Oh yes, definately a midwest thing. It took me a couple of my childhood years to train her (hehe) to put JUST MUSTARD on my bologna sandwich.
However, I still love white bread, butter and dill pickle sandwiches!

.

When my folks come for a visit, I just surrender to the butter.

I also like butter on my jelly side of a pbj. I t keeps the bread from geting soggy.

Cruise Question.....

What is the actual time that you can pull into the port and start dropping off luggage and get through security? I keep getting different answer.

The terminal opens up at 10am. I've lined up as early as 930am - able to hand over luggage to the porter then and just waited for the doors to open.

I feel left out...on our last cruise everyone seemed to be on deck 6!! Now it's 7! I am way down below!

V, I think there are so many of us that most decks will be pretty full. By my count I only have 25 people on deck 7. I think when rooms got assigned there were more than that listed for Deck 6.

Besides, it's not like we are going to be spending that much time in our rooms! I am in a cave so I highly doubt you will find me there other than to sleep and get changed.

Airborne is in the midst of a big lawsuit here for false claims. I have never felt it was a good product but I know many patients who think it is wonderful. Personally I use Immune Fizz, made by Zip Fizz. It was designed by a doctor and has a bit more punch to it in terms of herbal support. The kids get 1/4 packet 2x per week all through the school year and they have been healthy, except for the time I took them off and Tay got that horrible flu. We'll be taking that with us on board plus my selection of strange, rare and peculiar meds!

Don't they sell it at Costco but under a different name? (Immune Fizz)

John has been at the hospital all week with Manual. Manual is really improving and is very responsive. he still can not talk and it is very frustrating for both John and Manual. John just mentioned last night that this is the first year his entire life that he has not been to church any night of holy week. he is going to try to go tomorrow night but will depend on how tired he is.

Glad to hear things are still moving positively Amy!! Still keeping you and yours in our thoughts!

no, we are on 2 again...but last cruise it seemed our group was on 6, now it looks like 7!

We have about 30 cabins on deck 6! And that's just the ones I know about.

BTW, dec 6 people, Kelly (edna mode) is our floor monitor!

Sad news....I had to give up my hotel on the ocean in LA....sorry Woody, not in your neighborhood anymore, but we can still do the Cheesecake Factory for a meal together.

We filed our taxes on Feb 10th and were due to receive a substantial refund of a few thousand dollars. We were going to save it for our trip. Well it's almost cruise time and we still have not received it yet. The IRS says we are still due to receive it but somehow it got lost in some black hole and they are taking 30 days to review and then if it doesn't get to us they'll pass it on to another area and they will take another 30 days to review it, etc.

The bottom line is, we didn't get it in time for our vacation and all of our disposable income and then some has been going to Ray, stepdad, for his care. So our available funds for this vacation just got sucked dry. We knew we weren't going to cancel, but we had to scramble to reschedule everything to fit our new budget.

We had to cancel our Sept 08 cruise and we transferred that deposit to this cruise. We canceled our oceanfront suite in FL to a regular room in the same hotel. We had to cancel our oceanfront balcony in LA and changed hotels completely. We are now staying at Staybridge Suites in Torrance for free. We cashed in some priority club points. We're still staying 5 days in LA and then going on to Vegas. The Luxor is already paid for.

I'm sad about my downgrades but I'm glad that I'm still going. Life is real. God Bless the IRS!

I'm sorry to hear this but glad you will still be on the cruise. I don't know if it applies to you guys but I received an email today saying that if you had your refund directly deposited into your account you would get the economic stimulus refund on May 2. Again, I don't know if you qualify but maybe this will be useful to someone.
