So...

How ya doin???

We got 8 inches of snow today... I officially called in for a snow day, but since I work at home... :lmao: Still in my jammies from last night... man I hate this job... :rotfl:

hi Michelle, bye Michelle, I'm tired and tv is not keeping my interests..time for bed....:cloud9:

No passports yet???

V . . . Get on this PRONTO! Don't want to be waving at you from the ship as we leave port!

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Priority #1!!!! Passports!!!!!! Don't do anything else until you get them!!!! With the spring break and summer people signing up... there may be a delay.... hurry and get them!!! Otherwise you may have to pay to expidite them and I'd rather you use that money onboard!!!

Rant over.... :)

If you buy a Mac, you can go to an Apple store and make an appointment to ask a Mac expert questions, or to solve a problem. Best Buy tried to copy the idea with their "Geek Squad", which is a poor imitation.

But they have SUCH cute cars!!!

Is everyone staying at a DL hotel. We are staying at Candy Cane Inn since we will only be there one day.I am thinking in 2009 going to DL, SW, USH, and seeing California in general.

Grand Californian... I'm just going into debt more and more... :lmao:

Nope, your not. I'm leaving tomorrow and sailing Thursday for 3 nights! I HATE WINTER!

Have a GREAT time Linda!!! Think of us!!! (here at home...shoveling snow...)

What is everyone wearing for the Champagne girls tasting? I have to buy a pik outfit and was looking for some ideas.
Kathie

I'm packing a very nice pink shirt...

For all of those in the lifebaots with me, I thought you would like to see our accomodations -
P8040018.jpg
Looks pretty plush to me!

Oh I don't know... it's the color... can't we redecorate???? It's so....yellow.... :)

We are using DVC points at GC

How long are you staying??? We're there until the 30th

I'm going to be wearing a pink top....with what ever shorts I have clean that day :rotfl2:

& clean underwear... can't let the beer boys get us on this one... technicality... don't want any points taken for non bedazzled ones either... ;)

don't know if I like the camera....didn't seem to take as good as pictures as my old smaller camera....

I think the pics lood great... keep practicing and yes, read the book... (I never do either....)

Of course we can do the Photo Op.

I'm checking to see if Sukie and I can have our appearance times posted in the Navigator along with the other characters.

Be careful... Nan will have you signed up with EVERYONE every NIGHT!!! & she'll want Xmas cards done too!!!

It was someone (an unnamed Canadian) who turned me on to the Chumby.

It was love at first site for me. It has everything going for it:

  • It's electronic
  • It's Internet enabled
  • It has wifi
  • It's cute
  • It's S Q U I S H Y
I knew almost at once I HAD to have one.

  • It will replace a creaking old radio in my kitchen.
  • I am planning to stream radio through it (NPR of course).
  • Use it as a clock.
  • Stream iTunes through it.
  • Have it display the weather.
  • Have it display my trip countdown.
  • Have it cycle through photos in it's spare time acting as an electronic picture frame.
One has to name a Chumby. You assign it a name when you register it with on the Chumby network (the name can always be changed).

I have decided to name my Chumby, "Mrs. Bennett."

On another note .... I was asked what the toaster and coffee maker were named. They are not named ... at the moment .....

You have though given me a very good idea.

I think Margaret would suit the coffee maker and Ethel might suit the toaster.

"Damn it Ethel! You burned the toast! Again! I swear, if you don't shape up soon, I'm going to dump you and start cruising Target to pickup someone else!"

.

It's squishy???? Can we sleep with it???

Oh and my grandmothers name was Ethel... we called her Honey - when my siblings started having kids I reminded them of grandma's sage advice... "Never name a child Ethel..." :rolleyes1

Daytime weather is usually pleasant in May, but it can cool down in the evening. A sweater or sweatshirt should suffice.

Joseph

Especially one I will buy at DL!!!

That would be us!!!! Dont know when it is though...:)

Yes you do... you're just afraid of having a crowd!!! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi, miss you guys. Well, we had to admit Frank (DFIL) back into the hospital this morning. I am sitting at his bedside now typing on the bberry. He has a very sick stomach and a high fever. They think it is his gall bladder. While in the emergency room he got the worst case of the hiccups and they have given some drugs but he still has the hiccups.

His roommate is crazy. He is screaming and yelling all kinds of crazy stuff. He looks like he is very old and very sick. He should be in a private room. The nurse said they are trying to get an order for meds to calm him. Oh what a nightmare.
Lisa

Lisa... Many :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I never pictured them with a roof.

This isn't so bad a place....I'll keep my cat 4 room and you're invited any time to enjoy the verdana and to waive to the other lifeboaters.

I guess you wanted a convertible? Not good in rain....

Lisa - hope you are ok and Frank is doing well.

I am watching an old/new Brothers and Sisters I missed.....love this show.

I LOVE THAT SHOW!!! & Men in Trees

Make it a skimpy bikini and female instead, and I may trade down.

I thought you said no speedos?????

IMG_4915.jpg

john2 had long hair too!

REAL MEN WEAR PURPLE AND PINK BACKPACKS!!!!! :lovestruc :lovestruc

molly keeps talking about locks of love, but it makes me so sad to think of her losing her long hair. loss of innocence.

Yeah, but that's really something to be proud of!!!! & it will grow back!!!!

Time for bed. Took me an hour and a half to clear snow tonight. That was AFTER I had to fix the blower. It started revving really high - I thought it was going to blow up! It is a Deere two stroke single stage blower. I called the hardware store, and they thought it was the throttle governor. I went back out to the garage with a wrench with Amy yelling "you're not a mechanic!"

As it turns out, it was the muffler - it had shaken so bad, that the two long bolts that hold it over the engine head had completely vibrated off. Simple fix.

The snow that fell today was really wet and really heavy. It took several passes to clear the drive and the walks.

Night all!

I love it when you guys start to talk power tools!!!

With all this talk of nose spurs and nasal this and that why do i keep picturing Arnold Schwarzenegger from the movie Total Recall???

total_recall_12.jpg

That's one hell of a booger...

John - you use a snow thrower? We must be a hardy bunch here in Chicago! I was out at 5:00 AM today with my shovel and a bucket salt.

Then after I finished shovelling the snow, I milked the cows, slopped the hogs (or is that slapped the hogs), helped the neighbors with a barn raising, and then walked 10 miles to school, where I had to chop 75 cords of wood to stoke the stoves to get up a good head of steam to power the wood burning laptops!

Well ... maybe I just shoveled the snow, and I did use only a shovel and then salted the side walk.

Admittedly, I only do the front sidewalk, and that's only about 25 feet. But, was out there at 5:00 AM and it was all handcrafted Chicago shoveling!

Yeah, I'm waitin with my $25 check for the guy down the street to come do my driveway... :worship: :worship: :worship:

I am sure v will be out here more than me....now that she has an extra computer...maybe I can research my fantasy team come football season without being pushed out by the disney boards.....and she hasn't signed me up for anything crazy has she/ although I would expect it.

John... no spilling secrets on V... Thats HER job!!! :rotfl:

Welcome to the board....

Now you have to be like Angie and Dennis... reply to each other while Dising!!!

Us Canadian folk are just such practical people!!!

Isn't that right PJ, eh?

;)

& from one who is twice removed...sort of... (my great grandparents got thrown out for stealing horses...)

yes...not really snark snark...my dog is trying to sniff the beef jerkey away from me...

OH you should put that one in your avatar and see what the TF thinks!!!

Strange Wilderness was our most recent stupid but funny movie.

Ever see "The Great Outdoors" with John Candy and Dan Ackroyd???? That's us on vacation...

Oh John, you have no idea what she's signed you up for....something to do with Tiaras or something like that...can't....quite....remember.... :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Just make sure you and John1 have your bedazzled spanx with you...

I'm going to be wearing a pink top....with what ever shorts I have clean that day :rotfl2:[/QUOTE

After 10 days, 30 meals and 2 kids I'm just hoping I have clean shorts!

That fit!!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Now that I have caught up and have taken up the last two pages...

Night all!!! ;)

molly keeps talking about locks of love, but it makes me so sad to think of her losing her long hair. loss of innocence.

Jacinda has done it a few times. She went from hair past her butt to right below the shoulders. She does like it longer though.

You mean you don't know? :rotfl:

just kidding of course :rolleyes1

Ok, life as a single dad and working in accounting is catching up with me. Hope there was nothing too important in the last 35 pages from today that I missed. I am taking a short break from the work I brought home as I am coming up on our Fiscal Quarter end and that means lots to do. So if I am not lurking, know that I am here in spirit. I SO need a vacation! Somebody please pass me another mug of beer!

I'm going to look for raid when I get back here, I have to go get the kid at school.

You must have killed my friend!!!:scared1: :lmao:

Looks pretty plush to me!

Well, there is a roof, I hadn't noticed before - cool! I can bring our Bon Voyage stateroon decorationsfrom our last trip now!!!!

Doug and I would like to introduce Mickey's Mouse better known as Mickey. He came home today and right now is telling us in no uncertain terms that we should be paying attention to him and not the Dis. The cats aren't quite sure what to make of him.

Carol

He is so cute. Hope he let you sleep last night.

We are using DVC points at GC

Same here, though till we had DVC points we were at the Candy Cane Inn, but had to use the points before December.

And some bigger shorts/trousers after 15 days onboard.

john2 is now officially posting as gatorjohn.....
john1 - are you ready for some March Madness?

Hi John.

Well we had an earthquake last night. It woke John but I slept through. 5.something, our biggest ever, but up to a few years ago we never knew we even had earthquakes!

Plenty of talking about it going on on the TV. Interesting. Lets see if they blame it on global warming!;)

I would have slept through the big Northridge Earthquake in '94, except it woke my ex-wife up and she grabbed a large patch of my chest hair, pulled, and screemed "EARTHQUAKE." I had no choice but to follow my hair as she was jumping about! Thankfully the boys did sleep through it and her rantings!:goodvibes

You really didn't have any choice there did you?:lmao: Now your earthquakes are scary.:scared1:

One reporter has called it 'a very British earthquake' because everyone is standing around talking about it!!!:confused3 ;)
