HI everyone! I've been reading your board while you are away....we leave tomorrow on the Magic and can't wait. I was just reading the post about the Nikki Beach resort. Can someone explain this to me? Is it somewhere you can just go for the day and use their facilities? Or was this an excursion? I'm trying to figure out what to do with my ds 8 and dd 6 and dh of course for the day in Cabo. Thanks for any explanation.

Tracey

Hi Tracey.....it's our last day onboard.....we go home tomorrow.....so we're packing out right now.

We did a DCL excursion in Cabo at the Nikki Beach resort. It was a half day excursion where you got on a bus and it drove through town to the hotel. We were able to use the pool and facilities at the hotel but had to sit on the beach......it was beautiful. They had platforms with large cushions for lounging so you weren't in the sand. The water however was rough. I waded in up to my ankles and got knocked over and could not get out on my own, the current was too strong. They gave us lunch and drinks which were included. Then the bus drove us back to the pier but let some people off in town who wanted to shop.

I hope I have answered your questions and have a great time in Cabo when you get there. I loved it.

Thanks for your reply. You can tell I never really looked at the excursion info since we weren't going to do any. I've been following your cruise the whole way, reading Deb (from mouseears, I think it is,) blog, I watched all the web cams going through the canal, its' been fun keeping up with you all. I couldn't even imagine a 15 day cruise. The longest I"ve done is 10 days (not DCL) and that seems to be about my limit.

Welcome back or to California to all of you. Our weather stinks right now. We were over 100 degrees last week and this week we are freezing (well to us californians, 60's is freezing) and there's been rain showers the past couple of days. Looking forward to the warm Mexican weather!

Thanks again for answering my post.

Tracey

Angel,
Did you take any screen shots of the web cam pictures of us going through the PC? Did anyone?

Today has been a really nice day--translate that as "Not much going on compared to other days"!;)

I held Homework Club this morning, had a nice lunch at Lumier's, went to hear Ducky Williams speak and am now relaxing at Quiet Cove on a big double lounge chair, looking out at an amazingly calm sea. Tonight is Twice Charmed and Semi-Formal night.

Life is good!!!!!:flower3:

Many people who were able to get access to the web cams took shots and there are a couple of short videos of it all put together. They have been posted in various places and can probably be compiled on your meets thread when you guys get back. :)

Thanks to all for making this a magical vacation. We are sad to get off the ship tomorrow in LA. Look forward to talking to you all on the dis!

We are in LA now. I am sitting at breakfast looking at Nan, Cheri, Jackie, Deb, Tammy, Kaylee, Lisa and everybodies families.

I am sad to be getting off, but I miss my girls so much...get to see them tomorrow.

Weather was great (except the last few days were cool). They just said we could get off. :-( goodbye for now my friends!!!

Hey! I guess we're the first ones home! Not that hard to do when you live 15 minutes from port!!!

Wow, what an amazing experience. I'm sad that I didn't get around to meeting everyone as I had hoped and I somehow kept missing all the photo ops, but I sure was excited about those I did meet, even right up to meeting Marilyn up on deck 10 this morning at 6am!

I'm also feeling lucky that I can go any Sunday and watch the Magic come and/or go.

Miss you all already and looking forward to seeing everyone check in as they get home.

Any plans for meets tomorrow at Dland?

~Tracy

We got home just about the same time!!! You guys must have gotten off late, as we had a longer ride home. V will post pics as soon as we wade thru them. Glad to be home, and boy is our cat not happy!!!

We got home right after you, neighbor.

Great times with friends old and new!

We made it to our hotel in Torrance, CA.....we have a one bedroom suite for the next 5 nights. But we're very sad......we lost a bag at the Port.....just could not find it.....someone else may have mistakenly taken it. The saddest part is that it had Webster and Cozy in it.....our stuffed animal babies. We are heart broken. We reported it to lost and found and can only hope that we'll get them back.

In the meantime.....here we are! We'll be doing DL tomorrow morning and hoping to run into more friends that we said goodbye to on the ship and at the port.

California here we come!

Hey guys, I woke up at 4:30 and watched us float past our house (could see all the landmarks.) We were first off the ship (thanks to Susie) and 90 min. later still missing a bag and finally left the port and headed home without it. So sick we headed straight to the doctor where he wouldn't give me anything but OTC meds that my regular doctor told me not to take... then got to the pharmacy and the OTC meds he prescribed don't exist. I have 4 hours of lectures on Wed & Thurs., so I'll call my doc when she returns on Tuesday. UGH! I'm going to bed instead of unpacking. Chilly day back here at home and hopefully it's not raining on DL. Good thing the rest of the trip was excellent with a bit of a hiccup at the end. Have fun and safe travels home everyone.

WELCOME HOME!!!:welcome:

Thanks for all of the pics and posts, we really enjoyed sharing the cruise with you all!!

Deb and Kelly(?), I hope that you get your bags back, that's so unfortunate after a great trip!

Have a great time in D-Land to those of you who are going.

XO,

Karen, wife of been2marceline

Yes, we saw you in line, WAY ahead of us. We were in the 2nd group off, (Flounder) but then we got routed over to the "non U.S. Citizens" line, where we stood for more than 30 minutes without moving. I never did figure out what the holdup was, but we watched both of the next 2 groups breeze past us in the other line. I thought there was going to be a riot for awhile! They finally figured out how to let us go to the U.S. Citizens windows from the "non" line and we got going. But our friend who was picking us up got kind of lost on the way to the port so we got home a little later than we normally would have.

Our 4 cats were very wary of us as well! But they're now all sprawled out all over me so I guess all is forgiven!

Oh, Kelly, how disappointing to lose a bag after all that. I sure hope it turns up! I didn't know you were sick, too! I'm flat on my back in bed today. I slept for about 3 hours. My voice is starting to come back, but I have a cough that just won't quit and a headache that feels like the top of my head is going to blow off. I'm just so thankful we didn't have to get on a plane and fly anywhere today. I was kind of okay until I got home, though. Kind of like when you're a little kid and fall down and hurt yourself and you hold it together until you see mom, then you lose it! David really wanted me to go to the Dr. too, but I figured they wouldn't be able to do anything more than several hours of good sleep will accomplish!

Hope you feel better soon!
