 am.....we were on West Coast time! Also emptying suitcases, and doing laundry.

I went grocery shopping, and Chuck made Taco meat, and I cut up beef into cubes to put in the freezer.

I've been watching all the shows I recorded while I was gone, all the fnal episodes.....I am sure glad we have a DVR!

I am finally going to download all my photo's onto the computer, and take out the rotten ones!

We went to the Grand Californian for 2 nights after the cruise......what a great hotel! Although the first night we were so tired, we ordered Domino's Pizza for supper.

Then we went to Canyon Lake to see my nephews' new babies.. We had a great visit....one of them is 9 months old and the other one only 3 months! So cute. both boys, of course, our family has a preponderance of boy babies.....only one granddaughter in the bunch!

I'll post some if they turned out!

Oh, yeah, and I forgot to say that I asked for our last 2 bottles of wine to bring with us off the ship, and when we opened them, they were bad! Both bottles had the seals broken, and one was a brown color and the other one was diluted with water, I think! One label said "Display".

Connie it was great talking to you. I kept running into you and your family quite often.

We stayed at DL for 3 nights. Two days we went to DL and one day we went on an LA tour. We had a great time at both. I wish we could of stayed longer. There's always next time.

I wish I could have talked to each one of you. With 15 days it seems like I could have found the time though. I completely forgot about the lunch
meeting. Sorry about that.

Thats right, Omni is coming to visit while my brother is working in San Jose. My daughter is thrilled to get the dog. I, however, am not. Lots of black lab hair all over the house ugh!

And I didn't win everything, Mark won the OBC...I would have loved that! Anything to offset the bill at the end would have been fantastic!

LISA, call for an appointment with your doctor. It takes a few days to get one usually and if you have what I have you need antibotics (I would guess) and REST!!!! I slept in until 11am today and I'm still feeling tired.

Really goofy in more ways than one ...

For some reason, a song that I heard in Topsiders got stuck in my head, "On the Open Road," from the "Goofy Movie."

I finally bought the song on the iTunes store. I have found, for the past few days, that when I get on the bus to go to work, and listen to the song, I have immediate emotional recall of being on the ship and leisurely breakfasts in Topsiders.

For some reason, this goofy song, helps me to recall and relax.
