Just checking in here.

Sitting in our hotel room having put the kids to bed after our last night in Disneyland. Tomorrow is another sad day on the trip. Probably the saddest of the bunch.

We fly home, thus ending one huge vacation. Shaelyn (DD6) was quite upset leaving the park this evening. She really didn't want to go.

But I guess we have to in order to pay off this trip and get planning for the next (I heard Disney Magic to Japan in 2010 somewhere, right Steph?)!

I will do a proper check in later when we actually get home and a little settled. Consider this a drive by posting.

Nite all!

Safe travels!!!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: She was very "happy" wasn't she?!

Well a good morning to me!!! How did I miss your original comment Nan?! Yup, that was my happy day and I'm not telling how many 2 for 1 drinks I had:lmao:

I've been reading everything but haven't posted much. I make replies in my head to almost every post, but haven't had the energy (mental, as well as physical) to write a lot.

I've been very foggy all day. I've thought many times of your folks that had to go back to work today--you definitely have my condolences! I've definitely had the "re-entry to real life" hangover today.

I've really been enjoying everyone's pictures! I've also been reading the trip reports that have been posted so far. It looks like there were lots of good times going on that I missed out on!

I realized when I got home that I'd left my iPod in the rental car in Phoenix. This was not a false alarm like the sunglasses--I thought I'd left my sunglasses in my rental car at Cocoa Beach, but they finally turned up. Anyway, I called Jackie and she went by the rental place. It was already closed, but she looked inside our vehicle and saw the iPod bag on the floor of the car. I'm happy to report that my sister's nanny picked it up for me today so it's safe and sound!

I MISS EVERYONE!:( It was so much fun to be surrounded by friends! Hope everyone is doing well and adjusting to reality as well as can be expected!

I know the feeling of being in the fog, glad you were able to recover your Ipod. I think I missed some of those "special moments" too, but there were lots of them too that I did not miss!

One of my favorite was the tuna sashimi from the last night....and Putu actually said he wouldn't recom. that but I went with it anyway.

I had that also and thought is was great!

I meant adventure for the ca peeps..I'm done with disney for a while. Need some adult fun...heehee

Where and when? We'll be there. Were you thinking Vegas? Is that adult enough?

OOOOHHH vegas...I haven't been there in a while. That could be fun! I need to pay off my credit card..ouch, but we should talk, maybe in early-mid fall when the weather is good?

Count me in, just give me enough time to plan for the care workers for the boys!

ok...party at bubba and V's...I know lori and tim will come, gayleans in..I'm sure I can get marr to come...we'll have a grand ole time with some good mexican tequilla...

I can bring the Scotch or Rum!

Oh..you got me. I only drank tequilla mixed in to the dod's. Some of those were damn good...did anyone get recipes on them?
I'm a vodka girl...all the way!

Steph, I was told it was you who brought the two plastic bottles with green tops full of Tequilla into the Rockin' Bar D that night?

Me too. It's too slow or I'm too sober, I can't decide :lmao:

I know I am too sober!;)

Well you do know what she can do to a double magnum!

But is it infused with caffine?

Believe it or not, we will not be wearing tuxes. It will be very simple. Just the two of us, the officiate and the witnesses. The witnesses will be rented since we don't know anyone in Windsor.

I'm waiting until I get to my WW meeting on Sunday to weigh myself. I don't know how I'm going to face my members!

Ian, both events will go very smooth for you. As you know, just tell your members that you just start again and that it was vacation. Above all else, don't kick yourself! You and Sukie do need one other person at your wedding, a photographer because the boys and I want to see photos! I want to see you both stepping on the glasses!

:teeth: I am just so happy to have my Charmin back. Fifteen days of that sandpaper bathroom tissue is killer!

Thanks Steve. There will be photos, but I believe both of us will either be in jeans or shorts depending on the weather. This is sort of anticlimatic after 21 years.

We have however have discussed having a second, "fancier" ceremony in Chicago at my synagogue and are going to be meeting with my rabbi. I wish I could do all of it in Chicago, but unfortunately, Illinois is behind the times.

We could do it in California, perhaps a Disneyland wedding, but don't want to delay it any longer, so, Canada here we come.

I'll keep everyone posted if there is to be a second "formal" wedding. I like the idea of a chuppah (canopy) and stepping on the glasses.

I SO totally agree!!! I think I'll be adding some of my own tpee for my next cruise!

Wow. I missed out in Cabo. I guess we'll have to go back!

Well I'm off today to go to an assembly. Brooke is performing and the teacher has finally decided to give Ethan a citizenship award since he was gone most of the month :lmao: :lmao: I am one proud mom, especially of Brooke because her throat hurts so bad but she had to go because the teacher told her that everyone had to be there  Don't worry, the doctor said she wasn't contagious after 2 days.

The good news is that I don't have to work much because the kids are on conference schedule. I have a great boss.

We didn't get extras on the shampoo or conditioner either, until the last few days & I hate to tell you I left bottles there. I didn't like the smell, neither did Paul. I wish I knew you wanted them, sorry.:(

TRI (the wonder host) taught Wilson how to make the big turtle. He used lots of "props" the best I thought were my reading glasses on a snake. I'll upload and post later.

Ben went to the towel folding demonstration and then made towel animals for our room steward the rest of the trip. The room steward got a kick out of it.
