Someone posted about the deck parties. I thought I read that there were 5 planned.

Tropcial, Mexican, Pirate, Panama. What's the 5th one?

I like the string and can idea, but guess what - we have telephones don't we?

I'd have to remember your room number to call you on the phone. Better to just have to pick up the can.

I know there is a trick with a pattern in the carpet on the ship, but I don't remember what it was.

There is a mall by parents that I have been going to since the early 70's. I Still do not remember which side Sears or Penneys is on when I come out of Fields.

Pattern, what pattern? Oh, the one DCL, DH and everyone else keeps telling me to look at. Fine I look at it but I never remember what I was told.

How about Triplets. I think we will have a good table.

There is, and although DrHug has 5 years more experience at being a geezer than me, he actually remembers the trick and can head me off in the right direction. If he is not with me then I just try to get to midship and figure it out from there.

DH has 4 years on me and can find his way around just fine. Of course he was in the Navy and I am an ex Army Brat so....

We don't have an RV , but we had a little dog.

We loved our little pupster, but when he died this past Oct, I never realized how much we had to adapt things for travel.

Not having to plan for his care when we leave the house for extended times has been nice.

I don't think we'll get another pet.

We are lucky that we have family across the street that house sit for us. But if that doesn't work the groomer at our vet said she would watch him anytime we wanted. She has a puppy just like ours only a couple of months older.

Sounds good to me. Then when I get tired I can just fall into bed.

We're geezers, we can't handle new technology like those new fangled phones.

I'll tell DH. But it may be a little hard for him to drink his milk. I'll just get him a straw.

That could work. I'll have my hot skim milk before my afternoon nap. I'm having hot skim. I have to watch my CHOLESTEROL.

I don't like plain milk, warm or other wise. How about hot chocolate or tea?

glasses....you mean the reading ones, the ones to see the computer or the ones to see far away......or the shades to hide our eyes after missing our afternoon delight (nap....get you minds out of the gutter)

Oh my, how many times have we set off to get something and forgotten what it was. Or worse yet, looking for our glasses while we are wearing them.

Unfortunately this happens more times a day than I would like disclose.

Thanks for all the laughs, guys. I can tell I am making progress with my depression issues. I was really laughing hard over all this.

Jacinda is shy at first. Then all hell breaks loose once she warms up to you. So strangers think she is shy and her friends think she never stops talking. No idea where she got that from though.

Brooke is just shy even with her best friends.

I think we will bounce around. Maybe do a few room visits and party on deck a bit. For me part of the excitement is being in the thick of it all. No I do not like shoving or pushing but will visit the decks each to sort of wander the ship on this day. I think no matter what you do this will be a very special day and part of it is sharing it not only with my kids but all the other friends I have made here as well. I am really excited people.

We can tell. The rest of us are not at all. That's why we are on here all the time.

Hadn't really noticed that, but the Europeans tend to write 1's like that. We aren't Europeans you know, we're Brits!!!

OH hey all the nail thread had me worried so I called DCL and they had to call the ship but they called me back and said that YES they can do a full set of acrylic nails on the ship!

So I can book an appointment for a fill after I get onboard!

I was thinking I was going to be wandering mexico looking for a nail salon.

Good news! I was wondering about this too! I'll need a fill midway through.

Finally got our flights today! We did them through DCL so I was a little worried about the flight, layovers, not sitting together, sitting in the back of the plane, etc. But boy was I wrong! We got a flight out of LAX at 9:35 am, it is a non-stop flight and we are together in row 16! Couldn't have done it better myself! I'm so happy!
