Brian, you are so cute (I have never laid eyes on the man honest), never around and then your name is mentioned, out you pop, lol. Sort of like a little brother at a teenage girls slumber party.

A bit like Venetia when a pirate is due!!!:rotfl:

Marilyn, I haven't planned anything, which is so not me at all. Dennis/Angie and Kim are all taking charge of me it is so different.

Heading out home, see you all on the flip side.

darn it, I think we are heading out by that time on Thursday for HMB/dinner in the city, weekend in Shasta County for a gokart race.

If some time frees up between now and then call me, short notice is ok, just call if you feel like it :goodvibes

Serious protests in London, Paris and soon to be SF against China human rights. Scary stuff, Marr, no flame for us...too much controversy I think.

They still have not released the route due to all the protests thus far. They will be having a ceremony too but not sure if I want to take the kids to that one either. Maybe just Jacinda and not Dominic. Will see after plans are announced.

You guys all talk so fast, it is hard to keep up. I just happened to pop on after lunch for a few minutes and saw the post.

And if you are having a slumber party, can I interest you in a tickle fight?? ;);););)

poor thing. How old is he?

One of my co-worker's lost her husband to skin cancer just about two years ago. He was 42, she has two children who are now 13 and 11. A girl and a boy. It has taken some time but he too was missing a lot of school, being sick, etc. They seem now to be healing and doing better.

Lisa, please don't feel guilty. Your boys are as important to you, if not the most important. You and your DH tried to make it work. Maybe it is just not meant to happen. I think you are an amazing mom and your boys will always remember this special trip with their mom and dad.

Tammy, my heart hurts for you and your kids. Losing a loved one so suddenly takes lots of time to get over, if we really ever "get over" it. I lost my mom very suddenly in Aug. I still relive that phone call almost daily. And I think the only thing worse would be the loss of my DH.
Life is made up of laughter and tears. This trip will help us all learn to laugh again.  to you and your son and daughter.

Tammy, I read your comment, and I have to tell you that I think you don't need to do anything or read anything for anyone but yourself and kids. This is your situtation, no one should place any kind of requirement on you for information. I so wish I could offer you a sheild away from all this. Just a few short weeks and you will be on the boat and we are not those people, we will offer solace and smilies away from all this sadness.

watch that thumb

Sounds like he is a little broken down and needs his mom. Good thing you are such a good mother to your kids! How wonderful that they have you.

Kim

Thanks everyone for listening and your support. My son is 16 but the poor little thing really does apply to him. He is so confused and is trying to cope but gets really really sad. My daughter is taking it better on a day to day basis, but has biweekly meltdowns.

Delta Update... I sent email to Delta about the baggage. This is there exact reply.

Thank you for contacting us.

Due to rising fuel costs and business decisions reflecting today?s competitive landscape, Delta will begin charging $25 for a second checked bag for Domestic passengers traveling on or after May 1st. This fee and baggage limitation affect non medallion members travelling on a economy ticket.

SkyMiles Medallion members, as yourself, and First/Business Class passengers will be exempt from this fee and will continue to be allowed to check up to 2 bags at no additional charge.

Also, we do offer an exception for Medallion members and First/ Business Elite customers. Please keep in mind that this is not a rule, but an exception that may be subject to availability and weight restrictions on the flight that you are on. This exception is for Delta aircraft only.

This exception will allow each passenger that falls into the above mentioned category, one additional piece of baggage at no charge and an exemption from the overweight fee for each bag that is 51-70 lbs.

Rarely does the weight and baggage issue keep us from offering this 3rd checked bag exception but, please be aware that it is possible.

Again, thank you for writing. We appreciate your selection of Delta and will always welcome the opportunity to be of service.

Thanks....I don't fly enough to be a medallion member so I will be paying the extra $25 ($50 with DH). Truth be told, we still have a good fare and I would have paid it plus the $25. from the get go.

This will be a mess to sort out competative pricing esp. if the service providers can change after you purchase tickets.....

isn't a tetnus for when you get a deep cut?

Can be - you know when we clean up from a hurricane and are walking over who knows what type of debris in fallen down fences (flash back to 2004). We were lucky then, why it took a dive trip to Mexico for me to get the shot (2005) but am glad I did...

ok who OUTBID me on THREE custom sets by the same person??! I had to work today so it's probably a good thing I didn't win any of them.

Asparagus and mushrooms are cooking with corn on the cob and london broil. Everyone is in the pool...

PJ - do you have to ask...you know John will clear your plate for you!
