May 10, 2008 Ship of Thieves...May 2008 Repo Thread...Part 15

We made it to our hotel in Torrance, CA.....we have a one bedroom suite for the next 5 nights. But we're very sad......we lost a bag at the Port.....just could not find it.....someone else may have mistakenly taken it. The saddest part is that it had Webster and Cozy in it.....our stuffed animal babies. We are heart broken. We reported it to lost and found and can only hope that we'll get them back.

In the meantime.....here we are! We'll be doing DL tomorrow morning and hoping to run into more friends that we said goodbye to on the ship and at the port.

California here we come!

NOT the KITTIES???? No, it can't be! We had so much fun seeing them in their adorable wardrobe every theme day. We'll keep a good thought that someone will get to their hotel and realize what happened and you'll be reunited soon. Hope you enjoy our town! I didn't realize you were staying here! Which part of town? Let us know if you need any tips!

We're home too. Got to our friend's house about 1:45 and to our home (with a quick stop thru the Wendy's drive-thru) about 2:30. I'm now on the 3rd load of laundry - will probably be doing laundry all week - picture 15 days worth of clothing for 2 and apartment size stackable washer and dryer...

Thanks to all for making this a trip of a lifetime for us!! My only wish was that I got to meet and spend time with everyone!!

Does anyone else feel lost without a schedule showing them what to do and when?

I was surprised after canal day everyone wasn't sick from going in and out all day. We did have one camera refuse to work after a couple trips between decks - but by the next day it was fine.

Hello everyone, we are home. We have been for hours now but I had to get some sleep. My stomach hasn't been feeling well all day. I can't believe it was 15 days and it wasn't long enough. I didn't even meet some people and I didn't spend as much time as I thought with others. I can't wait to see pictures and post the ones we have. I'm sure most of ours will be of the same people over and over again! It was strange how you would bump into the same people and then never see others at all. Jon had the camera the entire time so I'm sure there is none of him! If anyone has any, let me know. This was a memorable exerience for me and I'm happy that you were all part of it.

I was just wondering what good food to eat!!!! Here is something funny for all my table mates. When we got home I asked Brooke what she wanted for dinner and she said steak and Ethan said fish They both ate off the kids menu everyday even though I told them they didn't have to Jon said they are going to eat mac and cheese for the rest of their lives.

Oh, of course! Yes, I forgot that they were Carol's kitties. I'm so relieved. We had so much fun watching them change wardrobe!


I'm still sad for Deb & John, though. It really sucks to have your treasured possessions disappear (or even just your dirty laundry! It's just so disconcerting! I'm still sure they'll turn up.

I was just wondering what good food to eat!!!! Here is something funny for all my table mates. When we got home I asked Brooke what she wanted for dinner and she said steak and Ethan said fish They both ate off the kids menu everyday even though I told them they didn't have to Jon said they are going to eat mac and cheese for the rest of their lives.

We had REAL pizza!!! In&Out burgers tomorrow for sure!!!

Yes, and I'm really lost without Ricardo & Erwin to serve me dinner! I had to send David out to get something because I'm just not up to grocery shopping today. Maybe tomorrow...

Is anyone else exhausted? Erik and I have both slept half of the day! David & Alison both fell asleep in front of the TV for a couple of hours before she went off to a party. I do have the excuse of being sick, but even so, you'd hardly know I'd been on vacation at all, I'm so tired! And all I had to do was get my butt off the ship, into the car then haul it into bed!

I bet quite a few people didnt get their bags. So many look alike that it would be easy to take someone elses. And even easier to TAKE one that didnt belong to you! Shame, but there is those out there that would do that and its not like the porters check the names on the tags!

I know exactly what you mean. There are some people I was sure I'd meet, but I just didn't, but I kept running into the same people all the time. I figure it's just because I recognized them. I probably would have noticed the others if I'd known who I was looking for! Thank Goodness for the Nametags!

But really, we kind of kept to ourselves a bit. It was SO good for our family to just spend time together, and for David and I to just relax. (If you can call racing from one activity to the next for 15 days relaxing!!!) The kids had a fabulous time at the Stack, though. I think it was the perfect blend of "alone" time vs. social time, although I would have loved to hang out with my DISbuds a litte more. Maybe next time!

We would hang out with everyone and then spend "a little" time together. Then everyone would wonder where we were. It was fun to have a mixture. We did get the pleasure of hearing Eric sing on our first night. That was fun since Ethan was his secret mickey so he was excited he could sing.

Darrell has been asleep the last few hours - I'm on load 4 of laundry...
