Well, they still look adorable to me, so I think the camera works great Samantha's hair looks great!

If you buy a Mac, you can go to an Apple store and make an appointment to ask a Mac expert questions, or to solve a problem. Best Buy tried to copy the idea with their "Geek Squad", which is a poor imitation.

& clean underwear... can't let the beer boys get us on this one... technicality... don't want any points taken for non bedazzled ones either...

don't know if I like the camera....didn't seem to take as good as pictures as my old smaller camera....

It was someone (an unnamed Canadian) who turned me on to the Chumby.

It was love at first site for me. It has everything going for it:

• It's electronic
• It's Internet enabled
• It has wifi
• It's cute
• It's S Q U I S H Y

I knew almost at once I HAD to have one.

• It will replace a creaking old radio in my kitchen.
• I am planning to stream radio through it (NPR of course).
• Use it as a clock.
• Stream iTunes through it.
• Have it display the weather.
• Have it display my trip countdown.
• Have it cycle through photos in it's spare time acting as an electronic picture frame.

One has to name a Chumby. You assign it a name when you register it with on the Chumby network (the name can always be changed).

I have decided to name my Chumby, "Mrs. Bennett."

On another note .... I was asked what the toaster and coffee maker were named. They are not named ... at the moment .....

You have though given me a very good idea.

I think Margaret would suit the coffee maker and Ethel might suit the toaster.

"Damn it Ethel! You burned the toast! Again! I swear, if you don't shape up soon, I'm going to dump you and start cruising Target to pickup someone else!"

Oh and my grandmothers name was Ethel... we called her Honey - when my siblings started having kids I reminded them of grandma's sage advice... "Never name a child Ethel..."

Daytime weather is usually pleasant in May, but it can cool down in the evening. A sweater or sweatshirt should suffice.

Hi, miss you guys. Well, we had to admit Frank (DFIL) back into the hospital this morning. I am sitting at his bedside now typing on the bberry. He has a very sick stomach and a high fever. They think it is his gall bladder. While in the emergency room he got the worst case of the hiccups and they have given some drugs but he still has the hiccups.

His roommate is crazy. He is screaming and yelling all kinds of crazy stuff. He looks like he is very old and very sick. He should be in a private room. The nurse said they are trying to get an order for meds to calm him. Oh what a nightmare.

Time for bed. Took me an hour and a half to clear snow tonight. That was AFTER I had to fix the blower. It started revving really high - I thought it was going to blow up! It is a Deere two stroke single stage blower. I called the hardware store, and they thought it was the throttle governor. I went back out to the garage with a wrench with Amy yelling "you're not a mechanic!"

As it turns out, it was the muffler - it had shaken so bad, that the two long bolts that hold it over the engine head had completely vibrated off. Simple fix.

The snow that fell today was really wet and really heavy. It took several passes to clear the drive and the walks.

John - you use a snow thrower? We must be a hardy bunch here in Chicago! I was out at 5:00 AM today with my shovel and a bucket salt.

Then after I finished shovelling the snow, I milked the cows, slopped the hogs (or is that slapped the hogs), helped the neighbors with a barn raising, and then walked 10 miles to school, where I had to chop 75 cords of wood to stoke the stoves to get up a good head of steam to power the wood burning laptops!

Well ... maybe I just shoveled the snow, and I did use only a shovel and then salted the side walk.

Admittedly, I only do the front sidewalk, and that's only about 25 feet. But, was out there at 5:00 AM and it was all handcrafted Chicago shoveling!

Yeah, I'm waitin with my $25 check for the guy down the street to come do my driveway...

I am sure v will be out here more than me....now that she has an extra computer...maybe I can research my fantasy team come football season without being pushed out by the disney boards.....and she hasn't signed me up for anything crazy has she/ although I would expect it.

Ok, life as a single dad and working in accounting is catching up with me. Hope there was nothing too important in the last 35 pages from today that I missed. I am taking a short break from the work I brought home as I am coming up on our Fiscal Quarter end and that means lots to do. So if I am not lurking, know that I am here in spirit. I would have slept through the big Northridge Earthquake in '94, except it woke my ex-wife up and she grabbed a large patch of my chest hair, pulled, and screemed "EARTHQUAKE." I had no choice but to follow my hair as she was jumping about! Thankfully the boys did sleep through it and her rantings!
