Oh I know time goes by way too fast! I just remember seeing a pic of Ryan this summer and he still had that boyish look, in your pic he had that "tweenish" look!.......

I am not sure how to pack the toiletries....they are heavy. I was putting them in a zippered beach type bag, but IDK.

Oh, my toiletries would fill a whole suitcase!

and my makeup! That's a small train case!

Now I won't have much of that thankfully as I need the space.

We finally are getting just a few min. of sun. But it is so cold! This really feels like Feb. Am I in a time warp? We also had some hail a bit ago with some thunder thrown in. Probably be sending that your way also.

Similar here - when will the proper weather come. I want warmth and sun. I had been hoping to at least get a little colour before we go. goiong to have to be out of a bottle.

I didn't think it was that bad. Also they have the good stuff in the rain forest room showers. and the other showers that you can use that are in the gym. Those showers are bigger and easier to use than the shower in the room too. I might make a habit of bailing on our room for showers and letting Paul get the kiddos cleaned up and I can shower in peace.

A good day today, even though most of it was again at the hospital.

Manuel continued to improve all day, came off of medications, stopped bleeding, and . . .

OPENED HIS EYES!​

Even though there was no consciousness there, it was an amazing improvement. Our favorite nurse, Neil was there tonight, and told us that he has NEVER seen anyone go through this many blood products and survive.

My brother went through 76 units of blood products! That includes blood, plasma, and platelets. Unbelievable. We are hoping and praying he holds this improvement for more than a day, and continues to make additional improvement.

Dis was not hacked. Dis webmasters are trying to prevent people on that other site from linking to pages on the Dis. They screwed up their programming and redirected everyone. This was done by the Dis webmasters.

We will be heading on our roadtrip to take my mom to my brother's tomorrow. It is a 4 hour drive each way, so we will be gone early morning to late evening. We packed a bunch of Thanksgiving stuff in my car to take to my niece. We are passing the Thanksgiving torch to her and her DH so they get all the plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, crockpots, coffee urn, tables, chairs , etc that goes with it. It will help empty out our garage when we get it all moved to their house. Tomorrow will be a start. I hope to send more when my brother brings my mom back on the 29th.

The potential buyers from CA did fly up and look at our property today. I am really trying to not get my hopes up, but....I really HOPE this is the right person.

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to post that I had a wonderful time - the bad part about it was that I didn't get a chance to visit with everyone - I was so fascinated with my tablemates that I'm afraid I was a bad DIS-ser. I didn't get around to meeting up with everyone.

I have one question for anyone - I managed to skim the last couple of pages and here is my question - is there anyone that was at the meet that would not like to see their picture on here? I was the one that went around taking "family" pictures and/or individual pictures - lady with the glasses and Canon camera?

Again - just getting permission as I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

Let me know and I won't post. I didn't get any others just faces so that I could place a name to a face.

I'll check in later.

Ok... so here's the deal...

I got sick 2 weeks ago... it turned into bronchitis and I've been coughing my brains out ever since then... I'm sleeping really crappy (not getting to sleep until dawn most nights - I just can't sleep when I feel this bad...) I'm on antibiotics, an inhaler, cough meds with codeine and my mom is making me slather on enough Vicks to suffocate a small country...

& this is my quandry....

I'm supposed to go down to Jersey tomorrow to work... it's not my regular job... I fill in from time to time for a friend at their family company because their son has Cerebral Palsey and when he's off from school, she has to take off.

Usually I've got no problem... but I'm not kicking this yet and I just know that if I push it's going to just make it worse for me and I'm afraid it's going to get worse...

My brain is telling me to stay here at home and go back to the Dr. on Monday... so I have to call my friends and tell them I cannot come down. Which means that they have to get a temp, which is fine, but they won't have coverage until they can send someone...

& I feel guilty... big time...

But I do have a once in a lifetime cruise to go on in a couple of weeks and I'm afraid if I get to the port sick, they are going to turn me away and I'm going to get stuck waving goodbye to you and my mom (cause she ain't gettin off if I have anything to say about it...) from Grills...

Somebody tell me to stay home... please...

And Angie... can you write me a note... I don't think I'm going to make it to school on Monday...

I'm here - posting on the main thread. I'm wondering if we are on the group Palo brunch if it is still worthwhile to stand in line at check-in to try to get another brunch for just DH and I. Anyone have any ideas???

To be honest I think that there are sooooo many cruisers that don't have a ressie at all that they will want to give spare ressies to those before us, though I do agree it would be nice.
